At the rooftop...
"All right, why don't you introduce yourselves?" Kakashi sensei asked in his usual laid back tone.
"Introduce ourselves? Well, what are we supposed to say?" Sakura questioned back.
You see, my team and I were told to meet up on the rooftop after the pranking incident. Currently, our sensei "wants" to get to know each of us. Our seating arrangement is in diamond form. From Sasuke in the back, Sakura on the left, Naruto on the right, and me down in front. Our sensei is sitting on the railing.
'Isn't that not safe? Nah.'
"Things you like, things you hate, dreams for the future, hobbies. Things like that." He shrugs.
"Why don't you tell us stuff first? I mean, before we talk, tell us about you so we can see how it's supposed to work." Naru pointed out.
"Me?" Mr. Kaka points at himself. "I'm Kakashi Hatake. Things I like and things I hate... I don't feel like telling you that. My dreams for the future... I've never really thought about it. As for my hobbies... I have lots of hobbies." He answered vaguely.
I half smiled towards his response, typical coming from him.
I heard Sakura telling us, "That was totally useless, all he really told us is his name." with Naru agreeing with her.
"Okay, your turn. You on the right, you first."
I turn around to look at Naru and he began to fiddle with his headband.
"Believe it! I'm Naruto Uzumaki, I like instant ramen in a cup, I really like the ramen Iruka Sensei got me at the Ichiraku's noodle shop, and I also like to hang out with my best friend n/n chan. But I hate the three minutes you have to wait after you pour the water in the ramen cup. My hobby is eating different kinds of ramen and comparing them. And my future dream is... to be the greatest Hokage! Then the whole village will stop disrespecting me and start treating me like I'm somebody, somebody important!" I blushed a bit when he mentioned my name in his introduction.
Apparently, I didn't notice Duckbutt and Mr. Kaka looking at Naru with a hint of jealousy.
"All right, next." He referred to Bubblegum.
"I'm Sakura Haruno. What I like, uh, I mean the person I like is... *Giggles* Uh, my hobby is, uh... *More giggles* Uh, my hobby is... *Even more giggles* My dream for the future is... *This time squeals*"
"And, what do you hate?"
"Naruto!" She answered with no regret.
Naru did not take this very lightly and had tears running down from his face.
I frown as I turn my head towards her. "Hey, come on PB that's uncalled for."
"PB?"
"Princess Bubblegum of course." I answered with a smirk.
She just frowns at me in annoyance and turns her head with a hmph.
"You, in the back."
"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan, and destroy a certain someone." He finished off with a dark tone.
Everyone got quiet after that and the atmosphere felt heavy from how serious he was.
'Geez, he just loves to suck the joy out of everyone huh?'
Soon, we resume back to the introductions when Mr. Kaka points to me.
"Last one."
Kakashi's POV
I gaze towards the last student waiting for her to start.
"Yellow hello, my name is f/n l/n. What I like is playing my ukulele, eating sweets, hanging out with my friends and (your likes). My hobby is singing, cooking, reading and (your hobby). What I hate are people who judge others without getting to know them and (your hate). Finally, my dream for the future is to be the best kunoichi there is and to be the greatest friend to everyone." She ended with a cute smile, lightening up the mood a little.
Everyone stares at her in mixed emotions. One, slightly ashamed, the other two curious with hints of blush on their cheeks. I can feel my cheeks flushing red, it's a good thing my mask is on, but I can't help but scrutinize the two boys secretly.
'What am I doing?! She's a kid, and I am an adult. I should not be feeling this way towards her. But, she is different. Can't wait to test her skills tomorrow.'
"Good, you're each unique and you have your own ideas. You'll have our first mission tomorrow."
"What kind of mission are we going to have?" Naruto asked me.
"It's a task that the five of us will do together."
"What, what, what, what, what?!"
"A survival exercise." I revealed.
"Huh?! Survival exercise?!"
"I thought we were supposed to have a real mission. Not more practice." This time Sakura stated. "We already did this stuff at the academy, that's how we got here."
"This is not like your previous training."
"So uh, what kind of training is it then?"
