The clean hallway was filled with police officers who were talking to the frantic nurses. The three boys were running down the hallway with Aunt May quickly following behind them. They were looking at each label of numbers beside the doors looking for Ava's room number. Sam had let out a gasp of relief when he sees the number they were looking foor and was the first to grab the door handle. A voice had called out towards them from the end of the hallway.
They all turned to the officer who had approached them along with a nurse and the three boys gave them a sour look.
"Are you one of the guardians of this patient?"
Aunt May:Y-yes I am...h-how is she?
*Peter looks over at Aunt May who was still shaken with her lips trembling, he grabs her hand when the nurse spoke next*
"Luckily she is fine, but...the bullet had damaged her liver and would need constant care for her treatment"
Luke:Is her...family okay?
*the officer and nurse were silent as they gave each other a small glance. The nurse dropped her head with a small shake on her head*
"The only survivors in the tragedy were her...and her older sister who is currently in surgery. Bullets were shot deep in her hip and the doctors should take them out...which might take a while of course"
*spoke the nurse with a sympathetic tone, Sam tightens his clenched fist that was holding the door knob*
Sam:Who...who did this to them?
*he asked with venom in his tone, the officer looked hesitant but let out a sigh and spoke*
"That is unknown. The people who did this crime must have done this multiple times, they left no evidence behind. As well with nearby street cameras being damaged...we will solve this case if you could corporate with us"
Peter could only look away from the officer from rolling his eyes. He stepped back while still holding May's hand, she cleared her throat and took a step forward, covering Peter.
Aunt May:Of course we will...Ava have no enemies that I know of, I doubt the kids know as well...
Luke:That's right, she would never try to make enemies and was a responsible person...but if you don't mind, who was the one who found her and her family?
"The one who found the bodies was the survivor's daughter, the person who called was her husband"
Luke:Husband?...oh you mean Ava's niece was the one who found them
Aunt May:Oh dear, that poor child...having to see her family's bodies must have been a huge toll on her
"It is...we'll be keeping in contact with you and the survivor's husband for any clues in this tragedy...I apologize for stalling you"
The officer had turned around and approached back to the rest of the officers. The nurse had nervously spoke.
"Ava is still asleep, so I hope you wouldn't make much noise to surprise her"
Luke:We won't
The nurse nodded and she walked walked past them and heads down the hallway. Sam had quickly opened the door and they all stepped in. With Sam being the first to see Ava laying on the white hospital bed with her arm out that was connected to an IV tube. He ran towards her and sat on the chair beside it, he grabbed Ava's cold hand and began to call for her while Peter closes the door.
Aunt May was sitting on a seperate chair that was opposite side of Ava with Luke beside Sam.
Sam:Ava...Ava we're here! We came as fast as we could...
Peter:Sam, she's unconscious remember? The nurse said that we shouldn't wake her up
Sam:Sh...shut up Pete
Peter:...fine whatever
*he stood against the door with his arms crossed against his chest*
Aunt May:Peter please...don't act like this
Peter:...sorry Aunt May, it's just...I have a small issue with police officers in general...and hospitals
Aunt May:I know Peter, but don't take it out on Sam and Ava...she dealt with enough
Peter:Yeah...sorry
*he bowed his head with a short glance towards Ava's unconscious body and felt his fingers dig into his skin and looks away. He felt his heart throb so he grabs the door handle*
I'm getting fresh air
*he steps out of the room before Luke could call out for him*
Sam:Why is Peter like that? Doesn't he understand that Ava nearly died today?
Aunt May:Sorry...this is hard for him too Sam. Sometimes...he needs some time for himself
Sam:It's hard for us too, he's not that special
Luke:Sam!
Sam:What I- ugh...sorry, but sometimes he just...acts a bit rude, has he always been like that Aunt May?
Aunt May:Sometimes, he's been worse after his uncle's passing a year ago...I would suggest him some help or talking things out between us but he doesn't seem to be willing to...it's fine though. He'll come back...
