I stood there, with my revolvers aimed at the two HVTs. They also stood there, with their hands up. "So.... Who are you fools?" I asked them, keeping my revolvers trained on them. If they tried to run, I had hallow points that would blow them to hell. They said something in German to me, I got pissed after a minute, and shot a round at the wall behind them. One spoke english finally. "I work with DAHL!!! I WORK WITH DAHL!!!! I'M THE EXECUTIVE MANAGER!!! Please don't shoot me-e-e-eeee!!!" He broke out crying, and curled into a ball. "Wimp." I said, and shot him. The other one simply put his hands up, and said, "I'm a watchgate and ILA general." I then shot him, blowing brain matter on the wall. I got onto my comms and said, "Mission accomplished archangel. Let's head home." I got a sharp, and sudden response. "Colonel! We got a fuckton of hostiles heading your way! We also have reports of massive concentrations of armored columns heading towards the Sudanian border. We got a CHI-127 Combat Chinook incoming to extract. We'll try to thin out the hostiles, then we need to get a move to aylay. Archangel out." As soon as they cut the comms, massive explosions erupted. It was archangel firing. I rushed outside of the building, and linked my cross-com to archangel's fire control TV. I saw what they were talking about. Tanks... Tanks with two barrels... Shit. These were T-178 'apocalypse' tanks. They were made by the Chinese, but never implemented. There were hundreds of thousands of them made, but never used, ironic. They were considered 'invincible.' I would love to see that hulking bastard tough out an AC-17.
The specter was giving them hell, launching everything it had. "Predator this is silverback seven. We're coming in hot, I hope your clear of the area. Because I have a bunch of dudes ready to rain hell with all of the missiles, grenades, and bullets they have. I personally have a chain gun and hellfire missiles ready. Hey, Major, you can get your boys back to base. I have this handled." Is what the Combat Chinook pilot said. Archangel then stopped circling, and flew back to base. I really, really wanted to see this combat chinook rain hell. So I jumped on the compound's wall's stairs, and kept my body behind the wall, but my head sorta peeping over. I heard the chopper's blades and said, "Oh you guys are fucked." As I did, the chinook flew over, missiles, bullets, and grenades from launchers flying. "HOLY HELL!" I yelled! The Chinook turned to the side like a gunship and circled, occasionally swapping sides for the other side to reload. "WOOOO!!! GET SOME!!!" Is what the pilot yelled. They were blowing those tanks to hell, like they were paper. Some gunners on the tanks popped up, and tried to grab their MGs on the tank. Only to be shot to hell by the infantry onboard.
"C'mon! Is that all ya' got ya' bastards!!!!?" Is what the pilot yelled. As he did, a tank's top chassis turned, and shot a missile. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention they had missile and rocket pods. The missile was futile. It was zapped by the chinook's PDL system. Yeah, that's right. Every aircraft in the US military has PDL tech.
The tank was blown to hell by the chinook's crew. "That all?" The area had been wiped of enemy life. Allowing for them to finally extract me. The chinook flew over the compound, and hovered over my location. The ramp lowered, and a rope was thrown down. "Hook up." Said a soldier holding a rifle standing on the ramp. I took the D ring and stuck it to a slot on my vest. I tugged on it, and I was yanked up to the chinook. I got a foothold on the ramp as I came up. The inside of the chinook was busy. Soldiers checking rocket and grenade launchers. Along with ammo. The fire ports were still open, so if there were contacts we could engage them. I detached from the rope and took a seat. The soldier with the rifle also took a seat, and the ramp was raised. The chinook then turned to the right and started to fly towards aylay base.