I started to laugh which confuses everyone except one. I take a peek at y/n seeing she is very neutral about it.
"Hey, hold on. That's a normal question. What's so funny?"
"Well, if I tell you the answer, you're not going to like it~"
"Huh?"
"Of the 27 graduates who just came here. Only nine will actually be accepted as Genin. The other eighteen will be weeded out and sent back to the academy. In other words, this is a make it or break it pass/fail test. And the chance that you'll fail is at least 66%." I explained.
Just as I expected, three of them have a shock look on their faces. Y/n's is still neutral about the whole ordeal.
'Hm...' I raise my brow. "See? Didn't I tell you, you wouldn't like it?"
"That's crazy! We worked hard to get here, believe it! What was that graduation test for anyway?!" Naruto yelled out.
"Oh that. That was just to select the candidates who might become Genin, or not."
"Whaaat?!"
"That's how it is. I decide whether you pass or fail. Be at the designated spot at 5 A.M. and bring your ninja gear." I instructed them. I stand up on the railing and turn around. "That's it, you're dismissed. Oh, tomorrow you better skip breakfast, or else you'll puke." I said as I looked over my shoulder to see their reactions.
Y/n doesn't seem scared or angry at all. She got me even more interested until I saw her e/c eyes start glowing f/c.
Then, she lifts her head and starts to sing. My eye widen at this, Lord Hokage did informed me of this power.

As soon as I gain my control back, I blink my eyes a couple of times and see everyone staring at me with their eyes wide open, in complete shock. I blush in embarrassment, wanting to be invisible right now.
'Awe great! Now everyone will think I'm a weirdo or get scared of me!'
"Um, s-sorry about t-that. I w-will see you all t-tomorrow." I hurriedly said.
Before anyone tries to stop me, I decided to teleport away from here. With a hand sign, I use the body flicker technique which releases a lot of smoke. After the smoke cleared, I disappeared without another trace.
Time-skip
At the apartment...
"I can't believe I just did that!" I grab onto my head and shake it back and forth. "Some first impression, he must be hating me right now." I had tears running down from my eyes as I bow my head sadly.
I know what that song meant, Kakashi lied to us about not eating and showing up on time. I head to my bedroom and fall face first on my bed. Then, I grab my pillow and slam it on my face and scream.
Until I heard someone knock on my front door. I quietly climb out of my bed and tiptoe down the hall towards my door. I waited and listened to see who it was first.
"N/n chan! It's me!" Naru said loudly from the other side.
I stayed quiet, hoping he would go away.
"I know you're in there!"
'Dang it!'
Then, I cup my hands against my mouth.
I try to do an impression of a voice mail, "N/n chan is not here. If you would like to leave a message, answer after the beep. BEEEP!"
"Oh okay, well I- Hey wait a minute! N/n chan open up!" He bangs on the door more frantically. "Look I am not here about your singing session, I just want to know if you're okay. So please open up!" He begged.
"...Are you by yourself?" I asked him.
"Yes."
I slowly open my door, and once it's open, Naru comes rushing in and hugs me tightly. My e/c eyes widen in surprise before I wrap my arms around his waist.
"I'm so glad you're okay." He said in relief.
I can feel my e/c eyes glisten with joyful tears, happy to have a friend like him.
He pulls back and gives me a close eyed grin. "Come on, how about we get some ramen? My treat!"
I laugh a little and nodded. Then, he grabs my hand and takes me to Ichiraku's for a friendly hangout. Just jokes and laughs, having a great time. Not remembering the incident from a few hours ago.
The next day around 5 A.M...
Last night, I set my alarm to 9 a.m. because knowing Sensei, he is always fashionably late. Besides, I don't want to miss my beauty sleep. I snored with my mouth wide open until I heard someone knocking.
"N/n chan, wake up! Or we'll be late!" Naru said groggily.
I just groan and cover my head with my pillow. Naru kept on knocking on my door for five minutes until he gave up.
"Fine, just don't blame me when you miss the training!" With that, he stomps loudly away.
"Finally!" I take off my pillow and hug it while sleeping.
4 hours later...
