—(Murmuring to herself while shuffling through her file)
Aadaya has made life miserable! How can she just add extra shoot whenever she wants?!
She's added an extra Lakmè add in Avneet's 15 minute break time too, which is SO not fair. Avu does deserve a bit of a break.
On top of that this useless Faisu will never learn how to cook! Instead of sugar, who adds salt into a fricking chai!
And then there's poor Vai, she has to gulp down all of their awful contraptions which those two evil brothers call 'food'.
It's a good thing her immune system is SO good otherwise she would have been in the hands of death LONG ago...
I take a few more right and left turns walking through the third floor at an extremely quick pace trying to memorize and calculate all of Avu's timings when I bump tight into someone, every well organised file falling straight to the ground.
Which f*ucking idiot!—
Jaan: (not seeing who it is) Who in the living hell!
Girl: I'm so sorry! I was so preoccupied.
— I watch as the brunette bends down to pick up the files. I don't even make an effort to help, which might have been rather rude of me, but Im just so mad right now, that etiquette is my least concern.
All those files! Every one of them perfectly ordered according to every fricking minute, GONE!
That took me 2 and a half fricking hours to arrange.
I'm not sure I wanna sob or beat the living crap out of this girl!
The girl gets up with my files bundled into a stack as she hands them to me.
Her eyes meet mine and something deep in my heart suddenly flutters.
The girl quickly apologizes and runs off, but something is up.
I-I know this girl from somewhere.
Somewhere distantly in my childhood.
But who?!
The thought bugs me the rest of the way till I sit down next to Ashi at the common room.—
Jaan: hi.
Ashi: hey! By the way, I needed to tell you that everyone's schedule has been cleared this afternoon cuz Rohit wants to make a formal announcement.
Jaan: oh... but what about?
Ashi: (a bit sadder now) only time will tell. And very soon too.
Jaan: (confused) ok....
Jaan: (suddenly remembering the girl) hey Ashi... who's that girl? The brown haired one, shes practically my height and wears the cranberry lipstick...
Ashi: there's like millions of girls with that description... anything specific?
Jaan: um... I don't exactly know, I just feel like I have some connection with her.
I think she's new here too... uh. She has blonde streaks in her brown hair...
Ashi: (thinking hard) the latest person who joined us is... Riza Affrin?
Jaan: (her eyes widening almost like they're gonna pop out of their sockets)
Jaan: W-what did you say?!
Ashi: yeah, Riza. She's one of Rohit's friends.
Jaan: OF COURSE! Riza! It's her! (Suddenly hopping up and about to run off when she comes back)
Jaan: Wait... Do you by chance know where she could be right now?
Ashi: probably in the cafeteria.
Jaan. Oh. Ok THANKS ASHI! (Running off)
— Riza! It's Riza!
I knew she was alive! I just knew it!
I never once believed that shed died... I couldn't.
And I was right. She's alive, and she's here!
I run through all the corridors bumping into several people till I finally get to the cafeteria.
And she's right there, munching on a cheese sandwich, alone.
I walk up to her and she stares back at me, dropping her sandwich on her plate.
Every little memory of us together flows back to my head, followed by that dreaded day that she went missing. Then her funeral.
Where has she been?! Has she been well? Why didn't she come back to us?!
A million questions rush through my head but my eyes moisten with tears and so do hers. Before I know it Im fully sobbing, sitting on the ground crouching in front of her as I cup her face into my hands and she puts her hands on top of mine.--
Riza: (barely a whisper) Jannat.
Jaan: It's really you?! Riza. (Riza berries her face into Jaan's shoulder and sobs to her heart's content)

(walking through the garden)
Jaan: Where have you been all these years?
Riza: An awful lot of places actually... Moscow, Chicago, Paris, Lebanon... more than I can remember actually. Oh And I've also been to Australia!
Jaan: Whoa that's damn cool! I've been to umm... Mumbai. (letting out a laugh) but Avu did force me to go to Goa and Shimla once.
Riza: Who's this Avu?
Jaan: oh It's Avneet. I'm her personal assistant.
Riza: (her eyes widening again) A-Avneet Kaur? You know Avneet Kaur too?!
Jaan: yeah... She's actually a rather messed up person.
Riza: How does everyone know Avneet personally except me?! Even Rohit-
Jaan: You know Rohit?! And he didn't even tell me?!
Riza: yup, He's actually the reason I'm here... and happy...
Jaan: As dumb as he may be, hes a nice person at heart.
Riza: dumb?
Jaan: OH You have no idea! I have experience (making a vomiting action) his brothers and he is driving me MAD!
Riza: He has brothers?
Jaan: OH YES! Faisu, he's my boyfriend, and the worst mistake of my life, actually. (shaking her head as if some distant memory just struck her) Idiots, all of them!
Jaan: (checking the time) Oh shit! It's 11:40! We have to get to that meeting!
Riza: What meeting?
Jaan: Rohit wants to make some sort of formal announcement and were told to be there by 12 sharp! Lets run!

