I don't want to ruin the experience of the game to anyone.
Shuichi had an issue.
It was Kokichi, honestly.
During the conversation last night, Shuichi could only recall a few major things.
Kokichi is his soulmate.
Kokichi likes Shuichi.
And depending on Shuichi's words and actions, it could be good or bad luck for Kokichi.
Lets run down the list.
Kokichi likes Shuichi.
After thinking about it, over and over, Shuichi could confirm, he didn't feel the same about Kokichi.
What was Kokichi to him?
Life.
Death.
A mix of both.
Kokichi knows what to say and do to get what he needs, to make people understand.
Kokichi could be helpful, Shuichi would admit that, but most of the time, Kokichi was too smart for his own good.
All he could picture Kokichi with, was the killing game.
Half the time, it seemed Kokichi was leading the trails.
Kokichi knew what was happening before anyone else.
Kokichi probably looked at the evidence and knew who the culprit was immediately.
For example, trail two, Kokichi knew who had which motive video.
Kokichi was at fault for Ryoma finding out his motive video.
And if Kokichi said, 'I didn't watch any of the motive videos' but knew what Maki's talent was truly, Shuichi had to have assumed Kokichi did watch the motive videos.
He had to have.
Kokichi seemed to know it was Kirumi from the start.
Kokichi seemed to know during trail three, it was Korekiyo.
Something about some of the things Kokichi said, made it seem like he knew.
Trail four, Kokichi was behind it.
Kokichi worked behind the whole thing and knew.
By the time trail five came, Kokichi most likely knew everyone, inside, outside, sideways, and in any form possible. He probably knew their thoughts before they thought it. Kokichi was behind it.
Kokichi killed himself.
Kokichi was so...
Stupid...
Shuichi had to shake his head to get that thought away.

Shuichi didn't want to believe that, truly.
It seemed weird to say.
Him and Kokichi got into arguments, and Shuichi was sure their personalities could clash and fuck against each other and not work.
Who was behind the soulmate thing?
There had to be a mistake behind it..
Why was Shuichi over thinking it?
Why did Shuichi not want to believe it?
Maybe....
Maybe Shuichi regretted what he did to Kokichi.
What he considered Kokichi.
How everyone blamed Kokichi.
Pushed down Kokichi.
Maybe Shuichi regretted it.
And maybe Shuichi didn't want to apologize, but instead attempt to forget it.

The reason why Shuichi had to bite his tongue before pouring out his feelings to Kokichi.
What Shuichi does and says, affects Kokichi.
What did that mean?
Whatever it meant, Shuichi was going to figure it out.
And maybe, maybe Shuichi could like Kokichi how Kokichi likes Shuichi.
Or...
If worst comes to worst....
He could always lie.