*Riiiiiing*
I blink my dry e/c eyes open and slam my alarm clock off.
*Yawns* "Well, I have to get ready before Mr. Kaka shows up."
With that, I got out of bed and did my usual routine. I then cooked up some breakfast, ignoring his "warning." Like I will skip something that gives me sanity, he's crazy. After I ate my breakfast of French toast, I grabbed my ukulele and my weapon pouch as I headed out the door. I lock my door, and I begin to leap on different rooftops to get to the training grounds faster. I finally arrived seeing Naru sleeping, Sakura sitting, and Sasuke standing.
When they hear me arriving, Naru and PB stand up yelling, "You're late!" Sasuke did not say anything but glare at me.
I shrug, "Technically I'm not since he's not here yet."
They all just squint their eyes at me, I'm surprised no one asked me about yesterday and a good thing too. I walked towards a tree and climbed up to the top branch. As I reach the top, I lean against the bark and waited. Since we will be waiting for another hour, I unstrap my ukulele and jam out for a bit. I notice that everybody's moods have gone even more sour as they waited so I thought of playing a song that will light up their spirits and pass the time.
"Ooooh ooooh

Way up high"
I saw my teammates turn their heads towards me when they hear me playing. They walk towards my tree to listen to my song better. Naru lay on his stomach with his fists under his chin and feet in the air. Sakura sits down and hugs her knees. Sasuke just leans his back against the trunk with his arms crossed.

As I continued my song, we all didn't notice a certain someone watching us nearby.

Then, I feel my chakra spreading out and sprinkling on top of them making them even more calm.
3rd POV
Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke look up at y/n's f/c chakra in astonishment.
Sakura lifts up her hand to try to touch some. When it does, it melts and fades away like a fragile snowflake.
Some landed on Naruto's hair which made him laugh quietly.
One landed on Sasuke's nose, but for some reason, he did not make any sudden movement of brushing it away.
Kakashi, who is nearby, watches in amazement.
'What extraordinary power she has.'
He chuckles and sees some floating his way. He smiles warmly when they land on his finger tip. He can feel how warm and delicate her chakra is, just like her.
"Someday I'll wish upon a star

Your POV
On the last note, everyone is at peace, until Mr. Tardy over there shows up all of a sudden.
"Morning everyone. Ready for your first day?"
"Hey you're late!" They repeated.
"Well a black cat crossed my path, so I had to take the long way." He pointed behind him.
I roll my eyes with a smile and chuckle finding it humorous. I heard Naru growling in anger.
"Also, nice performance y/n. You weren't kidding about your singing." He complimented me.
I blush bashfully and shyly said thank you to him. I didn't see Mr. Kaka smirking at my blush along with Naru and Duckbutt glaring at him. I put my ukulele on my back and stand up on the branch.
Naru speaks up first in a worried tone. "N/n chan! What are you doing?!"
"I'm gonna jump, isn't it obvious?" I asked him.
"Y/n you're gonna get hurt! Don't do that!" PB yelled out to me.
"I didn't know you care PB." One of her minty green eyes twitches at my statement.
Sasuke just looks at me like I'm a lunatic.
"Uh y/n, I wouldn't do that if I were you." Mr. Kaka said with a sweat drop.
I shrug my shoulders towards him. Then, I count to three and prepare my jump.
"Geronimo!" I yelled out.
I can hear my teammates screaming as I jump out. I waited for the incoming ground to land on but it never came. Instead, I feel someone caught me bridal style. I open my eyes to find out that it was Sensei who caught me. Naru and Duckbutt's hands were out as if they were gonna catch something. I look back to Sensei to see he is staring into my e/c eyes. We both held eye contact for a few minutes until I felt my face turning hot from how close his face was to mine. I heard him deeply chuckled at my reaction.
"I told you not to do it~" He said with his usual close eyed smile.
I look away trying to avoid eye contact with my face still red.
'He must be very strong to catch me. I thought I would make him flat like a pancake.'
"Yeah well I could have landed. I know what I'm doing, but thank you anyways Mr. Kaka." I said with a pout.
