Parent-nappers, rivaling "organizations," and spy training send Elodie's world spiralling, but what other secrets are there? Is there more to it than what meets the eye? The one thing she's sure of is that her normal life was now a not-so-normal life, and that Paris was definitely never going to the be the same again.

The idea for Homecoming crept into my mind after reading an article about veteran suicides. The idea, a small, unformed concept, chased me into my dreams and back into my daytime musings again. They fermented over the days and weeks and, eventually, became a story. This one is important to me. Just so you know, I spent the first third of my adult life in the U.S. Army. I spent two and a half of those years in Vietnam. I think about those years a lot. I think about Vietnam and my time there, the people I knew and surrounded myself with, and the people we fought. I know the Veteran suicide rate is higher than that of the population in general. That knowledge, those thoughts, and my personal episodes of PTSD-driven night terrors led me to a story of how a troubled person could be led to leave this life.
