Kimia Malaika déteste Mason. Vraiment. Enfin... presque. Elle est libraire, discrète, allergique aux paillettes et aux egos surdimensionnés. Lui, c'est Mason, meneur star et capitaine des Phantoms, celui que toute la ville veut dans son lit et qu'elle, elle veut juste voir disparaître de sa vue. Sauf que leurs meilleurs amis sont cousins. Que les soirées se multiplient. Et que chaque "je te déteste" ressemble de plus en plus à un "j'ai terriblement envie de toi". Entre piques assassines, regards qui durent trop longtemps et un secret qu'elle ne peut avouer à personne, Kimia va apprendre une chose : parfois, la ligne la plus dangereuse à franchir n'est pas sur un terrain de basket.

Nayéla Mbenza a toujours vécu dans un monde où rien ne lui manquait. Née à Cannes et élevée dans le luxe par ses parents franco-congolais, elle a grandi entre villas, voyages, voitures prestigieuses et soirées mondaines. Pourtant, ses parents lui ont toujours appris une chose : « Ton argent ne fera jamais de toi une meilleure personne. » À vingt-quatre ans, Nayéla mène une vie paisible à Lyon. Elle est indépendante, ambitieuse et refuse de se comporter comme une fille à papa. Jusqu'au jour où son père lui annonce une nouvelle qui bouleverse son quotidien. Elle va désormais avoir un garde du corps. Son nom : Kayden Kalume. Vingt-huit ans. Silencieux. Froid. Méthodique. Et beaucoup trop difficile à impressionner. Nayéla ne veut pas d'un homme chargé de surveiller chacun de ses déplacements. Kayden, lui, n'a qu'une mission : la protéger. Il devait protéger sa vie. Elle allait devenir son plus grand risque.

This poem is about exam stress and anxiety. I wrote it myself after completing my very first GCSE exam which was an RE one (Religious Education). I was very nervous because of the number of times it had been talked about by my teachers and the pressure I felt to do well. When I got it done, I was so relieved even though I still had a lot of exams to go. It gave me a source of confidence and I knew that if I could complete one, I could complete all of them.

A psychological thriller set in the Congo Jungle 1890, this short piece takes the first person perspective of a member of a Belgian team sent out into the unknown in search of the legendary Golden Land of El Dorado. The team are faced with threats from the native people, the wildlife and, eventually, nature itself. I did this piece for my AQA English A S coursework (ELLB2 2013-14). We had to take an idea from the novel 'Heart of Darkness' by Joseph Conrad. In the section stated, there is mention of an expedition that headed into the Congo jungle looking for the Golden City of El Dorado. NB: There was a word limit for this piece. (Writing relates to page 41 in Heart of Darkness (Penguin Classics edition). Passage beginning: 'In a few days the Eldorado Expedition went into the patient wilderness...' Passage ending: '... like the rest of us, found what they deserved.') The cover of this piece is the cover of the Penguin Classics version of Heart of Darkness, I do not own it.

Close your eyes, and imagine yourself as a rebel leader in the jungle of congo repbulic. Tommorrow you will fight the big fight against the troops of the government. Youre standing on a stage, and youre troops are in front of you. They are scared, and doubting to fight. This may be last the time they will hear you speak. You do not know what to say and than you start saying............ read and discover. This story is for all the people in the world who are facing hard times I hopes it helps you trough it.