(Avu zoned out)
Ashi: Avu? Avu!
Avu: (snapping out of her daze) yes Rohit?!
Ashi: Rohit? Where Rohit? (dramatically) Im not Rohit! Im Ashi! How could you forget my name?!
Ashi: I mean... Ashi. Sorry yes, Ashi.
Ashi: Um... Its your breaktime. But first! Tell me what's wrong with you! (teasingly) Why are you dreaming about Rohit??
Avu: I-I am NOT dreaming about Rohit! Why would I dream about Rohit? What the hell?
Ashi: Exactlyyyy...
Avu: Anyway... We have to get to Rohit's formal announcement right?
Ashi: Again Rohit?!
Avu: (going red then rolling her eyes) Just tell me the time.
Ashi: 11:40.
Avu: Great! Lets go or we'll be late.
Ashi: Yes let's go see Rohit before you drive yourself completely mad!
Avu: but First... I'm gonna freshen up. I'll see you there. Gotta fetch Jannat too! Byee!
(Walking into her room where Jaan and Riza are chatting away and Avu dashes straight to the closet)
Jaan: (to Avu) someone seems extremely jeary. What's the occasion?
Avu: (putting on fake eyelashes and mascara) oh nothing. Just wanna dress up cuz my mood is good.
Jaan: hmm... (teasingly) is it cuz Rohit is calling us to a meetingg?!!
Avu: (going red) u-uh certainly not! Cant I just be in a good mood?!
Riza: (freaking out) first of all, AVNEET KAUR AAAA! Second... y-you like Rohit too?
Avneet: too?
Riza: yup, cuz girl Rohit definitely likes you.
Avu: (her eyes brightening up) he does?! I-I mean of course he does! Everybody does.
(Jannat just rolls her eyes at the mess)
12:00pm
Jaan POV
Ashi: Where is Avneet and Jannat?!
(Avu and Jaan walk in)
Ashi: (noticing how Avu looks nice and feels just sadder) (but smiling) well Avu. It's a meeting not a party.
Avu: doesn't hurt to dress-
Ashi: (teasingly) to impress??
Avu: (smirking) to impress, myself!
Jaan: (from the side mockingly pointing at Rohit) and someone else too.
(Jaan and Ashi laugh and Avu just blushes)
(Everyone takes their seats and Riza pops down next to Jaan)
Rohit: (tapping his spoon to vine glass) Silence.
Rohit: It's been an amazing experience working with all of you. The BonBros Records have gone through many folds of joy and partnership by working with all of you, but like we all say, everything good comes to an end.
(Gasps come from everyone and people listen in shock)
Rohit: I am extremely happy to announce that our collaboration has been a great success for both the sides and indeed Mr. Mehra and I have had great glee in working together...
but now it's time for us to part.
A few months ago, we welcomed you and this beautiful collaboration with open arms, and today well be leaving you with many memories to recall.
So... today's feast is the formal way of ending our partnership and this toast goes to all of us, and our friendship.
(Noone other then the bon bros records original group, Rohan mehra and Aadaya raise their class)
(Everyone's rathermore shockstruck)

Were no longer working with them, so he's sending us back to Mumbai?!
I look to my side at Avneet and her cheeks are wet with tears, the mascara smudged all over her eyes and the tears leaving a black trail as they flow down.
She's heartbroken. Again.
How could Siddharth do this to her! How can he be so ruthless!
I watch as their cups collide and they sip some of the vine.
Rage fills me from top to bottom and the only thing keeping me from slapping Siddharth is the fact that Riza, who's just as shocked as I am, hands my hands down.
Ashi sits back down and I shoot her a glare, which I kinda take back cuz she looks genuinely hurt.—
Jaan: (to Ashi) you knew about this?
Ashi: (slowly nodding) I don't like the decision, but he's my brother and we vowed to always support each other. All of us.
Jaan: (still mad) but just look at Avneet! She- she's heartbroken! And I'm not going to let this happen to her again.
—Everyone else starts to eat but I just shoot up from my seat and help Avu up, who dosent even question me and just comes with me. Riza follows too.
I wait just before walking out and walk up to Rohit, who isnt even surprised at my uproar, afterall he knows us too well.
I stop in front of him, only to have Rohan shoot me a 'don't try anything before I fire you' kinda look and glare at Rohit.—
Jaan: (whispering-shouting) I hate you Siddharth!
Rohit: Tell Avu I'm sorry...
Jaan: No. I will not let you break her heart again!
(And with that she storms out of the hall, Riza and Avu waiting for her in the caffe)
Avu: (sobbing aa Jaan higs her) I am such a stupid person.
Jaan: no Avu, you're not.
Avu: w-What do you mean! I fall for every other person I come across. And they break my heart.
Jaan: no Avu, Rohit doesn't mean it.
Avu: what do you mean he doesn't mean it! He quite literally told us to go!
Jaan: no. Avu-
Avu: stop trying to comfort me Jaan! (Through sobs) they all leave. Everyone I've ever loved.
I have no dad. My mom hates me. Siddharth died! I think I'm cursed!
Jaan: shh! (Whispering) Don't say that. You're not alone, you have me. Faisu, Abhi, Vai, Riza!
Avu: But you guys love each other, you're gonna get your own families. (Barely a whisper) and then I'll be all alone.
Jaan: You won't be alone Avu, You won't!
Avu: you're just trying to make me feel better, but you too know that there's truth in what I say. I'm meant to be alone.
(Jaan just lets her sob into her shoulder and pats Avu's head)

Rohit: And now don't lecture me Ashi!
Ashi: how could I not?! Did you not see how Avu felt! She's heartbroken!
Rohit: I know it was hard on her. But I need to find Sana.
I just have to! And I'll do anything to get there.
Anything.