"HOLY FUCK! WE'RE UNDER HEAVY FIRE! SHIT! OPEN FIRE!!" The pilot screamed into the intercom on the chinook. Everyone stood up, and locked and loaded. "Fire ports opening!" The fire ports flipped open, and everyone took their safety's off. The wind slammed in, and the chinook adjusted to it. We opened fire on anything that wasn't friendly. An hellhog flew under us, blowing up a row of apocalypse tanks in a gun run. "Aylay base this is silverback, we see a HOOOLE bunch of assholes down there. What's the status of the bas-" the chinook bumped around after being strafe by a jet. "Everyone good?" I asked, all the soldiers put a thumbs up. "What the fuck? James what was that?" The pilot asked his co-pilot. "We were hit by a SU-33 looks like." He responded. "Shit." The pilot said. "Silverback this is Aylay, you are cleared to land and rearm if needed. We're under heavy assault from unknown forces. We got everything we have out on the line." The base responded. The pilot said something back, and ordered to keep firing, we were gonna land. "Don't stop shooting!" He yelled. I was giving everything my ARX had. The Chinook was descending, and eventually all we saw was the airbase. With it's various trucks and tanks scrambling around the base. A SU-33 was coming at us from the left, I could see it because I was on the left. "BRACE FOR STRAFE!" I yelled, all the soldiers got down low to the floor of the chinook. I could see the jet coming closer and closer, but before it could get any closer and fire, it blew up in a explosion. A F-22/A king raptor flew by the chinook. "Silverback this is tiger three. I got your back." The raptor pilot said on comms. The pilot surely responded, and pointed out another jet. The pilot had switched frequencies, so we couldn't hear the cockpit. The raptor pilot acknowledged the sighting of the incoming jet. "I got him. Yee' haw'." There was another explosion, this time to the right. After another five seconds we finally landed. The ramp was immediately lowered. "Go go go! Get out! Come back with ammo. Predator your free to go." The pilot said as the ramp lowered. We all ran out, and the soldiers started grabbing boxes and crates of ammo. I looked up to the sky and saw the carnage above. It seems like whoever or whatever, may it be the ILA, MoC, or any other group. They have serious connections. F-22/As were engaging SU-33s and MiG-29 fulcrums. On the ground, M-5 "super abrams" tanks held the line with infantry, humvees with TOWs, and avenger laser hummers. Super abrams are essentially badass abrams. Armed with dual cannons and coaxial HMGs on each one, heavy armor, and a topside MG and near- automatic loading systems, they were a force to fear. They could easily destroy the apocalypse tanks. Avengers are basically humvees with mobile PDLs. They could zap any missile or rocket near them or any other friendlies. If any aircraft got close, their lasers on the back would destroy them. "Keep them back!" "ALL UNITS! WE NEED TO HOLD THE HOSTILES BACK UNTIL WE CAN GET THE HEAVY ARTILLERY ONLINE! WE'RE STILL WORKING ON IT! SO FIGHT LIKE HELL!" Is what could be heard on comms. Commanches were taking off to go support the ground forces. They were gonna need it, because behind that first wave, was another twenty waves of this nonstop chaos. We needed everything we could get. "FIRE BOTH CANNONS!" "INCOMING MISSILE SALVO!" "We got it. Defensive lasers activated." Shit... We were really getting pounded. It wasn't until I heard, "This is archangel, we're on the ground and need an extra crew member for the gunner." The pilot of the specter archangel said over comms, I decided to go help. "This is Colonel Slovak. I got you Archangel." I responded over comms. The pilot acknowledged, and told me to get over there quick. I ran towards the AC-17 and hopped onto the ramp as it was moving. They raised the ramp, and from the ceiling of the specter descended a pod-like object. It was the gunner's seat. It opened, and I hopped in. I then strapped in, and grabbed the two joysticks. It closed, and the display and controls came alive in a blue glow. The guns came up into the display, I could see what the camera on the guns could allow me to see. I was basically controlling two sea witches that can eat anything alive. On the AC-17, the guns could be swapped. So they could be moved from the top, bottom, and to the back. It takes a second though, so that is a disadvantage. But it still eats any aircraft alive. Oh, and depending on the position, the pod moves with the aiming, so aim up on top, the pod moves back, and so on. "Alright, we're moving." The pilot said, I was currently in the top view, so I could see that two F-22/As and a hellhog were escorting us to the runway. We were moving, fast. We needed to take off so we could assist as fast as possible. The two raptors flanked us, while the hellhog was behind us. We were in a diamond formation. We finally hit the tarmac, and we hit the thrusters, hard. We immediately took off at a steep ascension angle. We then immediately turned to the side and started firing. The raptors and hellhog broke off to engage other threats. I started scanning for aircraft, moving the turret around. I was checking the radar as well. "Want some? Get some." The fire control officer said as he launched a howitzer round. That was when the radar went off, beeping. "Fighter craft. Speed, five hundred miles per hour. Topside angle of gunship. Distance, five thousand feet away." Said a male voice. I quickly turned the gun turret towards the threat, a SU-33. I zoomed in on the jet, it was far away enough for me to use long-range optics. I then spun up the witches. "Alright ya' bastard... Eat tungsten..." I said to myself. "Rounds currently firing?" I asked the AI making sure I was firing what I thought I was. "Tungsten