I heard some snickering after hearing me call him that. He sweat drops again not liking the name.
"Please don't call me that."
"Never!" I said with my tongue out.
He just sighs at my response. Then, I feel someone's arms pull me away from Kakashi sensei's. I look and see that it was Naru who pulled me away.
'How is everybody so strong?!'
"Here you go n/n chan!" Naru said cheerfully as he puts me down.
"Oh, thanks Naru!"
I didn't see Naru smirking at Duckie and Sensei while they gave him a dirty look.
"Well, *clears throat* let's get started."
We all watch him walk towards a post and put a timer on top of it.
"Here we go. It's set for noon." With a push of a button, the timer sets.
Then, we see Sensei pulling out three bells.
"Your assignment is very simple, you just have to take these bells from me. That's all there is to it." He bounces the bells making them ring. "If you can't get them by noon, you go without lunch. You'll be tied to those posts and you'll watch while I eat my lunch in front of you."
Right on cue, I can hear everyone's stomachs growl in hunger except mine. I secretly smiled, mentally patting myself in the back for eating.
"Hold on! Not eating breakfast and coming in late?! Then that means..." Naru exclaimed.
With a sudden look of realization, everyone turns to me. I am just whistling a tune while looking elsewhere.
"Wait a minute there's four of us! How come there's only three bells?" PB asked with three of her fingers sticking out.
"Well that way, at least one of you will end up tied to a post and ultimately disqualified for failing to complete the mission. That one goes back to the academy. Then again, all four of you can flunk out too. You can use any weapons including shuriken. If you're not prepared to kill me, you won't be able to take the bells." He caught the bells in his fist.
"Those weapons are too dangerous, Sensei!" PB tried to reason with him.
Naru laughs at Sensei. "Especially since you couldn't even dodge that eraser."
"Class clowns are usually the weakest links. You can safely ignore them. Lowest scores, losers." Well that pissed Naru off. "When I say start, you can begin."
Naru who is getting pumped up on kicking Sensei's butt grabs his kunai and speeds his way towards him. He was about to slash him until Sensei quickly countered it by gripping Naru's hand with the weapon and aiming it against the back of his head with his other hand holding his head.
"Don't be in such a hurry. I didn't say start yet." Soon he lets go of Naru. "But, you came at me with the full intention of destroying me so how can I say this? I'm actually starting to like you guys."
I smirk at him, getting pumped up as well.
"Get ready. Aaand start!" We all jump to our hiding spots.
I chose to hide behind a couple of trees while Sasuke hid on a tree branch full of leaves while Sakura hid behind a bush. Naru is, you guessed it. Standing out on the open, arms cross with a dopey look on his face. I facepalm for him not thinking straight.
'You moron!'
"You and me! Right now fair and square! Let's go!"
Sensei just gave him a look that said "Are you kidding me?"
"You know compared to the others, you're a little bit weird."
"Oh yeah, the only thing weird here is your haircut." Naru remarked back.
I chuckle at that. Then, Naru runs straight on and stops when he sees Sensei reaching into his pouch.
"Shinobi battle techniques... Part one: Tai jutsu. The physical part." Then, he takes out the famous erotic book, Icha Icha Paradise with a serious look in his eye.
I shake my head in disappointment for him letting us see that book. I mean what's the point of him not telling us what his hobbies are if he's gonna show that anyway?! We are kids for goodness sake!
"What the?!"
"What are you waiting for? Make your move."
"But, I mean.. Why are you reading that book?!"
"Why? To find out what happens in the story of course. Don't let it bother you, with your weak attacks, it doesn't really matter if I'm beating your whatever."
Naru clenches his fist in anger. "I'm going to crush you!"
He proceeded on attacking Sensei but he did not make any progress. Not even a bruise.
"Now you're mine!" Just as he is about to punch him, he punches nothing but air. "Huh?!"
Turns out Sensei quickly dodges him and crouches behind him with his hands form in the sign of the tiger. "Don't let your enemy get behind you all the time."
"Naruto get out of there quick! He's going to destroy you!" Sakura yelled out, revealing herself from her hiding spot.
