Above ground...
"Zenaia!" Sayla screamed when the woman's body suddenly went limp.
Nang dahil sa malakas na sigaw na iyon ni Sayla ay sabay-sabay na napalingon din ang lahat kay Zenaia na siyang biglang nawalan ng malay. Mabilis pa sa hangin na sinalo ni Billius ang katawan nito bago tuluyang matumba sa damuhan.
"Zenaia!" tawag dito ni Billius habang niyuyugyog ang balikat nito.
Unresponsive, Zenaia's head lolled to the right side.
"She's not breathing," pansin ni Cedric matapos mabilis na pasadahan ito ng tingin. Unti-unting nawawala ang kulay mula sa mukha nito dala ng pangamba.
"I can't hear a single heartbeat as well," dugtong din ni Jordan na siyang bakas din ang takot sa itsura habang nakatayo sa tabi ng kaibigan.
"Is she..." Napahinto si Christof, hindi maituloy ang tanong nang makita ang nagdidilim na anyo ni Billius.
"No." Billius growled at them lowly. "Don't you dare say that," he warned through a dark tone.
Sabay-sabay silang bahagyang napaatras nang maramdaman ang puwersa na nagmumula rito.
"I think Lucifer brought everyone in the underworld," mahinang saad ni Sayla na siyang puno rin ng pag-aalala ang itsura at hindi maalis ang tingin kay Zenaia.
"Pero bakit bigla nalang nawalan ng malay si Zenaia? She's not breathing as well. Does it mean her body is dead?" Nahihintakutang tanong ni Gavin.
"No, I think she's just unconscious."
"How is that unconscious? She looked completely like a corpse. You can't hear a single heartbeat!" saad ni Gavin.
"That's enough! She's not dead!" Angil ni Billius dito.
Lahat sila ay tuluyang napaatras sa takot nang magsalita ito. They couldn't meet his dark gaze. He looked livid enough to kill someone.
Christof put a hand on his twin's shoulder to stop him from saying anything anymore.
"Nasaan na ang mga kasalanan? They just suddenly vanished out of thin air," tanong ni Jordan habang lumilinga sa paligid.
Mahigpit na kumuyom ang mga kamao ni Billius, bagay na hindi nakaligtas sa matalas na paningin ng lahat.
"Lucifer brought the seven deadly sins and the demon princes back in the underworld." It was Sayla who spoke, repeating what she said earlier.
"Ngunit bakit nandito pa rin si Zenaia? Bakit siya lang ang naiwan? Isn't she one of the seven deadly sins?" tanong ni Jordan.
"Something wrong must have happened. Sigurado akong kagagawan din iyon ni Lucifer," sagot ni Christof.
"No. Zenaia is with them," Sayla told them.
Napatingin naman dito ang lahat.
"What? How?" Gavin asked, petrified.
"It is only her soul that had left her body. She and the rest of the seven deadly sins are now in the underworld. This body that she left is of a human's. Iyon ang dahilan kung bakit naiwan dito ang katawan niya."
"Billius!"
Sabay-sabay nilang nilingon ang nagsalita at nakita sina Aileen, Queen Sofia, Caleb at ilang mga werewolf guards na patakbong papalapit sa kinaroroonan nila. They all looked like they just came out of a battlefield, which they did.
"What happened? We were just gathering some rare berries near a spring a few kilometers away from Veseva's house when all of a sudden, we heard a loud explosion. And when we got back, Veseva's house was already in ruins and then, there are rogues and deranged everywhere," saad ni Queen Sofia sa alalang tinig. Her eyes then widened upon seeing the situation before them.
