Déja vu. A complete deja vu!

That is what I am experiencing right now while I'm pushing the cart while following Keya inside the grocery store shuffling on the shelves for supplies. The difference is that she's not pregnant this time and I on the otherhand does not give a single shit anymore if someone sees us and decides take a photo then post it on their social media and spread false rumors. Seriously, I don't care anymore!

She heard me chuckling a bit when she puts a huge bag of gummy bears in the cart.

"What are you laughing at?"

"I thought gummy bears was just your pregnancy cravings."

"I thought so too." She replied and continue on getting groceries that she needs.

"It's really nice to see you." I said. "Anyway, did you received my text few days ago?"

"I'm actually surprised to receive your text." She said sighing. "Usually you need a Ouija board to communicate with the devil."

Devil.

That slam hits me right to the core but I remained calm.

"Let's cut to the chase Tyler, what do you really want with me?" She stopped facing me this time giving me her do-not-mess-with-me look. The Keya I knew who looks very fragile is gone now, it was replaced by a vixen who is ready to eat you alive. "Clearly you have no obligations with me anymore."

"I know." I politely answered. "But I told you, I want to make it up to you. And I want us to be friends this time."

"Just why?"

"We had history Keya, we almost had a baby together--" I tried explaining but she cuts me off real fast.

"The last time I knew you don't want to be involved with me nor the baby." She said looking at me with her furrowed brows. "Should this be a huge favor for you that I finally don't have any interest on being a part of your life?"

"That is not true. Look, I know you hate me for the things I did to you before. I was an asshole. But all I want is another shot, I have changed Keya. I learned all my lessons, I want us to start over and be friends. For the sake of our son..." I said sighing completely stopping myself from getting emotional at the mention of my son. "...I know he is somewhere out there looking at us both. For sure he wants the same thing--for us to be friends."

She stared at me for longer than five seconds right before moving again. Surely she was contemplating the words I have said, hopefully she'll agree to it and finally gives us a chance to start over. I really want to make it up to her and apologize for all the things I did and for the loss of our son.

When she's finally done shopping, we head to the cashier and I immediately stopped her when she tried to give her credit card.

"Let me pay it for you."

"No, it's fine. You don't have to." She protested.

"I insist." I said handing my card to the cashier which he instantly accepted.

Keya sighed looking at me with her usual resting bitch face. Did I mention how sexy she gets when she is annoyed or just not in the mood? I'm liking this side of her that I am just seeing for the very first time. It is quite intimidating and makes me anxious that what if I mess this up but I hope she'll have the patience to deal with me every chance I get.

"Are you trying to buy your way into my good graces?" She asks planting his right arms on her waist.

"Absolutely not." I replied. "This is just me being a gentleman."

She squints her eyes looking straight at me and I couldn't help but giggle.

"I take it Tyler Seguin are you wooing this lady out here?" The cashier suddenly chimed in which causes me to be surprised including Keya since the stranger recognizes me.

I smiled. "I guess I am." I replied trying to see his name tag. "Xander... Yes! I am."

"No. Don't listen to him." Keya calmly said as she shakes her head.

When we made it to my car as I am starting the car's engine she breaks the silence right away.

"I still don't trust you." She declares. That made me feel hurt but I definitely understand. "You might be doing all this gestures at the moment but that doesn't mean you'll earn my trust instantly."

"I know." I replied. "But just let me prove it to you, slowly. And I can wait anyway, no pressure."

Later on, we made it to her apartment building and I insisted again to help her with the groceries but she refused again, real firm this time and I couldn't help but stop from insisting. I don't want to be pushy since I know that she is still doubting me.

"Are you sure you don't want me to carry those groceries?" I asked again looking at the two big bags full of groceries she is carrying.

She nodded. "Thank you for the ride, and for paying."

"Anytime." I said and then she started walking away. "Ahh... Keya?"

"What?!" She answered without looking back at me.

"Can I see you again next time?"

Finally, she looked back glaring. "I see you when I see you Mr. Seguin."

Keya may still have some issues with me, and I am glad that she is blunt enough to say that to my face. Above all, I am also thankful that despite of my faults I guess she's giving me a chance to prove myself to her.

Oh! Things would be so good if our son is alive, but I know he is looking down on us smiling from the fact that finally his parents are reconciling and starting to makes things right with each other. I hope he is proud of me and of his mother Keya.

I'm willing to wait until she finally trusts me. I just have to do all the certain efforts and try not to mess things up again. I want to be a real good friend to her, as much as possible!
