i wasn't going to back away, "what are you saying?"
i asked, hoping for a more clear explanation.

"i'm offering u- an extended affair. perhaps u would like to have dinner with me darling,"

she placed her hand on my cheek, the same comforting way y/n did. almost luring me in to the point i couldn't resist. "but— what about y/n? i thought u said i had to— what? Ms Blanchett please, i'm confused."

"oh sweetheart call u can call me Cate."

"no, if u want me to end my affair with y/n to keep my job then i will- but i don't want to become ur- little entertainment just to keep it."

"Sandy u don't understand.. this isn't about y/n. i have my own things to confess as well. i've caught feelings for u. and ever since i found out about u and y/n it made me- jealous almost. my deputy had caught u guys- lingering around after classes and i told her i'd put a stop to it. but u are just- u don't understand how u make me feel inside- i want to start something with u,"

"i want y/n tho.. not whatever u want with me. Cate- i just met u,"

"u don't know about me and y/n do u?"

i raised my eyebrow, what did she mean by this?
"what about u and y/n? don't tell me—"

"well u know- one of us would have to tell u at some point- y/n and i have- almost had an affair- not too long ago before u came actually- but i'm older than u and clearly mature enough to stop myself before it's too late,"

"oh.. then why were u threatening to fire me? so u could have ur eye back on y/n without me in the way?" i looked into her eyes looking for an answer.
"do u STILL have feelings for her? is that what u're telling me?"

she looked back at me, her lips were slightly parted and her eyes trembled slightly as if she was looking for an answer herself. before i could open my mouth to say anything else, she leaned in while pulling me close and kissed me tightly. without thinking, i kissed back not knowing how to react. i couldn't describe my feelings towards either of them if anyone asked.

i pulled away after a moment and looked at her with nothing else but shock in my face. "Cate..."

"Can we talk? later? after school?"

"i don't know i- i planned up to talk to y/n as well at mine."

"she can have a say in this too. just- please?"

"oh.. i see- i'll see what i can do. i'll call u Cate."
