after locking my phone, i rested my chin on my palm as the teacher continued with the discussion.
"was that louis?" sabrina whispered. i felt thomas lean in behind me, also listening.
"yeah. he said he wants to go on a date," i replied flatly.
sabrina and thomas glanced at each other with a sigh. i was glad sabrina was slowly moving on from lucas. she really didn't deserve that kind of treatment from any guy.
"isn't it your first monthsary? is everything still not okay between you two?" sabrina raised a brow.
i shook my head and turned to the both of them.
"how could we be okay? he was with gabriella every second of the week. even before she went back to australia!" i ranted before regretting. i should be understanding.
"louis is not stupid. im sure he'll talk to you about it," thomas assured before we got scolded by the teacher.
"Izzy, Thomas, and Sabrina! Would you mind sharing to us what you're gossiping about?!"

classes ended and i went straight home after bidding goodbye to thomas and sabrina.
i changed into a black turtle neck sweater, and beige skirt, before slipping on some black high cut converse.
at 5, louis arrived. he was holding a bouquet of flowers, making me smile.
"thank you," i said to him before leaving it on the kitchen counter.
"happy first month, isabelle. i love you," he whispered before pulling me into a tight hug.
"happy first month too, lou," i smiled into the hug. it made me so happy and secured now that he was back into my arms.
"let's go? i reserved a restaurant for us," he took my hand in his before pulling me along.
i was quiet the whole way to the restaurant and even after we sat down at a table. louis tried to keep me engaged but i only gave him simple answers.
"hey," he called. "what's wrong?"
"nothing. im completely fine," i lied. i was hurt. i was hurting the whole time he was with gabriella.
"izzy, don't lie to me," he held my hand on the table which i quickly removed as soon as the food was served.
louis sighed and dug in his meal.
i didn't want to ruin our first monthsary but i couldnt fake being happy. it was difficult for me.
i felt bad because louis was trying to make up for the days he was with gabriella.
"izzy, what's wrong?" louis asked once again after we got out of the car. it was now 7 pm and we got off in front of my house.
"i said im fine, lou," i inhaled a sharp breath, trying to get inside my house before my tears start falling.
lou caught up to me and pulled me back to him, causing me to meet his eyes.
that was when i felt my cheeks dampen and my vision blurred.
"iz? did i do something wrong?" he asked in worry. he then pulled me into a hug and my hands turned into fists as i cried loudly in his chest.
"i missed you so damn much, louis!" i finally let out the words i've been holding in. i pulled away from the hug and saw as realisation hit him.
"i swear i tried so hard to be the understanding girlfriend because i didn't want you to feel as if you were in a leash. b-but i was hurt, louis," i confessed tearfully.
"i-- im sorry, izzy," was all he could say.
"forget it, lou. she's back in Australia and you're back with me now. i'll be fine,"
"no, izzy. it's not fine," louis argued. "it's my fault. i should've asked you if you were okay with it. i should've been more careful. i'm sorry, isabelle. i shouldn't have made you feel like this,"
i looked down on the ground, too embarrassed in front of him.
during the first month of dating louis, we were always together. he always made me feel beautiful and secured. i couldnt help but think i was at fault for being insecure.
"just answer this one question, louis," i managed to say without my voice breaking. "were you really friends with gabriella?"
"we... we dated before but it wasn't serious. i shouldn't have kept it from you," he answered.
"it's alright, lou. i know you were only trying to not make me worry," i gave him a smile. this time, it was sincere. i was glad we were finally talking.
"i'm really really sorry, isabelle. i promise i won't do that again. it's my duty as your boyfriend to not make you feel insecure and i did a terrible job," louis took my hands and kissed my knuckles before wiping away my tears. "i promise i'll be better,"
"no more hiding things, alright?" he nodded.
"but please, stop saying you're fine when you're not. i don't want you keeping these feelings all to yourself," louis added.
it was my turn to nod.
louis ruffled my hair and wrapped his arms around my waist before kissing my lips.
"i'll make it up to you,"

im terribly sorry that their fight wasn't that big but personally, fights like this is what helps the relationship improve. i know this from experience lol jk
