Amira POV*
I woke up to a screaming baby, I check my nightstand clock and it's 6am. I get out the bed and put on my green adidas sweatpants and my pink sweatshirt. I'm all ready by 6:30 so I watch TV while I wait for Ez. "Hey why are you up" Jay says holding Jaykes. "Jaykes was crying" I say. "why are you up, you don't have work" I say. "I have taser requalification today, but I'll be back before lunch" he says. "Hey you three" Hailey says walking down in her PJ's taking Jaykes from Jay's hands . "It's a getting colder so grab your other coat and hat" Hailey says. I run up stair grab my gray coat and black hat and gloves then run back downstairs.
"Hey I'm gunna go can you tell the boys I said bye" I say putting on the coat, hat and my shoes. "yeah is Ezra here" Jay says. "No but I'll wait for him" I reply putting on my back pack. "Have a good day" Hailey says as I walk out the door and wait on the steps for Ezra to walk by. "It been five minutes and he hasn't shown up, I don't want to be late so start walking without him. I get to the bus stop and see him sitting on the bench with the other kids from the block. "Ez where were you? I was waiting but you didn't show" I say tapping his shoulder. "Where were last week I called I waited for you" he says. "I lost my phone and I was sick last week all of us were. I was going to text you today but I figured I'd see you anyways" I say as the bus arrives and we get on. "So we good" I ask sitting next to him. "always, can't say mad at my only friend, plus lunch was so boring without you Lu" he says smiling. "Lu?" I question. "Yeah I thought since I couldn't come up with one for Amira I thought of Lu because of Lucia. Is it weird because I can-". "No it's good"
Jay POV*
"Jay your going to be late, go" Hailey say as he finishes type Auggie's shoes. "Are you sure I can drop them off" I says. "I'll be fine Jay, bye" she say pushing me out the door. I get to the bullpen and the instructor is already there. "Detective nice of you to join us, sit" he say as I walk past him to sit at my desk. "It says here that there's six of you, where-" he starts. "Detective Upton is on maternity leave" I say. "Again detective..." he say waiting for me to say my name. "Halstead". "Okay Halstead you'll go first for the taser requalification." he says. We get up and they make two lines on both sides of me. The instructor goes over all terms before it happens. "Would anyone like to volunteer to tase him" the guy asks. "I will" Adam says grabbing the taser and pointing it at my stomach. He presses the button and I feel the shocks go through my body as Kevin and the instructor slowly lay me on the ground."Okay your next" the instructor says to Adam. "I'll take him" Kim says shooting her hand up. "Dammit" I hear Adam say.
I pick up Hailey's favorite lunch on the way back from the district. As I driving to the house I see and ambulance pass by me going in the direction of my house. I try to call Hailey but she doesn't pick up. "please let it not be them" I say to my self as I pull into the neighborhood.