*she forms a small gentle smile towards Sam and Luke who just remained quiet and looking at Ava*
Peter was walking down hallways and past nurses with his hands inside the pockets of his sweater. Just by being inside the hospital room and looking at Ava made his blood squirm and have a huge headache. It just made him feel antsy of being in a hospital that wasn't for him from all the times that he would be dragged into surgery from stab wounds and bullets. Along with nearly dying by Harry...Peter held his head high from that memory.
Peter, god why do I have to remember that time from fighting with Harry? Why was I thinking of Harry at this moment anyway? I should think about Ava! Ava Ava Ava! She nearly died and could have dealt worse...who cares what I gone through anyway, I shouldn't complain.
Peter kept walking and stopped when Danny came across his mind. He nearly forgot about him just by his own selfish thoughts.
Peter, right Danny...I can't believe I nearly forgot about him. My stomach hurts just by remembering him...he should be fine at home alone right? Man, I feel bad for leaving him like that. I'm sure he understands...I'll explain everything when I see him...
He thought to himself before he stops when a person quickly walked past him to the opposite direction. Peter could only sigh and turned around to the person.
Peter:Danny...why the hell are you here?
*the blond froze and he turned around with a slight surprised tone*
Danny:How did you know it was me?
*he asked while looking at Peter's annoyed expression through the black lenses from his glasses*
Peter:No offense Danny but you're not very good with disguises...the glasses was a big giveaway. Who wears sunglasses in December?
*he spoke while he walks towards Danny and reaches for the glasses to remove them but Danny took a step back*
Danny:Sorry...but I'm wearing them since I look a bit...bad
Peter:(bad? Is bad even in Danny's dictionary? I can imagine the amount of eyes he gotten by walking in with sunglasses while it's snowing outside)
Danny you can't look that awful, remove them...how did you even get glasses anyway?
Danny:My driver had lend me his glasses
Peter:(why would his driver have-? Uh nevermind...)

Danny:No...I look bad
Peter:Oh come on. I doubt you even look any different
Danny:But...don't you like my face? I look bad right now
Peter:(Oh because I like his face...? Is that why he chose to wear glasses? How considerate and cute of him)
Exactly. I like your face so take the glasses off so I can see your nice eyes
Peter forms a playful like grin at Danny that just made his cheeks burn. He looks away when Peter gotten closer to him and noticed the green shining necklace around his neck.
(Hm? Why is he wearing Ava's amulet? Or Ava's old amulet...she's not white tiger anymore)
Peter:Hey Danny, why are wearing Ava's necklace?
*he reached his hand to the necklace but before his spider sense gave off his hand was instantly zapped from the bright amulet*
He groaned in pain and looks down at his red hand with a step back. Danny called his name as he grabs his injured hand and cups it in a caring touch.
Danny:It wasn't that serious right love?
*he asks with his tone that was calm but still panicked*
Peter:I-it's fine...
(Dumbass, why did I do the same mistake twice by touching the amulet again? This time it was...a bit more painful than last time, looks like it'll take a while for this to heal)
Danny:Okay...that's good
*Peter saw that Danny's hands began to shake as he kept holding his hand. Peter opened his mouth to talk but his lips glued back shut and glances away with glossed eyes*
Peter:(I remember being shaken up like this in the morning...now I feel worse of leaving him behind by seeing him like this. Wait isn't he sick? Why is now up and morning when he couldn't even lift a hand last night?!)
Danny...
Danny places his attention at Peter who had a cold stare towards him. A drop of cold sweat had slid down Danny's cheek from seeing the expression and forces himself to glance away despite Peter not noticing from the black shades.
Peter:Aren't you sick? How are you so fine now? Were you making me worry for nothing?
Danny:N-no, I am sick but...it's not serious, it's not like I will die love so you shouldn't worry much...
Peter:(I guess I was overreacting since I couldn't sleep because of him but, he was the one who kept making a big deal about everything last night)
Fine fine...so why do you have Ava's necklace? Now that she doesn't want it are you going to use it for yourself?
