"Bayley! Get up! We need to hit the market while the guard shift changes." An annoyingly familiar voice pulled at my concentration. The memory of the dream man faded back into the farthest recesses of my mind, leaving behind only those eyes. "Damn it," I growled through clenched teeth. ~ By the light of the moon, Bayley's dreams - when she actually does dream - are filled with images of a man she had never laid eyes on. Something about him in comforting. He makes her feel safe, like the world really may not be such on awful place. By day, Bayley dresses leads a group of teenage thieves who steal only from the rich. Over half the city is in poverty and depends on the food and supplies the young thieves manage to take and pass out to those in need. For her, stealing is the only means of living. It's either that or starve to death. Luckily, she's a good as they come and her best friend, Peter, has his own blessed sticky fingers. Most girls her age are more concerned with finding a man to wed rather than where their next meal will come from. Still, Eighteen-year-old Bayley doesn't seem to mind. At least not until her dream man appears in front of her. The only bad news? They belong to two completely different worlds.
