They were sitted around a large table enough to host about thirty occupants and on the table laid a pile of cards and bottles of alcohol and a shisha pot. Fadekemi looked around and she saw no familiar face that she was currently comfortable with and she felt like a bait waiting to be devoured. It was time for the special after party and Jeremy promised to wait for her till it's done so he could take her back home unharmed.

Disposable cups with alcohol mixed with Pepsi was passed around and when Fade sniffed the combo, the alcohol was more than the Pepsi and Fade knew she was in trouble soon. Demi sat not too far away from her and he kept on sending her occasional glances. Stephanie and Katerina sat with their boyfriends and Michelle sat right beside Demi. Their hands were entwined and Fade shook her head to clear whatever thoughts were forming. She wasn't supposed to care right? That's exactly what she's going to do.

The MC picked a long empty bottle of alcohol and moved the content of the table to the next empty bottle where another individual stood to mix the drinks of the victims. Fade gradually felt tension settle into her body and she took deep breaths.

"Na every game dey get him own rules and this game wey we won play today get rules oh. If your mama go beat you for house, you fit just commot now. Nobody go insult you for school tomorrow oh" He paused and he looked around waiting for who was going to leave. Fadekemi wanted to leave so bad but her legs suddenly turned into jelly. They stayed rooted to the spot and she stared on.

"If you refuse to do a dare, you're taking three shots of our strongest alcohol. So that the game would start from a place of fun, everyone gets a shot each so we go dey prepared asper na ogogoro we con drink for here" He finished and the alcohol got served around. Fade gulped down her own share and she cringed at the burning sting. This wasn't what she signed up for at all.

The MC rolled the bottle and it kept on spinning till it slowly stopped at Michelle's front. Michelle laughed nervously as she stood up at the MC's command. She dipped her hand into the dare basket and she pulled out a wrapped paper. She passed it on to the MC who read it out aloud.

"Tell us one romance or sexual secret you promised to take to the grave with you. I'm sure you have a few of them pretty girl" The MC read the question and Michelle visibly paled. Michelle cleared her throat before looking at Demi then Fàdé, the crowd cheered her to talk and she stood up.

"I hooked up with Demi and we had sex all night" She answered and the table went wild. Fade's heart dropped into her stomach and the statement kept on repeating itself in her head. Her head was spinning and she managed to look up at Demi, she wanted to see his reaction. He looked calm and he had a smirk on his face while he replied the taunts of the boys on the table.
He didn't care.

The MC spin the bottle again and this time it stopped right in front of Fade. She smiled and she hoped her IDGAF face was on. She wasn't going to react to whatever shit went down here and she wasn't going to give anyone anything to talk about on ofofo spot. She dipped her hands into the dare jar and she brought out a tiny paper, she handed it over to the MC who read it out.

"If you have a chance to be in a relationship forever with someone in EC, who would it be and why?" The MC asked and she smiled. Everyone was looking at her keenly and waiting for her reply, Demi was staring at his fingers as if it was the most interesting thing at the moment and she knew he was waiting for her reply.

"I'd give anything to be in a relationship forever with Jeremy and why? Because he's everything anyone can ask for in a man and more. Wait till you're in a relationship with him and you'd know" She replied with a smile and the MC gave her a thumbs up. The table started hailing her and she smiled.

She'd be damned if she didn't see Demi's reaction to her answer and she wanted to laugh out really loud. The way he clenched and unclenched his fist and the way he drank his alcohol in one gulp. She saw him wince after and he looked up towards her direction finally. She took a sip of her own alcohol while maintaining eye contact with him.

Fàdé stood up to empty her disposable cup inside the trash and she walked by the pool side. She felt someone push her and she ended inside the pool without knowing how to swim. She kept on screaming for help while gulping water unintentionally. She could hear people rushing faintly towards her and screaming her name too.