Danny:No...it's a bit complicated...how's Ava?! Is she okay?!
*he suddenly frantically asked as Peter forms a small smile and places his empty hand on Danny's cheek*
Peter:She's fine, Aunt May and the other two are with her...but...
*a breath escaped Danny's mouth as Peter's eyes trailed off with his mouth forming a small frown instead*
Danny:What? What is it Peter?
Peter:Let's talk in the waiting room...there shouldn't be a lot of people there
*he quickly removed his hand from Danny's cheek with an awkward smile*
Danny:But what about...
Peter:It's fine! I only stepped out for a breath of fresh air...it's hard for me too
*he wraps her arm around Danny's and stood beside him*
This is in case you don't fall and have me worry about you again
Danny:I don't mind...
*he had a fond and small smile as he looks at Peter who was looking away*

Sam was walking back and forth in the hospital room with sweat in his hands. Luke sat on his chair with his eyes planted on Ava, he let out a small sigh as he rubs his eyes from hearing Sam's rapid footsteps on the floor.
Luke:Sam, sit down already...you're making me have a headache from walking back and forth like that
Sam:Well sorry, I was only thinking of what to say to Ava when she wakes up...should we tell her about her family when she wakes up?
Aunt May:I feel like...we should tell her when she gets better
Luke:Are you sure Mrs.Parker? Wouldn't she be stubborn to know about her family?
Aunt May:She would but...she suffered enough from the wounds she recieved, we should wait until she is discharged from the hospital
*she spoke in a low tone as she grabs Ava's cold hand*
Sam:You're right Aunt May, but...what about news of her sister? Since she was the only one who survived in her family beside Ava
Aunt May:We'll talk about her sister when she wakes up, perhaps the news of her sister will cheer her up a bit...
Sam:I doubt she'll be happy...
*after he spoke, a female nurse had walked in with a clipboard in her hands*
"Sorry to disturb you but I have to do a daily check on the patient's vital"
Aunt May:Oh yes...we'll be outside then
*she stood up while slowly releasing her hand from Ava's, her and the boys had walked out of the room leaving the nurse inside*
The nurse had stepped in front of the heart monitor along with a short glance to the IV tube connecting to a bag at the top of a metal pole.
Ava, it hurts...where am I? Did someone....? Am I in the hospital? Mami...donde estas? Fillipo, Tia, abuelita...Awilda, am I alone? Where are they? I hope...they're fine
Without realizing, a tear as slid down from the corner of her eye. Her finger flinched and the nurse looks over to her, she forms a small smile on her face as she properly faced her.
"You woke up Ava. I'm glad you did after your surgery this morning, we called your guardian that was listed in your emergency contacts. Shall I bring them in?"
Ava, guardian? Does she mean Mrs.Parker...? Are they here too?
Ava's mouth opened but couldn't form any words but her eyes trailed away from the nurse. She understood this as a 'no' from her and she did a small slow nod.
"I understand. I will inform them to let you rest for a while and give you privacy. I just have to check your pulse and your doses if that's alright with you"
Ava did a small nod while the nurse had pressed a button on the small desk that made the top half of the bed to slowly move up; making Ava sit up from forcing herself. She watches the nurse write in her clipboard and looks forward to her lap, she couldn't help but hold back her tears.

Peter was sitting beside Danny in the empty waiting room looking down at his hands that was placed over his lap. He was done explaing to Danny of what the nurse and police officer told him and the others earlier.
Peter glances at Danny who was dead silent. He had his head low as his fist was tightly clenched on his lap and he spoke after a moment of silence.
Danny:Who...found her body? It was her niece right?
Peter:Yeah, that's what they told us
Danny:Which niece? Did they say?
Peter:No...they haven't told us much other than that
Danny:They still don't know who did it? Why are they taking a long ass time to figure this out?
Peter:It's obvious that they just found the bodies this morning since Aunt May gotten the call while eating breakfast...I'm sure they're still investigating
Danny:I don't get why...why did they target her and her family? They didn't do anything wrong...Ava didn't have any solo enemies like the others so why did they target her?
