As soon as Niall came and took the seat beside me, mum and Maura laid out the dinner and even I was astonished on how they can cook something that looks and smells so good in a span of minutes.

"Eat up!" my mum clapped, obviously happy that we're complete.

Meanwhile, Niall did exactly what mum said and grabbed a piece of every dish and gently put it on his plate.

"You pig" Greg said, rolling his eyes but his face is full of fondness for Niall.

"So Niall" my mum said and I already have a feeling about what she's gonna ask him. "You're gay right?" knew it.

"Yep" Niall said before stuffing a handful in his mouth.

"You're okay with that?" my mum asked Maura.

"Ever since my husband, you know, left. I've always asked my kids to be honest to me and you have no idea how happy I was when Niall told me he was gay" Maura said, smiling fondly at her son.

Some lucky bunch, if I told my mum I was gay she would have cut off my head without another word.

"You got any boyfriends Niall?" mum asked and I saw Niall flinch for a while.

"Nah" he said.

"Any special boy at all?" I wanted to cover my face and tell my mum to shut up! I can sense Niall getting fidgety and awkward.

"Nope, although there's this one boy who satisfies my needs and another who makes me feel loved. They're my best friends and as long as I have them I don't think I'll be worrying about getting a boyfriend" Niall said.

I can see everyone else's confused faces when Niall said "satisfies my needs" and I couldn't help but wonder as well by what he means by that.

"How about you Harry? Any boyfriends or girlfriends?" Maura asked.

"Yeah, I have a girlfriend" I said, forgetting on purpose to tell them I'm straight.

"And she's a total; bitch" Gemma piped up.

"Gemma!" my mum said, shooting her daggers and ushered my dad to scold her, who in return just shrugged and went on eating.

"It's fine. We're Irish, we've heard words worse than that" Greg said, brushing it off.

"Well she can be a-- yeah, but she can be sweet as well" I said, shrugging and getting flustered as I felt Niall's eyes on me.

"How long have you been together?" Maura asked.

"Almost a year" I shrugged yet at the same time I can't believe I was able to put up with Caroline for so long.

"How about you, Gemma?"Maura asked.

"Single" Gemma answered dully.

"As well as Greg!" Maura said and I saw the way my mum's face lit up. I think she has a plan.

"Too lazy to look for a girl" Greg said, shrugging.

I just resumed eating and watching Niall at the corner of my eyes at the same time. I couldn't help but chuckle mentally as some sauce found its way to Niall's cheek.

I waited for Greg to wipe it off or for Maura to chastise him for it. But nothing. They were all busy drowning themselves in the delicious delicacies.

I have to take matter into my own hands.

"Hey Niall" I said.

"Hmmm?" he said as he turned around and I used the back of my hand to wipe his cheek.
