Present time...
"And you broke my Nini's shoulders!" Chaeyoung yelled drunkenly at Irene.
"It wasn't that hard!" Irene said and tried to pull Chaeyoung to sit because the younger girl can't stay still.
Irene knows that Chaeyoung already had her limit. The girl would laugh then cry all of a sudden. She too is defending herself from an incident that happened years ago. The one when she broke Jennie's shoulders during soccer practice.
"It was! I was cwying and Nini, she... she's cwying also and I got mad at chu!" Chaeyoung slurred her words.
"And that's the day you told me that you don't want to see me anymore. When we were at the hospital" Irene said sadly remembering that painful day.
"Because you were bad" Chaeyoung said and took a shot.
"I'm sorry" Irene said seriously.
"I got scared. Very scared of you" Chaeyoung said and created a big gap with her arms.
"Sorry" Irene cannot say anything more than that she's sorry.
Maybe the alcohol is already kicking in. The feeling of guilt is coming back to her like a childhood nightmare. If one knew Irene too well, they cannot deny why she fell in love with this drunken girl. She's adorable as she is even when sober. Just enough to melt a frozen heart. Chaeyoung made her feel like a normal person, she's the only girl who managed to melt her cold façade.
Chaeyoung was so kind and pure.
'I don't understand why they call you a cold goddess You are so warm Irene Unnie. I like you'
Chaeyoung's words 8 years ago were still written inside her heart.
"I was scared that you'll take me away from Jennie. I don't want that" Chaeyoung said that pulled her back into the reality.
Chaeyoung drinks another shot and she was crying already like a kid. Irene tried to comfort Chaeyoung; the poor girl is already sobbing. Her head was slumped on the bar counter where they sat.
"She's going to propose to her girlfriend. And you're getting married. And Lisa's got a girl and meeeh? I'm-"
"Drunk. You're drunk, Chaeyoung" someone said.
"who said that?! Who keeps saying that I'm drunk? I'm Wosie! I'm not drunk!" Chaeyoung whined.
"because you are" Irene said and gestured Lisa not to interfere.
"am not! I still know you! You are Irene Bae Joohyun, that bitch from high school" Chaeyoung announced to the whole bar.
Everybody froze because of that sudden announcement. Gasps and whispers everywhere.
"Damn..." Joy said as she's forcing herself not to laugh at her cousin.
"Who's that girl?" Wendy, Irene's fiancée asked.
"Someone that almost became my cousin-in-law" Joy answered.
"Hyunnie's ex?" Wendy asked.
"Nah. that's her first love" Joy said casually.
"What?! That's it I'm-" Wendy didn't even finished what she was about to say when Joy pulled her to stay.
"Let's just enjoy the little show, Unnie" Joy said evilly and Wendy didn't even know why she's about to be a part of their family.
Like what Joy said, everybody that's inside the pub is already watching the two ladies in the bar counter.
"Thank you. but I prefer the cold goddess" Irene said cringing at her high school nickname.
"Nuu~ evil brat would be a perfect fit" Chaeyoung slurred and Irene just smiled
It's a mystery that the Bae Joohyun is enjoying this kind of slander in her character and the most baffling part is, she's comfortable talking to this drunk girl. Their conversation goes from reminiscing the past up to insulting each other and some drunken and nonsensical topics.
"Yeah and you're that innocent tall goddess" Irene said.
"And you tainted me!" Chaeyoung pointed her accusing finger to Irene which the Bae just laugh.
"I did not! Jennie was always there to cockblock us" Irene said while laughing.
"Ewwww. you don't have that" Chaeyoung said.
"I do sometimes. Ask Wendy" Irene said laughing.
Her friends at the pub is already making some gagging noise, Joy is disgusted to have a cousin like her and the mentioned Wendy is already red from blushing and is hiding behind Joy.
"Who's Wendy?" Chaeyoung asked.
"My fiancée" Irene answered.