Peter:I don't know either, it's hard to believe that it was a break in. It looks more reasonable if the person was after Ava, her family might have been a struggle for them so they decided to shoot them there...but I could be wrong since Ava haven't woken up yet
Danny:...Ava's family were nice people when Luke and I visited, I never imagined them to...end up like this
Peter:(I...didn't realize that Danny would be more torn up about this than I am...does that make me an asshole? I just been thinking about myself and Danny other than Ava)
Me neither, although I haven't properly met them I can tell how much they mean to Ava even when she had to lie about her family, some good that did if people found out
*he spoke dryly with a faint smile and glances at Danny*
Danny:Do you think that Fury knows about this?
Peter:Probably, but he might not do much about it since Ava left the team
Danny:...do you think Ava woke up by now?
Peter:Hopefully, I haven't seen the others come out so probably not...
*he sees Danny beginning to fidget his thumbs, Peter grabs his hand that made Danny to stop and look at Peter with a small frown*
Peter:She's fine okay? You shouldn't worry so much, you're not the only one who is dealing with this. Sam, Luke, and Aunt May are at her side for her to wake up, they're all obviously stressed and worried for her...
Danny:And you...? How are you feeling about this?
Peter:(I...I didn't really expect he would ask me that. How am I feeling about this? I just been thinking about Danny and myself...)
I'm fine Danny, I've been through hospitals enough so...I'm used to this type of thing already
(I'm just glad I'm not unconscious alongside Ava, or Aunt May will for sure have a heart attack and worry even more)
Danny notices Peter tense up when he spoke while looking away from Danny's eyes. Peter looks back at him expecting a response so he forms a soft smile.
Peter:I can't act serious if you keep wearing those glasses...take them off please?
Danny:No, I look-
Peter:Jeez Danny, I'm sure you don't look bad. Will you remove them or do I have to kick you out of my room?
*he threatened with a cheerful smile towards Danny, he blushed while slowly nodding*
Peter watches Danny remove the black glasses revealing his red puffy eyes, Peter blinked. Danny turns away embarrassed.
Danny:I told you that I look bad, I wasn't feeling well on the way here and my driver had to make a couple stops
Peter:Were you throwing up on the way here?
Danny:I was...but it wasn't serious
Peter:(why would he be vomiting so much in the car? Did he had motion sickness since he's sick? This is a bit much for him...god I shouldn't have told him about Ava)
Danny...you look fine and you're obviously still handsome even though you just threw up a while ago
Danny could only be silent to his comment.
Peter:Although I like your looks, I wouldn't be disturbed by your red eyes from vomiting. I like you for other things than your looks
Danny:...Thanks Peter
Peter:(eh? That's it? I thought he would be a blushing mess, should I say more?)
Yeah...listen I-
Danny:I'm going to take a small walk Peter...if that's okay with you
Peter:(a walk? I guess he does need some fresh air)

*he smiled at him before he stood up and walked down the hallway, Peter threw his head back against the wall with an exhausted sigh*
Peter:God he's so quiet...

Peter faced forward when he heard Luke call his name, Sam and Aunt May was walking beside him from the hallway. Peter stood up and approached them.
Peter:Hey, did Ava wake up?
Sam:The nurse had to kick us out for her daily check up, not that you would care anything...
*he mumbled that last sentence as he walks past Peter to sit on one of the seats in the waiting room*
Peter:So she's not awake yet...
Aunt May:I'm sure she'll wake up...all we can do now is pray for her to wake up soon Peter
*she spoke in the most soothing tone while she holds Peter's hand, his lips trembled from seeing Aunt May's small forced smile*
Peter:I know Aunt May...
*he looks up to Luke who was standing in front of him*
Danny's here, said that his driver brought him
Luke:How is he feeling?
Peter:Worse than usual...thanks to me telling him about Ava
Luke:Why did you told him then?
