In the winter of 1932, approximately seven and a half million Ukrainians and other citizens under Soviet influence were starved to death during a man-made famine. Some call it genocide instigated during a rise in Ukrainian nationalism. Others view it as the unfortunate result of mass-industrialization. Regardless, the death toll was catastrophic. Herein is the fictional story of two families that face the worst of the very real disaster head-on, and in the turmoil must question their leaders, their trust in each other, and their own moral guidance if they are to survive the Holodomor.

Before the first chapter of The Spider's Truth ever begins, whispers are already spreading through the kingdom of Celestria. Whispers of unease. Of doubt. Of people beginning to notice cracks in the foundation of faith that has ruled their lives for generations. This series gathers those whispers, letting you, the reader, decide what is fact and what is fabricated. Anonymous letters, some are confessions, others desperate pleas. Notes tucked under temple doors, nailed to market stalls, passed hand-to-hand in quiet terror. Each letter comes from an ordinary citizen living under a holy tithe they cannot escape and a crown that demands more every season. None of the writers know the whole truth, only that something is wrong, and that getting caught speaking of it means death. A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: These letters take place in the world of my upcoming fantasy novel, The Spider's Truth, but you do not need to know the story to read them. They stand on their own, small windows into a kingdom built on fear, debt, and secrets no one dares speak aloud. These letters do not spoil the events of my novel. Instead, they explore the world around it: the fear, the tension, the questioning, and the small acts of defiance that begin the bubbling of rebellion in the shadows long before a story truly begins. They're lying, but why?

SHORT STORY - FICTION Everybody knows the stories of Rapunzel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and the rest. But what about the stories that aren't told? What about the princesses who find that their happily ever after is a lie dressed in silk? That their once upon a time is really an agonising spread of years that does not end in love? This is a short story of a woman who was not locked in a tower but has never been free.

Perhaps its different being able to see what its like on the other side of the law? You know people throw around a lot of words when describing criminals, past or present. And yet they all seem to forget that they all have a reason. More importantly people forget that they are, in fact, human. But Christopher Capone intends to remind them all just how much they used to idiolize criminals. And hes going to give them a reason to again.

All Tabatha wants to do is to escape Northridge, to escape the violence and the crime. But as a new power seizes the country, the nation is plunged into dictatorship and terror, and Tabatha's dream to escape may only ever be a dream. Freedom is forbidden and opinions carefully censored, until she is approached by the Golden Thorns. A group of teens set on doing what the adults aren't able to do. Resist. And they are prepared to, no matter what the cost.

There's a prophecy, long forgotten by the people, but well remembered by the Empress. After all it predicts her downfall, after all it describes her nemesis. When all is lost one will be found, a kind one will see in the dark there's light to be found, a girl with ebony secret will journey with five strong, to a forgotten fortress, a mystical forest, and a mountain cold, to find three keys, one of silver, one of bronze, one of gold, and on the way the girl must pay, with friend, with family, with soul, the price of power, and upon the journeys end, this girl shall find the Empress in her bed, with one swift stroke she shall be, the ruler of the people free. Empress Ajatar and the Court of Malady rule the realm of Mars with a stiff hand. Fear, submission, and torture keep potential rebellions at bay. At the aid of the Empress are the gangs. Only for the ruthless and cunning, they keep to the side of Mars farthest from the Empress's reach. Radian Leeyung is the youngest of one of six such gangs, the smallest gang but arguably the most powerful. When the Empress tasks Radian and her gang with finding three keys in return for power over the entire far side they eagerly agree. The quest however, turns out to be far different than expected.

This is a story about a princess who is forced into a relation ship. The story takes place in a land with three empires: the Do empire, the Gulm empire and the Vero empire. These empires work together in a alliance called the Airos alliance. The princes feels trapped in her own castle. Untill one day she gest to meet her aunt for the first time and she would change the life of the princes forever.

Tick. Tick. Tick. Was the only sound that echoed throughout the room - the twins, a man, One, and a woman, Zero - laid awake in their respective beds waiting. Waiting for the sound the clock would make, mark the start of their escape plan. The same plan they have been working on since their family's corporation had taken out the only other corporation in Pravilum. On the eve of her wedding night to the heir of The Deluge Corp. La Infamous Incorporated made the fateful move that was a long time coming. After all, the two had at one time teamed up a long time ago to 'remove' the other two corporations; Sinclairen Industries and Orithy pharmaceuticals. Zero had loved him dearly and it had hurt like no other when her Father came home with a grin on his face. The same grin on his face that he always wore around her and her brother when he was exquisitely happy. When she was younger it would make her smile.

This is a story about modern oppression. I hope this reaches out to somebody someday. (P.S. This was originally a school assignment, and I'm deciding to post it here.)
