IZZY Talks About 'pov', School, & How She Started

interviewer: Good morning! today i am with the young star, IZZY!

izzy: hi! im so excited to be here

interviewer: im excited to interview you too haha

interviewer: so let's talk about your new single, 'pov'

izzy: sure! how was it?

interviewer: i listened to it earlier this morning and i LOVE all three songs especially 'at my worst'

izzy: thank you

interviewer: so i noticed there was like a pattern or theme going on in the single, will you explain what the theme is about?

izzy: yes so uh the single is about a person who is insecure and very flawed but they're in love

izzy: if you noticed, there's a story going on

izzy: 'waves' is about the person who is only starting to fall in love but she's insecure, right? there's this uncertainty in the lyrics but she wants to try and change for the better

izzy: 'coz when you're in love you wanna be better for the person [chuckles]

izzy: then the next is 'at my worst' which is where the person finally fell in love like 'love love' but they think they're still not the perfect partner. so instead they ask the person to stay even at their worst.

interviewer: interesting..

izzy: and last is 'pov'

izzy: the person singing wonders how and why their partner loves them and they start to want to see themselves like how their partner sees them

interviewer: thats deep

interviewer: so i heard you write your songs, is that true?

izzy: yes i do [nods]

interviewer: i wanna know how you get these ideas

izzy: i also used to be insecure like every time a person compliments me, i feel like they're saying it to be nice or i just feel like it's not true

izzy: but i started to see beauty in me and i want people to know that there is always a person who is sincere with you and really sees how beautiful and wonderful you are

interviewer: i love how mature you are

izzy: thank u

interviewer: so you live in london but you're here to promote your single, yeah?

izzy: yes that is correct but i am also going to promote my single there so it's a long promotion

interviewer: how is your life here? who are you with?

izzy: uh, i definitely missed the hot weather of la and the beaches. im only with my manager. my mum's in paris right now and my dad tried to come with me but he's currently dealing with loads of work

interviewer: how do u deal with school? 'coz i follow u on instagram and i've seen you post a few pics in school

izzy: [jokingly] well i am currently failing in my subjects. it's actually hard to balance school and my career but my teachers understand and i take classes online whenever i get home so that's my way of catching up

interviewer: what about your friends? do the people in your school treat you differently? you're really famous right now

izzy: i have a few friends back in london and they like to tease me at times. the people in my school are really friendly as well- they like to congratulate me every time i release a project though i feel like a few are intimidated by me. i try to be as warm i can be to them

interviewer: you're really amazing. i mean i can't even multitask but you're out here being a big star and a student at the same time

interviewer: now that you made it big, i wanna know how you started. was it all part of the plan? or were you discovered by accident?

izzy: um being as well known was definitely not part of the plan. i started with gymnastics first but i also got into acting a few years later so i had to quit the sport. stranger things was my first project and that was how my acting career started.

izzy: as for my singing career, i've always loved singing so i asked my manager if i could also try singing and we talked about for about 3 to 4 hours and the next thing i know is im in a recording studio and shooting music videos

interviewer: and ladies and gentlemen that is IZZY. thank you so much for visiting today, please say something to your fans.