Peter:I wasn't planning to but he was stubborn to know, and yet he's here after telling him to stay back home
Aunt May:Danny is here to support Ava, we can't force him to stay behind...
Luke:...she's right Peter, once she wakes up she'll want to see Danny and ask about him. Where is Danny anyway?
Peter:He went off to take a walk, he wanted some space
Luke:*he crosses his arms as he lets out a small scoff*
That's a surprise...
Peter rolled his eyes and turns to Aunt May who looked visibly confused.
Peter:Let's sit down Aunt May, I don't want you to get tired
Aunt May:Peter, I just sat in Ava's room...
Peter:I know, you should still rest
*he walked towards the chairs with Aunt May while Sam waited, Luke watches Peter walk into the waiting room and let out a sigh. He took out his phone from his pocket while he sat on a chair beside Sam*

Danny walks down the hallway with his hands in the pockets of the jacket he was wearing. He kept walking as the tiger's deep voice had called out to him from the amulet hidden under the collar of his jacket.
"Where do you think you're going Young Dragon?"
Danny:I'm taking a walk, why are you asking the obvious?
"Take me to my avatar! Now!"
Danny:Or what? Eat my soul? Did you gave that same threat with Ava before she gave you up?
"Take me to her now!"
This was giving Danny a headache.
He reaches his hand to grab the amulet but pulled back from the sudden sting that he gotten from it.
Danny:(why did it..?)
"Try to touch me and I'll burn your entire hand off"
Danny:(this damned-...nevermind, I'll just ignore it)
"Don't you dare try to ignore me!"
Danny ignored the nagging god. Then suddenly, he laid his side against the wall with heavy panting as he places his hand in his hip from a sharp pain.
"Keep ignoring me and I'll head towards your heart or brain next"
Danny:(how can a god like this one physically hurt me?)

He was walking towards Ava's hospital room while the pain was slowly fading away.
Danny, this stupid necklace. I can already imagine Ava's face when she sees the amulet. What should I say about it? Would this necklace even help her? Why should I believe the tiger that he'll help her anyway? Should I use my own chi to heal her? I can do it. I know I can but...won't that make Peter worry? It'll be fine right? I just need to help her wake up and maybe do something with the amulet
Danny arrived at Ava's patient room and rubs his arm with his sweaty hand. He was anxious to grab the door handle, he silently hoped that maybe Ava won't give a bad response from seeing the amulet...and about the news of her family. Danny stood straight with heavy breaths and finally grabbed the handle and opened the door. His head peaked inside and fully stepped inside when he sees Ava on the bed unconscious.
The door closes behind him before his hands forms a faint yellow glow. He reached his hands out towards Ava's hand but stops when he gotten interrupted by the bright green glow from the amulet. The tiger gave out their low voice with a small snarl.
"What are you doing?!"
Danny:...healing her instead of you doing it
"Foolish child! You gave all your chi up for me! How can you save her from very little chi in your body?! Did you forget that you have very little experience from this?!"
Danny:Can't I? I read the book
"The book that those people gave you...you have small knowledge of the abilities from your fists and you believe that you know how to heal this...child, just by reading a book? How idiotic are you?!"
Danny:Stop yelling into my ear...you're not the only one who thinks I'm stupid
"Idiot...if you want to heal her so bad then use me! Didn't you use up all your chi on me? Because of this, this will wake my avatar up"
Danny was quiet for a minute. The glow in his hands faded away and moved his hands away from Ava. He was hesitant but grabbed the black string from around his neck and took it off. Danny looks at the green amulet in his hand; asking himself if this is the right choice.
A hand tightly grabbed his wrist before Danny could place the necklace around Ava's neck.
He saw Ava awake and give him the most bug strucked eyes.
Ava:What...are you doing Rand?
*she asked with her husked voice, as she kept a tight grip on Danny's wrist that it began to shake*
Danny:Ava, you're awake...how are you feeling?
*he asked nervously wih a smile*
Ava:Why....why did you brought that thing here?
