I sat on the bed and crossed my arms as I watched them walk around.
"Stop walking around. You're making me dizzy"
Matteo sighed and layed down on the bed.
I looked at him and squinted my eyes.
"What's wrong"
"Nothing"
"Yo-"
I was about to say something when I heard the thunder rumble.
I stood up and looked out the window to see that it's really pouring down there.
I could barely see anything which made me worried.
"You think Hazel and Cora are safe?"
I haven't been able to contact them since they left.
They're out of my link's range.
I wish my link was like Romeo's and Matteo's.
They could contact any one from a really large distance.
Ugh
"Don't worry, they're fine"
Romeo came and hugged me from behind.
"I wouldn't have sent them there if I knew they were gonna get hurt."
I nodded and kept on looking out.
I should've talked to them before they left.
Now I miss them so bad.
Romeo kissed me on my cheek and I looked at him with a smile.
"Romeo?"
"Hmm..."
"I'm hungry"
"...."
He turned me around and put his hand on my forehead.
"Are you sick or something? You're always hungry"
I scoffed and crossed my arms.
"Where do you get your knowledge from?"
"Mostly books."
"I see...."
They probably haven't read any pregnancy books or even taken care of a pregnant woman before.
I don't blame them for being this slow.
"I'm not sick. I'm just hungry"
"Fine, what do you want to eat"
"Food"
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm himself then opened them and looked at me.
"What kind of food?"
"The edible type"
He let me go and walked away which earned a giggle from me.
"You see why I say women are hard to deal with"
Matteo mumbled which made me turn to him.
"Can you repeat that for me again? Please"
"You see wh-"
"You seem to be enjoying yourself everytime I beat you up"
"Yes, it feels me with sooo much joy"
He sarcastically said and sat up.
"Come here"
"No..."
I crossed my arms and glared at him.
"Fine I'm sorry. Now come"
He stood up and walked over to me.
"You know I was just playing with you"
"I don't like your jokes."
"Then I'll stop telling them"
He kissed my cheek and walked over to the dresser.
"What are you doing?"
He grabbed my jacket and walked over to me.
"Put this on. It's cold"
"Ohh, I thought you were gonna let me freeze to death"
"I thought about it but I can't do that. I care too much about you to do so"
"You thought about it?"
"So you just gonna ignore the part where I said I care about you?"
He helped me put the jacket on and I scoffed.
"I really hate you, y'know"
"What did I do now?"
"No, I just wanted to let you know"
"Okay, thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to say so"
"You're welcome"
Romeo came back with a bowl of ramen and I smiled.
"Here's your edible food"
"Oh, thank you but I'm no more hungry"
Romeo's smile faded and he put the tray down.
"You make me so mad sometimes"
I frowned as tears began to form in my eyes.
"I really hate both of you"
"Don't worry, she'll get over it"
Matteo sat down with a smirk.
I looked at Romeo and he sighed then walked over to the other side of the room.
I followed him and grabbed his hand then pouted.
"Okay, I'll eat. Just don't be mad"
He patted my head and smiled.
"I knew you would"
I smiled and hugged him.
"Matteo, touch my food. I dare you"
I didn't have to turn around to know he's lurking around it.
I heard him sigh.
"I feel like you like him more than me"
"Of course I do. He's sophisticated, you're you"
I looked at Romeo and smiled which made him smile and flick my forehead.
He let me go and I turned around then grabbed my food and sat on the bed.
"You're being too angry with me these days. What's the matter?"
Matteo sat down with me and I looked at him.
"I am? I never realized"
"Are you actually sick or something?"
He put his hand on my forehead to check my temperature.
"Fine, what kind of sickness do you think that affects my mood swings"
"Hold on. My mother used to do something like this"
I turned to Romeo and looked at him in curiosity.
"Your mother?"
"Mmhmm, when we were little she would always snap at my dad for no reason at all which turned him into a nervous mess"
"When you were little?"
"Mmhmm, we were about 6 at that time. Right?"
Matteo chuckled as if he remembered something.
"Yeah, we would always ask her why she was so angry and she would always respond with your father made me like this so if you want to blame anybody, then blame him and then she would just walk away."
Both of them laughed after Romeo said that.
I could see the pain in their eyes as they remembered their mother.
I could see how much they missed her.
How much they cared for her and it made me sad to realise that they grew up without one.
"I wish I could've met her"
They both turned their attention to me and chuckled.
"She definitely would've loved you"
"How you know?"
"I mean. You're the ideal daughter in-law for her. Don't you think so?"
I giggled and looked down at my food.
"I guess"
I squinted my face as I felt my stomach churn just at the sight of the food.
It smelt nasty and all I wanted to do was throw up yet I didn't want Romeo to be angry.
I held my breath and ate my first bite and yup it was sour as shit.
The food itself isn't nasty but it's just my stupid hormones that are getting in the way.
As I was about to take a second bite, I felt someone lift my head up and I looked up to see it was Romeo.
He cupped my face and smiled.
"You don't have to force yourself to eat if you don't want to"
I raised my brows and he nodded.
"I'm not gonna get mad over something so trivial"
I sighed in relief and looked down.
Well in that case....
I stood up and ran to the bathroom then opened the toilet seat and emptied all the contents in my stomach.
I felt someone grab my hair and I slightly looked to see it's Matteo.
He gave me a reassuring smile and started patting my back.
"I'll go get the pack doctor"
Romeo ran out of the room then I stood up and flushed the toilet.
I walked over to the sink with Matteo supporting me and then I quickly rinsed my mouth and brushed my teeth.
After that he guided me back to the room and I sat on the bed.
"It's just you and I here so tell me something"
I nervously gulped as I saw the seriousness om his face.
"What do you want to know?"
"Was the food that bad?"
Yes, actually I was looking for a chance to tell both of you but- wait what did you say?"
"So it was, huh"
"Actu-"
The door opened and Romeo came in with the pack doctor.
She put her bag on the floor and came to check my pulse.
Matteo stood beside Romeo and crossed his arms.
"What's your deal? Do you want to poison her or something"
"Shut up"
He was acting tough but I could see the fear I'm his eyes as he waited for the pack doctor to say something.
"It doesn't have anything to do with the food that Alpha Romeo made. It's just her hormones acting up"
The doctor took out her stethoscope and started checking my heartbeat.
"Her hormones acting up?"
I tried to signal her to stop talking but she wasn't even noticing.
"Yeah during pregnancy it's common for women to experience pregnancy hormones and chan-"
"Hold on. Wait wait wait, repeat what you just said"
She looked at me and I shook my head then bit my lip.
Her eyes widened and she clamped her mouth shut.
"I'm so sorry"
"You're good. You're good. Let me do the rest"
I looked at them and nervously smiled.
"Surprise!!"
