A war is brewing between the empires, one that has been in the making since the founding of Rivendell. The first strike is a crushing blow that brings with it a terrible tragedy. Five years later, the war is still ongoing, having reached a stalemate. Life in war has become the terrible new normal for King Scott, until it's disrupted by a message from the Ocean Queen. Lizzie has discovered something that brings back an old hope and sends her, Scott, and Joel on a quest to gather what they need to save the world. Along the way, they may just discover things about themselves that could change everything.

I feel like when people look at the royals, they think that we have it good. We're rich, have a lot of power, and can do basically anything we want! Well...that's partly true. The one thing we don't have is freedom. Ever since I was born, my future has been set in stone. I was basically guaranteed the role as king, even if I didn't want it. His parents were strict and gave him lessons upon lessons of how to be a proper prince and what fork to use when eating a meal, but none of it really sinked into Joel's mind. And that's mostly because he wanted to do his own thing and learn how to be a knight. What's the fun in being all fancy everyday when you can fight? Before sausage died he built a stone grave for Pearl . He placed her ashes in the grave and put the SunFlower Crown on it . Joel tried to find Lizzie but when he did she didn't know who he was and left . Joel with tears in his eyes ran to find The CodFather but he wasn't in his empire . Joel not knowing what to do went to Scott's empire , Rivendale . He saw Scott's lifeless body next to Xornoths in a circle . He took Scott's bidy and buried him next to Pearl . He placed Scott's crown on his grave as he died of heartbreak .