*her eyes trailed to the green amulet in his hand and Danny's lip trembled; trying to come up with a response. Ava growled as she grabs Danny's sweater while quickly sitting up*
Answer me! What made you think to bring that here?!
Danny shook when he listened to Ava's harsh tone. He looks away from her glare that just made Ava more furious. She pushed Danny to floor while she properly sat up, holding back groans of pain from her back.
Danny:Ava! Don't force yourself-
Ava:Shut up! I gave that thing up...I quit SHIELD, I told you to take it away from me and return it back to K'un L'un...
*she spoke with a low tone and her head hanging low*
Danny:Ava! Your amulet can help you-!
Ava:No it can't! When did that god ever help me?! All it did was make my life hell! It made my dad end his life! It...it's the...
*she began to choke through her words as her hands formed a fist on the white blanket. Danny stood up and reached to grab her hand to calm her down, but his hand was slapped away by Ava*
Danny:Ava...the god said he'll heal you, why won't you let it? I know that it only harmed you but just this once try to use it again
Ava:...it can heal?
*her tone changed. Danny nervously nodded while Ava formed tears in her eyes*
Then...can it heal my mom?
Danny:Ava...
Ava:Can it?! If the damned god said that it can heal me then it can heal my mom too right?!
Danny:...Ava, it can't heal your mom
Ava:W-why not? Can't a god heal anyone? I-it's been in your care and you must have done something to it to make it heal someone right? It wasn't like this before...it mustn't be a problem for you right?
Ava's voice was shaking. She began to rub her hands anxiously for a response from Danny's nervous expression. She began to hope that maybe her family survived and is in still unconscious in the hospital. A sense of hope was flowing in her veins but it began to slowly drain away when Danny spoke.
Danny:Ava, I'm sorry but...your family didn't survive the incident
Ava:...what?
*her heart was speeding in her chest with cold sweat dripping down her face, she could already feel tears starting to form and her voice becoming shaky along with her breaths*
W-what about my brother? My aunt? ...my grandma?
Danny:They didn't survive...
Ava:...my...mom? Is she...also...
*her skin went pale when Danny nodded. Her family was killed...she thought they were fighting through to live. Her mind was becoming foggy and couldn't listen to Danny speaking to her*
Why...? I don't believe you...
Her voice shaken as tears ran down her cheeks and landed on the bedsheets.
Ava:My mom didn't die! I don't believe you! You're lying! She wouldn't leave me alone...she wouldn't!
She had a lump in her throat when she yelled. Danny could only remain quiet and look away, he doesn't know how to help her in this type of situation.
Danny:Ava...the amulet can heal you. Take it
Ava was filled with hope again. If the amuet can heal her then it could be able to heal her family and her mom. She wouldn't be alone anymore. She instantly grabs the amulet from Danny's hand and tightly grabbed it with her trembling arm.
Ava:Heal my mom tiger! You can do that right? You can heal anything can you?! Just bring my mom back, why worry about me when I'm still living?
*she asks towards the amulet sounding hopeful but the amulet only answered with silence*
Why won't you say anything? You can heal my mom even when she's...
*she couldn't finish her sentence and her face drained when she still wasn't getting a response*
Danny reached his hand out to grab her hand as Ava's lip began to tremble from muffled sobs, she lowered her head to the amulet as her sob began to grow louder. Danny was silent and drew his hand back when Ava let out a wail with uncontrollable tears. Her shoulders shook as her wail became louder that was filling up the entire room.
Ava:Useless...why are you so USELESS?!
Out of pure anger she threw the amulet against the wall in front of her, Danny's expression grew white when it shattered into pieces and landed on the floor. Ava was red as Danny hurriedly crawled towards it to pick up the pieces; but the pieces reattached each other. It formed back to it's normal shape into the necklace.
Danny's face had quickly changed to relief while Ava's face turned the opposite. He heard a thump from behind and quickly noticed Ava on the floor. She crawled out of bed and was now crawling towards the amulet in rage. Ava pushes Danny away from the amulet and she grabs it; face full of tears.
