*Draven's Pov*
Merida's eyes widened as they locked mine.
"What?!" She shouted at the guard.
Maybe I really should give her expression lessons, that'd definitely help me being less embarrassed.
The guard threw me a questionable look.
"Yeah, Ummm.....hey, can you take us to them?" I asked the guard.
"Who?"
"The...ummm—five brothers and the mother, ones who are being.... Tortured?" I asked innocently.
"Well, you wouldn't like the view."
"I—its...." I looked at Merida then added "it's ok...just lead the way please."
He took us through a hallway that was filled with princes and princesses pictures, I would be beautiful on that wall really.
The hallway was too long that I felt like I'm going through a tunnel.
But the voices kept on coming louder and louder.
And merida's eyes slapped mine further and further.
Then, the guard stopped, his hands were on the door knob. "You sure about this? You'll regret it." He warned.
"We're sure." Muttered Merida behind me.
She pushed me out of her way and stepped in front of me. "What? I'm the one who's supposed to be seeing it first." She said rolling her eyes.
Brat.
The guard looked at us with narrowed eyes "you...you two are weird—people don't usually get excited to see people's tortures....are you two sure your quite all right?"
nOpE.
Definitely not.
"Yes...we're alright. We'll take it from here thank you." I said.
"Oh no, I must take you back when the time is done."
"Time is....done?" Asked Merida raising her eyebrow.
"Yes, you're not allowed to be staying here forever of course, you have A limited time."
"And that is...?"
"15 minutes. No more, no less.....well, if you want it less than that'd be good."
Merida opened the door, her hand shaking on the door knob.
I put a hand on her shoulder.
She pushed it away and rolled her eyes.
Question.
Why did I think of doing that from the beginning?
Then, she opened the door.
The screams grew louder and louder in my ears.
I covered my ears with my hands.
How could I take this for 15 minutes?
Merida's eyes were teary. A miracle.
"M-mother?" She said in a low voice.
I looked at her then back at the bodies at the ground.
5 tall boys were on the ground with their feet tied and their hands tied. They're bodies were moving like a worm on the ground, screaming.
Then, in the middle was merida's mother.
With a rope tied on her neck and hanged up to the ceilings.
Dead.
Her eyes were opened bloodshot red.
I looked back at Merida to find tears on her cheek.
I wanted to wipe them away but that'll feel stupid.
Merida moved slowly toward her mother, looking up at her dead body hanged.
"No-" she said covering her mouth.
"Merida I'm-" I started.
"I don't want your pity! You made this! You killed her!" She shouted.
How dare she speak nonsense—
"What are you talking about?!" I shouted back.
"She's dead because of you! How did I not know this— YOU BETRAYAL!"
"DONT YOU DARE SPEAK BULLSHIT! I DID NONE OF THIS! CAN'T YOU SEE?!"
"THE ONLY THING I CAN SEE RIGHT NOW IS YOUR DEATH!" She said.
Then, she moved her sword, fighting me.
Again.
I took out my sword and faced it with hers. Her eyes scanned mine.
"How dare you kill my mother!"
"I did not kill her you brat. Now put the damn sword down or you'll never know the truth."
Her eyes were full of hatred but then she slowly put her sword back down.
Good girl, now let's see how good she can survive this.
She wiped her tears away and moved towards her brothers.
They were still screaming so loud that I re-covered my ears.
I looked over at them.
Do I help them?
Why are they here with no one to guard them?
Why are they screaming if no one hurting them?
Merida sat down beside a red-haired boy. They're eyes were covered.
She sniffed as she said "let's help them out."
But that's when the door shut close.
"Oh no darling, you really thought I'd leave them alone like that to flirt with the air?" Said a voice behind me.
The queen's throne showed up with her sitting leg-crossed on it.
"Come here darling, I have extra seats for both of you. Don't you like hearing their screams?"
