Fade closed the folded paper she had met under her desk before arranging her book under the table. She pocketed it instantly as she saw some of her classmates looking at the paper intently. She knew they were dying to read whatever's written inside.

This was the second letter coming in from the same Mr Anonymous and she didn't want to read much meaning into it. It was a new term and she's now an official student of Elite College, plus she won't even need a chaperone again.

Her heart fell at the thought of her chaperone, if only the new girl didn't come in between them. Even Kate thinks she's overreacting for wanting to cut him off entirely but she could see the way they stare at each other. She wasn't crazy for thinking they are involved with each other.

It's not everyday your boyfriend suddenly disappears from the face of earth after leaving you in a state of shock. Weeks later, he appears with a girl that calls him sweet names and wears his hoodies. She was no fool and she knew how people in love looked at each other. Mind you, all through his disappearance, he never replied your messages and he's expecting things to go back to normal.

"Guy, Stephanie is seriously sick. Let's go and check up on her now" Katerina told her as she walked closer to her and Fadekemi raised her brows in suspicion. Same Stephanie she saw yesterday and was healthy. Who knows though?.

"We will go after school joor. I'm tired" Fade groaned and Katerina gave her the stink eye. She stood up slowly and she picked up her school bag before walking out of the class trailing behind Kate. She was skipping school to visit a sick friend with Kate. No one was going to notice their absence, it was first week after all.

When they got to the car park, she was surprised to find another car waiting for them and she turned to Kate in surprise. Something fishy was going on but she couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly.

The car slid into the Oriladewa residence gracefully and Fadekemi looked around in awe. No matter the number of times she has come here, the whole place will always remain mind blowing to her. She got down after Kate did and she trailed behind her slowly. She mentally chided herself for coming here in the first place, she was probably going to run into Demi and that... that girl, Michelle or whatever her name is.

Kate knocked and the door was opened almost immediately by Michelle smiling widely. Talk about the devil and she appears.

Fade wanted to scratch her face with something but she decided against that. Mama taught her better than to get into a fight because of man. Kate hugged her and they kiss each other's cheek, while Michelle gushed about how her school uniform looked so good on her.

Ewwww, Talmobout hypocrisy.

"Fadekemi Hiiiiii" She shouted in her accent making the Fadekemi sound funny and Fade resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Heaven knows this is what she has been avoiding; a physical talk with the leech. Fade gave her a saccharine smile before walking ahead of Kate and Michelle. They could go to hell for all she cares.

"Why does she hate me so much?" She heard Michelle whisper to Kate in a broken voice and she somehow felt bad. The girl is probably not to be blamed because of her own boyfriend's inability to stay with one girl. Still, she's never going to be friends with that girl.

She made her way towards Stephanie's room and she hummed gently. She knocked gently before opening the door and she stepped in. Suddenly the door banged shit behind her and she realized the whole plan.

Demi was sitting on Stephanie's make-up chair. She turned as if she didn't see him and she tried to pull the door open but the person on the other hand was stronger and soon the door was locked from outside with key.

"You guys should settle your fight and we will be downstairs waiting" Katerina screamed and Fade hissed in annoyance.

"And don't be too loud when you're having reconcilation sex and please don't use my bed" Stephanie added with a scream. She heard their laughs and their retreating footsteps. Fade rolled her eyes and she wanted to scream at herself for being so stupid and not notice that something was fishy about Stephanie feeling sick all of a sudden.

She removed her sandal while pretending Demi wasn't in the room and she climbed into the bed. She could as well sleep since she had nothing to say to him. She already made her decision since and she wasn't going to go back on her words.

"Queen, are you really going to pretend I'm not here?" He asked in bewilderment and Fade felt like bursting into laughter. She maintained her composure and she closed her eyes. She didn't get enough sleep yesterday night and she's going to complete the remaining sleep right now.

She felt the bed dip beside her and Demi was sitting down on the bed. He held her right hand and Fade cursed her body for reacting to his touches. She was done with him and done with him for good.

"I take full blame for everything that happened. I'm so sorry about it all and I apologize for everything. I've been going crazy at the idea of you replacing me, please forgive me." He pleaded and Fade felt weak.
She had a lot to say to him but she decided against that, she just continued watching him stare at her.

"I want to end things with you now. You can date anyone you like for all I care, I'm done with you." Fade dropped the bombshell and she watched his eyes widen in shock.

She loved that reaction.

I've been unable to pen down anything sensible and I've erased this chapter like three times now😩😩😩