Ava:Why?! WHY. WON'T. YOU. BREAK
She smashed the amulet against the floor between every word. It broke again but quickly repaired itself. This was driving Ava insane. She even began to let out laughs that sounded like whimpers.
Ava:You...you're worthless to me...WHY? Why did you even came Danny...? Are you still here to take pity...?
Danny:Ava, I just came for you to get properly healed by the amulet
Ava:I DON'T NEED TO BE HEALED! All I ask from the amulet is to bring back my mom! If it can't do something as simple as that...then why won't you do it...
Danny:What? What are you saying?
Ava:You can heal too right?!
*she quickly asked as she snapped her head towards him*
Danny:I'm...learning
Ava:But you can do it!
Danny:...my hands aren't working well at the moment so I can't do it...I can't bring someone from the dead, that's impossible
Ava:No...it's not! You're THE Iron Fist! You can do anything with your power! Just bring back my mami and my family! We're friends aren't we?! Can't you do that for me at least...?
*she spoke while crawling towards him with widened eyes*
She waited for a response as she clenched her hand into her chest but Danny shook his head. She let out a small scoff as tears came out. Then she swung her hand past Danny's cheek, Danny was dumbstruck. Ava slapped him.
Ava:You're...joking aren't you? You defeated a dragon, you came to New York and gotten your company back, you healed your dumb boyfriend's wounds...and yet you can't...bring back my mom or anyone else? Useless...you're so cool and you can't do that simple task! WHY! Why should I even call you a friend if you can't bring my mom back?!
Danny kept quiet. He was trembling as he rubs his cheek.
Ava:You're terrible...you're the worst person...you can't even help me bring my mom back
*her words were drowned in tears as her shoulders shook*
She had her legs up against her chest as she sobbed. Danny could only glance at her and look down with an ache in his stomach. He slightly jumped when Ava furiously threw the amulet past Danny and hit against the wall; making it shatter and repair again.
Ava:Leave...I don't need you here
Danny:Ava I'm sorr-
Ava:I SAID LEAVE! I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE YOU! If you want to help then heal my mom first! Or better yet, heal that dumbass who you sleep with every night after a small bullet in his shoulder! GO LEAVE!
She bawled at Danny as she punches the floor. She kept wailing for him to leave with more punches on the floor, sounding like she was pleading with tears constantly rolling down her face.
Ava:Leave...please...I don't want you see you...I just want my mom back...quiero mi mami...
*she sobbed like a child would as Danny slowly stood up*
He stepped forward to help Ava up but hesitanted from being yelled at and hit again. He walked towards the door and stood a second from hearing Ava's loud sobbing. He stepped out and closed the door yet he can still hear her cries. Danny slowly walked down the hallway and wipes his eyes, he didn't realized that his eyes were becoming to water. He glanced at his hands.
Danny, I helped her didn't I? I gave her the amulet like the dumb god asked me to, telling me that it can help her and heal her...but she doesn't want the help. Am I that worthless? I must be since I can't even properly summon the fist long enough...and it's even harder for me to do so thanks to the god for telling me that I needed to give them my chi. Now Peter's worried about me, Ava is mad at me...Mac won't be able to help me if I tell him what I did with the amulet. Who can I even ask for help about this in this situation...? Forget it, it's my problem. No one else's. It's my fist and my responsibility. I have to deal with this myself. Maybe I haven't read enough about using my chi to relive someone. I can do it. I shouldn't complain about this.
Peter sat anxiously in the lobby chair with his finger tapping the bar, Sam would give him a glance and roll his eyes. Peter quickly stood up when he sees Danny walking out of hall.
Peter:Danny! What took you so long?
*he ran towards him that caught the attention from the other three. Sam let out an annoyed groan as he placed his head back against the wall*
Danny:Hey...I just got a bit lost and...
*his words trailed off as he turns his head away so Peter wouldn't see the faint mark on his cheek*
Peter:What? What's wrong?
