After dropping off Amira and Auggie we head to work. "You wanna know why Auggie wanted me to walk him in" Jay says as we walk into the precinct. "Why Jay" I say not really caring. "He wanted to look cool in front of his friends" he says. "So your telling me that a decorated Detective got used by a five year old" as he nods in pity. "That sad Jay" I say walking up the stairs to intelligence. We put our bags in the lockeroom then go back to the bullpen. "So Will's not going to make it to Christmas dinner he said and I quote, Christmas at the hospital is the best time of year." Jay says.
T-4 days till Christmas
Kevin POV*
I can't believe how fast a week went. Today is my day off and I'm at an appointment with Vanessa. " Alright so the baby looks good he or she has already turned so now it's a waiting game" Dr. Vivek says handing us the the ultrasound pictures and leaving the room. I help Vanessa off the table and we leave. As were in the car I deicide to switch things up. "Kevin baby this is not the way home" Vanessa says looking up from her phone. "Nope were going some where else" I say. When we get to the place and I help Vanessa out the car. "Why are we at a animal shelter" she asks.
"Because we are getting a dog" I say opening the door for her. "Hello my name is Kevin we would like to adopt a dog" I say. " Hi I'm Jade, have you already filled out the paper work" Jade asks. "Yes" I say handing her the papers. She takes the papers looks over them then takes us to the back where the dogs are. We walk up and the isle look and pointing out the all the cute dogs. Until we come across this beautiful dog in the corner of it kennel. "How bout this one" Vanessa says pointing to the small black and white dog. " This is Blu he just got here two days ago. Would you like him? " Jade says. "Yes" I say as Jade takes out the keys to open up the kennel and bringing him out with the rope leash. After filling out more paper work we finally get to bring him home. " Is that why you didn't want me to help you file the bills we payed last week" Vanessa says smiling as Blu licks her face. Before we go home we stop by Target and PetSmart to get the essentials and some treats.
T-3 days till Christmas
Adam POV*
Only three days left for me to get Kim a great gift. Went to a jewelry store to get Kim a necklace that has a heart with and infinity sign on it. I get back to my place and put the bag in my closet along with the other gifts I got her. Tonight is the last night I'll see Kim because she going to her sister's for Christmas. Me and her are doing Christmas early, so tonight I am making us fettuccine. When Kim arrives she has on a nice red dress with black heels on. "You look great I say giving her a kiss. "Thanks and your making fettuccine like the first time you cooked for me" she says " with extra cream" we say at the same time. "Dinner is served" I say placing plate in front of Kim and the other in front of me. Dinner was great but what came after was even better.