rounds." It said in a male voice. "Figured." I pulled the triggers, and the sea witches unleashed their fury at the jet. It took evasive maneuvers, but was too slow. It's wing and back-half were ripped apart, and the cockpit went flying. The radar beeped again, and again. "Multiple threats. Fighter craft..." I started to turn the turret towards the threat. "Bottom side of gunship. Switch is required to counter the craft." I quickly tapped the "bottom" switch button on the touch-screen. The turret folded up, and quickly went down. A hatch opened, and The turret unfolded. I was now looking at the ground, and the bottom of the specter. I turned to the right, and saw the jets. I quickly zoomed in, and pulled the trigger on the joystick to open fire. "Slovak! Keep them off us." The co-pilot said. "Hey, it's only me ok!" I responded sharply. The bullets tore into two jets, causing them to rip apart and scatter. There were two remaining, they split up. I quickly turned the joysticks to aim at one, tear it up, and aim at the next one, then tear it up. I made short work of that wave. "Multiple missile launches from the below us!" Said the co-pilot. I quickly aimed down, and saw the missiles coming towards us. I fired, and tried to take out as many as I could. I took out a large chunk, but the PDLs got the rest of em'. I turned behind me and saw a F-22/A in trouble. I fired on the SU-33 behind him. I hit the fuselage of the SU-33 and it blew up the jet. "Thanks archangel, I owe ya'." Said the pilot. This went on for an hour, until something changed. "Slovak, switch to the rear, we're goin in hot." Said the pilot. What for, I don't know. "We're gonna need your tungsten and explosive rounds. We're gonna use you for a gun run." He said, "Explosive rounds, right turret." I said, and the rounds switched to explosive on the right sea witch. "Shit. This is gonna be interesting." I had already switched to the rear, and could see that we were getting closer to the ground. "We'll go down to nine hundred, and ascend slowly. Fire on anything not marked friendly." He said, I confirmed and prepared to fire. Nine hundred? That was awfully close. And as if the whole thing couldn't get ANY more stressful, the co-pilot turned on music. It was A-ha's "Take on me." I quickly snapped, "DUDE! What the fuck?" I said on comms. The co-pilot responded with, "Hey! Gotta have theme music! Now shoot those fuckers!!!!" The specter then lifted up just a bit, but keeping at nine hundred. I could see the enemy forces. I pulled the trigger and sprayed across the area, blowing up tanks with just one sweep. "TAAAAAKE OOOOOON MEEEEEE!!!" The co-pilot sang along. "I haaaaate youuuuu aaalll!!" I said with laughter. I was sending the enemy forces to hell, clearing out most of their numbers. "Oh things that you say! WHOA-" the specter jinked up, rolling as it did. "THIS IS SUICIDE!!!! WE'RE BARELY DODGING THE FIRE!!" I yelled into the comms. "Hey! I don't care! Keep shooting!!" Said the co-pilot. So I did, sending scores of men to hell or heaven or whichever, in sweeps. It's good to be back on the front lines... "Alright... We're goin back up-" the specter was hit with gun fire, gun fire from AA systems and a jet. "Shit! They hit our wing!" Said one of the crew, "What?! How'd they hit us?" Asked one of them. "Don't know, must've been good shots." Responded another, "Or, maybe it's because they were already shooting everywhere." Said the fire control officer. "Who cares? We're goin in for a landing to rearm." Said the pilot. Specter crews usually don't get hit by gunfire. Since the AC-17 is so fast, it's super hard to hit. That's why they were freaking out.
The specter ascended, turned, and got ready to land. We had already hit the speed brakes, so that we could land immediately. The specter descended, lowered landing gear, and landed. "Alright Slovak, we got another guy that can take your place. From what ground reports say that gun run really cleared up the resistance. Also, the artillery is just about up." The specter stopped, and the ramp lowered. I unstrapped myself from the pod, and the door of it opened. "Alright well, that was something. I'll see ya' around major." I said on comms. "Alright, see ya' Slovak take it easy." I walked off the specter, and put my cross-com back on. The cross-com came alive, and immediately had an incoming transmission from Townes. I answered it. "Yes sir?" I said. "Slovak. I'm sure you've seen the assault. Those guys you killed? Yeah, they supposedly helped planned this attack. From what intel we gathered the ILA, MoC, DAHL, Watchgate, Blackwater, and an air force merc group known as 'Blackdogs.' Are leading an assault across Africa. NATO and other military groups including most US branches have mobilized. But as much as you may want to help, I need you back stateside. We gotta talk as soon as you get back to Bragg. I have a jet ready for you to jump on at Aylay. So get back ASAP." He said, "Alright, got it sir. Slovak out." The transmission then cut off. "Artillery is online!" Said the artillery crew on comms. "Oh I gotta see this." I said. I tapped into a drone's camera that was above the battlefield. It showed the carnage, and what was goin down. "Artillery fire in 3....2...1. Next thing that happened was a boom. A boom so loud, it nearly knocked me down. The camera then showed massive explosions across the battlefield. "YEAAAAH!!!" I yelled as the heavy artillery fired it's first salvo. The shells kept coming, the crews weren't backing down. "GIVE EM' HELL!!!!!" I yelled. Once I was done with my screaming and yelling I headed for the jet that Townes had prepared for me. It was a supersonic troop transport. Used to get troops to fast places.
I hopped onto it, and strapped myself, and my gear in. Then the jet did it's preparations, and took off.