Danny:Nothing...I just want to go home already
Peter:...did you visit Ava? It seems like the most obvious choice of why you would take long, how is she?
Danny looks at the curious group past Peter. Then he spoke.
Danny:I did, it's better to not bother her in the meantime
Peter:(so Ava is awake, did he tell her about her family? Great...I shouldn't blame him since I didn't told him to not tell her. Where's the amulet? Wasn't he wearing it before he left?)
Danny, the amulet. Where is it?
Danny didn't give a response as he kept looking past Peter. Peter turns around and arkwardly smiled towards the staring group.
Peter:We'll be having a talk...
*he grabs Danny's wrist and drags him away to the other side of the lobby near the windows*
Danny:Peter
Peter:Don't. I'll be talking first...sit down
Danny:But-
Peter:I can't scold you properly if you don't sit down
Danny could only answer silently by sitting on the chair behind him. Peter sat in front of him with his arms crossed; giving him a grave expression.
Peter:The amulet. Where is it? You had it with you and now it's gone
Danny:I gave it back to Ava
*he mumbled with his eyes glancing away from Peter who had rubbed the corner of his eyes with an exaggerated sigh*
Peter:Okay...why? You know that Ava gave it up along with the entire costume, why give it back to her?
Danny:The amulet says that it can heal her...it can heal their owner
Peter:Okay okay, what? The amulet told you? But how did-...nevermind nevermind...
*he slid his hand through his hair and he spoke again*
So the amulet told you that it can heal Ava. Then why was it destroying her body in the first place? Is it like a parasite?
Danny:Somewhat it is. It was taking her energy which made her addictive without it...the amulet wanted power of her body but she wouldn't allow it
Peter:Not surprised there. So how did the amulet get it's power when Ava wasn't using it?
Danny:I was...transferring my chi to the amulet
Peter:...what? Sorry but what the hell? How did you even manage to move your chi into a piece of rock? And also, how come you were even able to move it if you can't even form your iron fist?!
Danny:Peter...don't yell, the others might hear you
Peter:How can I not yell?! You've been doing this for how long now? Ever since Ava gave you that thing?
Danny:It's only been a few days...and a few times a day
Peter:Danny, why would you agree to move your chi in the necklace? Just to help Ava?
Danny:Yes...that's what it told me
Peter:Okay I get it. You want to help Ava but have you ever thought about yourself? You can barely summon your fist for more than a few seconds and yet you're doing this...is that why you quickly got sick?
Danny:...yeah, sorry Peter
Peter:Nope. Sorry isn't going to cut it Danny...I just...I can't believe you would even hide that big of a secret from me in the first place
Danny:I didn't want you to worry, like how you are now
Peter:Why shouldn't I worry? I don't want you to get worse because of a piece of shit in your hometown and end up in the hospital like Ava!
Danny:Did you think I wanted to give up my chi like that Peter? I wanted to help Ava after she asked me to
Peter:Really? Are you sure you didn't felt forced to help her?

Danny:I'm sorry Peter, but I still need to help Ava...even if it might ruin my health and can't form the fist again
Peter:(great, how stubborn is he? Who would even risk their life just to hep the other? Doesn't he atleast care about what I think of this and how I feel?)

*he rubs his face with his hand with his body crouched forward with his elbows on his knees*
We'll talk at home. I'm just...a bit tired right now
Danny slowly nods as he stood up from the chair. His hand pats on Peter's head as he spoke.
Danny:I'll be heading home now love, my driver is waiting...
*he whispered*
Peter didn't raise his head up to watch Danny leave but felt his hand slide off his head and hear the door creak behind him. Until till then he tilted his head to the closed door and let out a low sigh.
Peter, I'm tired. I'm tired of having to use up my energy just for being worried of a rich kid who happens to be my boyfriend. Why does he want to help Ava so badly? He must feel forced to do it. But...it doesn't sound like he's being forced. Why would he risk his life just to help?...I really don't get it