Naru turns his head to her direction.
"Too late. Leaf Village Secret Finger Jutsu!" He sticks his fingers into Naru's butt. "A Thousand years of Death!" And he launches him towards the river.
My face scrunches into a pained expression from seeing this.
'Ooooh, that's gotta hurt!'
With a splash, he resumes reading. "Okay, where was I?" He asked himself and turns a page.
"That's child harassment right there." I mumbled.
Suddenly as quick as the Flash, two shurikens came out of the water and curved their way to Sensei. Kakashi sensei, who is just as quick, caught them with ease by using his index and middle finger. Naru climbs his way out of the water bank breathing heavily.
"What are you doing now? You know you won't get lunch unless you take a bell by noon."
"I know I know, you told us already!"
"You look pretty wobbly for someone who's going to surpass the Hokage."
Naru's stomach growl, "You told us not to eat breakfast! How can I fight when I'm starving to death?!" As Sensei walks away from Naru, Naru waves his fists in the air. "So, you caught me off guard! That's all it was! Believe it! I'm so hungry I don't have any strength. But I can't let that stop me. I've got to get one of those bells no matter what! I'll find the strength somehow! Believe it! I'm gonna pass this test and I'm not going back to the academy! I will become a ninja!"
'You tell him Naru!'
Almost instantly, Naru's clones jump out of the water. "Ha ha, you're overconfident Sensei! That's why you weren't ready for my shadow clone attack my best jutsu!" Seven Narus ran towards him while Sensei got interested in seeing his clones.
"Great technique, but I don't think you can maintain it for very long. You talk like you're the very best Naruto but you're still the worst student. You can't beat me with this jutsu." Until one of the Narus grabs a hold of him from behind. "What?! He got me from behind!"
Naru chuckles in victory, "Didn't you say, 'Don't let your enemies behind you?' Good advice Sensei. Believe it. I have one of my clones come out of the river. Then sneak up behind me super quiet." As most of his clones hold him down, one is about to land a punch on him. "Now this is for nailing me on the butt earlier! Aaah! You're mine and so are those bells!" Then, he punches himself.
'Oh no...'
"Ouch!" He shouted as he hits the ground. "It's you. You're Kakashi Sensei aren't you?! You transformed into me by using a jutsu!" They then beat each other up.
I shake my head from how clueless he can be. Finally, he undo the jutsu which leaves him standing alone covered in bumps on his face.
'Poor Naru.'
Then, I see him notice a bell on the ground.
"A bell?!" He grins excitedly
'Oh no you don't Naru!'
"I must've got to him with my attack. He dropped a bell." He laughed as he ran towards it.
Before he does however, I call out to him.
"Naruto!" He stops mid run. "Don't touch that!" He gives me a bothered look and I walk towards him. "Mr. Kaka accidentally drops a bell after your attack. Don't you find that a wee bit suspicious?" I asked, lifting my eyebrow.
"Come on n/n, I was doing great out there! Have some faith in me!" He reaches out his hand and bent down to the bell.
"Oh you...(Reaches closer to the bell) I'm just... What are you...? Bad Naru! Mustn't— I said don't! Don't! No! Get away from it!" He touches it. "You did."
Naru's feet got caught in his trap which leaves him dangling upside down, swinging side to side.
"I warned you Naru..." I pinch the bridge of my nose, a little tick off for him not listening to me.
Sensei appears next to me and picks up the bell.
He sighs and says, "Think before you use a jutsu, or else your opponent might use it against you. Oh and also, if the bait is obvious just as y/n mentioned, don't take it." He finished off with his signature smile.
This made Naru even more furious.
"A ninja must see through deception."
"I. Get. It!" He exclaimed with each struggle.
"I am telling you this because you don't get it. You think you get it which is not the same as actually getting it. Get it?"
After he said that, I heard some weapons being thrown.
"Won't you ever learn?" I duck down and see Duckie's weapons hit their target.
"Ah! He just got blasted by shuriken! Are you out of your mind Sasuke?! You went too far!" Naru yelled horrified.
'Oh if only they knew how wrong they all are.'
