Your POV
The next day, I did my usual morning routine, put on my ukulele, and head straight to Naru's door, but instead I found a note taped to his door saying he got to do more pranks. I rolled my eyes and head towards the academy. In the middle of my walk, I heard a dog barking. It seems to be coming closer judging by how loud the barking gets. I turn around and saw a little white ball of fur rushing towards me and jump up to my chest.
"Oof! What the?!"
As I pull back the white fluff, I look at its face and know right away it's Akamaru!
"Ruff!"
Knowing myself, I cannot help but feel adored by this bundle of joy.
"Oh my gosh! Aren't you the cutest little thing! Yes you are, oh yes you are!" I baby talk him while nuzzling his cold wet nose with my dry one.
But then, I noticed that his owner is not present.
'Huh, where's Kiba?'
I look around to see if he is nearby but, I can't seem to find him.
Looking back to Akamaru, I ask, "Do you know where he is?"
All he did was bark as if he's saying, "Nope."
"Well then, I guess he's at the academy looking for you. Come on, let's go pup." I gestured to the direction with my eyes.
With that, we both continue our way to the academy.
Timeskip
When we got near to the academy, I saw Kiba frantically searching for a certain someone while whistling and looking under a bush. I walk up behind him and cleared my throat.
"You looking for someone?" I ask sarcastically.
"Yeah I am. By any chance-"
As he stands up, he stopped mid question when he sees both of us standing behind him. His face changes from panic to relief in an instant.
"Akamaru!" He yells in joy.
Akamaru jumps out from my arms to his and lick his face.
'Sigh, I'm gonna miss holding him.'
"Thanks for finding him y/n!" He says in gratitude.
"Oh, it's no problem. He found me! And I'm glad I found you here. Otherwise I would keep him for myself. Haha." I said jokingly.
Kiba laugh, "Well if you want, you can always hold him if you want to?"
As soon as he finished, I dove straight to the puppy and carried him like a baby.
"Thank you good sir!"
Kiba sweat drops in response for not getting any attention right now.
"Who's the most handsome one in the world? You are!" I babied him as I walk towards the entrance.
"Hey wait a minute!" He shouted after me with his eyes fully white and followed me inside.
Kiba's POV
"All right Akamaru, you know what to do?"
"Ruff!"
"Okay, go find her!"
With that, he ran off to find y/n. You see, we both got a whiff of what her scent smells like on the first day she showed up to class. I made up a plan on how I can get to know her by using what all the girls love, puppies. Always works like a charm. After I waited for 20 minutes, my nose picks up their scent nearby and I quickly put up my "dog searching act".
"Akamaru! Where are you bud?!" *Whistle* I quickly squat down and look under a bush.
"Ahem, you looking for someone?" She asked with her attractive voice.
'All right, just like you rehearsed.' I thought with a smirk.
"Yeah I am. By any chance-"
As I stand up, I turn around and see the goddess herself holding my dog.
'She's so pretty up close...' I thought with a lovestruck look on my face.
Quickly, I snap out of it and "joyously" call out "Akamaru!"
Akamaru jumps out of her arms and lands on mine while licking my face.
I continued to act, "Thanks for finding him y/n!"
After she told me it was no problem and blah blah blah, she made a joke towards the end in which I pay attention to. I laugh and gave her my offer of letting her hold onto Akamaru whenever she wants.
'Which will get me even closer to her..' I thought proudly with a mental pat in the back.
But soon that backfired when she immediately takes Akamaru from me and gives her attention to him instead!
'Darn it! Maybe the charm is too much.' I thought sulkily.
Then, my ears pick up to what she said about him being the "most handsome one," my eyes turn fully white in disbelief and jealousy.
I turn around and ran after her with a "Hey wait a minute!"
When we arrived to the classroom, y/n returned Akamaru to me but, not before saying thank you and calling me "Triangles" again.
"When will you stop calling me that?" I ask with a bit of annoyance.
She jokingly replies, "When you paint another shape on your face."
With a wink, she walks away.
'She's got spunk. I like her even more.'
With a smirk, I praise my dog with his reward of doggy treats.
"Great job Akamaru!"
"Ruff!"
Time skip
Your POV
I returned Akamaru to Kiba after thanking him for holding his dog. I noticed that Iruka Sensei hasn't show up yet which means class hasn't start. Right now, I am picking which seat I can sit on since Naru still hasn't shown up either. My e/c eyes roam around until I spotted an empty seat next to a familiar bug user. I walk up to him and stop right there. His head turns to me, my guess is curiously.
"This seat taken?" I ask him kindly.
He didn't say anything for a few minutes until I heard a monotone "No."
I smiled and sat my fat butt down. Then, I turn to him with my d/h hand sticking out.
"Names y/n, what's yours?"
He looks down at my waiting hand and said "Shino."
After that, he faces front again. Knowing myself, I won't quit on befriending him.
I ask Shino, "So... do you want to be friends?"
His half covered head turns to me again, but more quickly this time.
"Why would you want to be friends with me?"
I shrugged and countered, "Why not?"
"Do you know what clan I am from?"
In response, I put myself in a thinking pose and "pretended" to not know his clan's name.
"Hm, is it the Elton John clan?"
"No."
"John Lennon?"
"...No."
"Ooh ooh I know!"
"Just stop."
"Willy Wonka?!"
"..."
"..."
"..."
".."
"It's Aburame clan."
"Oooh, and your point is?"
Shino lifted up his hand from under the table and put it in front of me with his palm facing up. I look closer and see a tiny hole open up with a bug crawling out of it.
"That's my point. Why? Because you will be scared of who I am and what I can do."
"That's so cool! How'd you do that?! Does it hurt?! What's its name?!" I ask a bit too excitedly.
Shino was beeing (Hah! Get it? 😄) quiet throughout my questionnaires. It doesn't take a genius to know that he's shock under there.
After a moment of silence, he finally ask me, "You're not scared?"
His kikaichū beetle then flew towards me and landed on my nose. Which made me go cross eyed for trying to see the beetle.
"Not really, I mean if this is part of your clan's power then, who am I to judge? It's part of who you are Shino. Besides, I think mine is more weirder to be honest."
Shino's POV
"How so?" I ask curiously.
I am beyond shock that this girl, who I just notice is breath taking wants to be friends with me. Who would? Every time I let some of my bugs out, they would scream and run away. Because of that experience, I chose to isolate myself with my beetles. When she first arrive here, I did not really pay any attention to her introduction and just interact with my beetles. Knowing her, she'll probably don't want to talk to someone like me. Until that changes today. I know she's new here to the village, but I thought my glasses would hint out what clan I'm from. I guess she lives way farther from here. I see Y/n's hand reach behind her and brought out an, instrument? How did I not see that earlier?
"This, is what activates my power." She reveals to me.
How does that four stringed instrument help her with her jutsus? Unless she came from the Village of the Sound. Except they are located near the Leaf Village and even they know who the Aburame clan are. I saw my kikaichū beetle flew downward from y/n's nose to the ukulele. Right now, I can tell that my beetle is trying to inspect it to see if her chakra is in it. As he (AN: I'm calling it a he) finishes, he flew up to my hand and informs me that he did not sense any chakra in that object.
"Shino? What is it?" I hear her question me in curiosity.
"My kikaichū seems to not sense any chakra in your instrument y/n."
"Oh right, well it doesn't now since I haven't strum it yet."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"I find that hard to believe." I said without a doubt.
'Even though I want to hear her play.'
"You think I'm a liar?" She asked with a challenging grin.
I can't help but blush a little when I see her cute competitive grin. It's a good thing my collar covers half of my face.
Without waiting for my response, she continues "After class, meet me by the trees where the swing is."
And turns face front just as Iruka Sensei arrives with Naruto in tow.
'What have I gotten myself into?'
Time skip to after class~
As class ended, I pack up my stuff and turn to y/n but, her seat is empty. I look around the classroom to find that she is nowhere to be seen.
'Maybe she went to the restroom.'
I head out the door and walk to the spot where y/n told me to meet. When I arrived, I look around to see if she was waiting for me. Instead, I see nothing until I felt a presence next to me.
"You made it."
I turn my head and found her face upside down, but what caught me off guard is how close she is to mine. I can feel my face turn a deeper shade of red, any closer than that, we would've... I step back to put space in between us and to calm myself down. Y/n lifted herself up from hanging upside down on the branch and climbs down towards the ground.
Trying to get this over with since my beetles won't stop buzzing whenever they're near her, I ask her, "Isn't there something you want to prove?"
"Ah yes, my chakra." She brings out her musical tool in front of her and position it. "Just promise me you won't freak out?" She asks with a scared look on her face.
I remained silent and nodded as a promise because I see myself when she made that face. Her d/h hand moves toward the strings and strums a melodic tune. The sound even made my frenzied beetles more calm and quiet. With her eyes closed, she sing out the lyrics with her heavenly voice.
"Was a bug, little bug, hardly there