"Yah! I remember! I told you I want to meet this fiancée of yours and ask her if she's sure that she's going to marry you" Chaeyoung said.
"Woah, you remembered that?" Irene asked.
"Yeah I remembered EVERYTHING! every single thing and it make my heart hurts" Chaeyoung sobbed again and slumped on her seat.
"Chaeyoung, I don't think you are still talking about me" Irene said.
"I remember every detail Unnie and she doesn't. Why did I fell in love with her? Why did I fell in love with Jennie?" Chaeyoung cried.
It's like everything inside Chaeyoung is slowly coming out, uncontrollably.
"I don't see why not. You've been together since god knows when. You were each other's half and it's frustrating enough that I once lost you to someone as coward as her" Irene said and it made everyone gasps.
"It hurts! here (*points to her heart). It feels like someone's ripping out my heart. Why am I such a coward? Why am I so stupid? I fell in love with my best friend!" Chaeyoung shouted.
Suddenly a very strong force pulled Chaeyoung up from her seat. Chaeyoung felt dizzy with the sudden movement while Irene stayed unfazed.
"Rosie, you're drunk, let's go"
"You shouldn't have brought her here if you're going to hurt her again" Irene said.
"I told you that it was never your business, Irene"
"Chaeyoung will always have a special place in my heart whether you like it or not, Jennie" Irene said calmly.
Chaeyoung, on the other hand doesn't know if it's the alcohol or the smell of the woman who pulled her that made her feel intoxicated.

The woman's strong arm is wrapped around her waist. She forced her droopy eyes and hazy consciousness to look at her.
"Nini..." she whispered.
It was a moment of silence inside the pub. Everybody is waiting for what's going to happen. It was no doubt that Chaeyoung is going to be a sensational guest no one could ever forget. And the next turn of events is enough proof for that.
"Hey boss... what's happeni-" Nayeon couldn't continue when she saw Jennie with a girl safely wrapped around her arms.
Joy just looked at her and put her arms around Nayeon's shoulders and gave her friend a comfortable nudge. Then they watched the scene unfolds in front of them. Nayeon isn't sure if it was a smart move to take the chopper on their way back because she has a feeling that after this night everything will never be the same.
"You can't be Jennie right?" Chaeyoung asked.
But no one answered. Not even a sigh.
"Because Jennie is with Nayeon... but still, you look like the girl I fell in love with. You look like Jennie Kim" Chaeyoung said.
Jennie felt numb at the moment, there are two reasons; Chaeyoung remembered Nayeon's name even in her drunk state and the second one...no.
It's impossible.
"Let's go home" Jennie said and grabbed Chaeyoung's wrist so they can get out of there. people are staring and they are getting too much attention.
That's the least that she wanted to happen, for them to garner attention, for Chaeyoung, a sport celebrity to be spotted in a private place. Jennie knows that Reveland has a tight security and doesn't easily penetrated by media people but still, people have smartphones now, any media is still media.
However, Chaeyoung remained stoned on her spot. With her head down, her heart bravely let out every secret it holds.
"Don't propose to Nayeon. Please... Jennie. Please..." Chaeyoung said while sobbing.
Jennie is confused. She dares not to look at the tall girl in the middle of the pub, instead she looks for Nayeon amidst of the crowd. Seconds turned into minutes, but still no one tries to breathe a single word.
"I'll be selfish again. I want you. I need you. I want to marry you. I'll give up everything for you Jen Please... just please, choose me. Please I don't want to lose you. Jennie please... I love you. Don't leave me..." Chaeyoung begged.
"Come on. You're just drunk Rosie I'll take you home now" Jennie calmly said.
However, nobody knows how bad her knees tremble while she walks through the crowd pulling Chaeyoung behind her. Nobody heard how loud her heartbeat was while Chaeyoung was drunkenly confessing to her. And Nobody knows how she's handling the pain knowing that she hurt the only girl that owns her heart since they were kids.