Without any evidence
(His flaws were many)

Then my kikaichū beetles start to jitter around for not only the song but, f/c glowing substance coming out of her hands. Then, I realized it's her chakra.

Her chakra flows outward and spreads all around us.
I can feel how warm and harmonious it is to the beat of her music. Then, something unexpected happens, large numbers of insects of different breeds starts showing up and joins us on listening to her performance.

Several butterflies landed on her hair as she is close to her ending. This view took my breath away. That's when I admit to myself that I am in love with her. My very first crush with the new music girl.

Your POV
Just when I finished my song, I opened my eyes to find Shino standing there with a lot of bugs around us.
'Well, I guess I can call out animals too depending on what song I'm playing.'
"Oh, I didn't know we have an audience." I said with a giggle.
A lady bug flew to my finger and crawled to my fingertip tickling me a little bit. Shino has been quiet while watching me interact with the little bug.
He walks up to me and sticks his finger near my hair to let a butterfly climb on which made me blush a little. He shows it to me and I saw that it's f/c.
I genuinely grinned big and cheekily said, "Well, I hope this proves it."

A/N: OMG guys I am sooo sorry for the late update! 😓 My internet has been out 2 days ago all because of the stupid outage with the company. I also have to finish some of my hw for summer class which requires INTERNET. At least I have my phone but, typing it on the screen with my fat stubby fingers is annoying. So, I deeply apologized if my grammar sucks even more. However, I did type up more in this chapter since I felt bad that the last one was a bit short. Might as well give you more stuff to read during quarantine am I right? 😁 As you may have notice I typed up plenty of Easter eggs in there hehe.
