"Any station, any station, this is Zodiac five-niner-five all civilians in the area are all over dead. Requesting decon units and medevac." An American soldier said in the radio while the Spartans listens as the Raven dropship descends and landed on a rooftop
"Five-niner-five, this is Overlord actual negative. All U.S. Forces in Paris are engaged. Triage the civilians and move your team down into the plum."
The dropship landed as Noble and Blue Team took positions making sure the roof is clear of hostiles.
"This area is still dirty from the chemical attack. Keep your helmets on." Carter said jumping down the lower level.
"Spartans, move out." Chief ordered.
The Spartans did as they told and move out. All of them use the wall for cover and going room to room securing their location as they move out. "Spartans, this is Cortana. GIGN is pinned down on the Palm d'or Restaurant. Get there fast before we loose our only shot of finding Makarov."
"Roger Wilcox."
The team stopped as they spotted a dead body lying on the floor. Emile came down and pressed his two fingers at the throat only to find no pulse. "595 sounds like they got hit hard. Lot of Rooks experienced that." Emile commented.
"No-one's a rook today." Nathan said.
They continued their search for the GIGN, but they were stopped as a wall falls in front of them. "I got it." Jorge said moving forward.
Jorge looked at the wall in front of him and spotted a gap underneath. He placed his hand under it and lifted the entire structure with no trouble. He lifted it and tossed it out in the open and fall. "Watch your step." He warned them.
They all walked slowly so they could get to the other side. "Spartans, GIGN is taking heavy casualties and they won't last long. You have to double to make it to the RV." Cortana said in the comms.
"Patch us through their comms." Carter said as Cortana did as she was told.
"This is Saber how much longer?"
"3 minutes out. Just keep the perimeter secure we're almost there." Carter responded.
"Please just hurry."
"Let's go move it. Let's move." Carter said taking down the stairs.
As they moved down the stairs an RPG hits the window and Carter fell down on the ground floor. "Argh." Carter groaned in pain.
"Commander, you alright?' Kat asked swiftly avoiding another RPG.
"Never better." Carter replied.
Linda looked out the window and spotted multiple enemy personnel across the building holding up inside the library. "Target spotted. Their inside the library next door."
"Hit'em hard." Chief said returning the fire.
The other Spartans returned the fire as well as they got out of cover and opened fire at the enemy. Emile had enough and jumped down the window. "Get over here!" He used his grappling hook on his wrist and grabbed a nearby soldier and stabbed it with his energy sword. "Who's next!?" He shouted charging straight wt the door and completely breaked it open.
"Let's move." Carter said as they joined Emile inside.
Kelly came first and took out multiple enemies with her shotgun before kicking another soldier which sends him outside the window and into a car. Jorge jumped from the first floor and landed on the second floor. Standing in his full height several enemy soldiers retreated from Jorge's height.
"Hello boys." He said dropping them all with his pulse machine gun.
"Clear?" Chief asked.
"Clear." Carter replied.
"The entrace is right in this alley." Nathan said.
"Saber, this is Spartan-117 watch you're fire from the north we are coming to you." Chief said to the GIGN CO.
"Copy that. Merde. We're glad to see you."
Chief noddes to Carter as they break the door open with a single punch. Up ahead several Russian soldiers were executed as the GIGN outnumber them.
"Hold your fire." Nathan said
"Maintenez votre feu! (Hold your fire!)" A French Commando said to his troops
"It's the GIGN." Fred commented as they got out of their cover
"That all of 'em?" Kelly asked.
"Let's find out." Kat replied.
The Spartans emerged from the corner to spot several GIGN Commandos with their weapons raised. There were also several injured Officers as the others patch them. The Spartans walked pass the GIGN as they look at the tall armored figures clanned in armor. The team entered the room to find the surviving French Special Forces.
"What's your status?" Chief asked.
"Seven men standing." Saber replied.
"Where's Volk?" Carter asked.
"The Russian has launched a chemical attack from a staging ground to the Catacombs." Saber replied loading his G36. "We believe Volk is still there."
"Got your six. Lead the way." Carter answered as Saber nodded and took point. "Cortana, this is Noble One link up complete we're enroute to the H.V.I. location now."
As the team got into the cafe they were immediately bombarded with rounds coming from AKs and other firearms the Russian ultranationalist owned. The Spartans used themeselves as shields as the GIGN stand behind them for cover as they advanced.
As they are near the entrance they took out most of the enemies near. "Scatter." Chief ordered as the group separated, took cover, and returned fire. "Linda, Fred, Kelly we've got enemies moving up the stairs. Watch out.
"RPGs top of the stairs." Jun said sniping a soldier wielding an RPG.
The Spartans decided to stay close with the GIGN even though the team knew they can handle it all to themselves the French Commandos doesn't possessed the armour and equipment they owned so they stick close to them and protected them.
"Up the stairs." Saber said as the GIGN lead the way to the catacombs with the Spartans behind them.
"This way."
The Spartans followed the French Commandos, but immediately took cover as several Russian APCs across the street. Chief and Fred took lead and charged forward. The enemies shoots them with their weapons, but the duo were not affected as it simply bounced off. They jumped high in the air and slammed their fist on the ground resulting in a shockwave which sends everything flying away several meters including the APCs which destroyed it in the process.
The French Commandos across were amazed of the level of tech and weaponry the Spartans possessed.
"Souhaite en avoir un." (Wish have one of those.) A French Commandos commented.
"Let's go." Chief said as the others followed behind.
The team crossed the street and turned to another intersection, but was again bombarded by the ultranationalist. "We gonna need air support." Kat said. "Commander, request permission to use the T.H.O.R. missile system."
"Granted." Carter answered.
Kat pulled up her wrist computer and send the missile system. A sonic boom can be heard from the sky causing many of them to look up. Above a fireball came down and exploded in the air. When it disappears the T.H.O.R. missile system activated as Kat used it's kinetic rod and destroyed most of the ground troops while using the missiles to destroy the vehicles.
"Over there. The entrance to the catacombs!" Saber pointed.
The three teams formed a circle as Saber opened the sewers. The French Commander jumped first followed by Chief and Carter. Once clear Carter called in. "Clear."
It took some time as the other members followed them. "Checking for toxic. Hold up." Kat said.
The wrist computer on her wrist stopped. "I got negative contamination on this area. Saber you're team is clear to remove your masks."
"We need to minimize our signature. Use one light source only." Noble Six said as Saber nodded and turned on his helmet flashlight.
"Understood. Follow me stay close."
"Cortana, this is 117 we're now in the catacombs and are proceeding to Volk's last known location."
"Copy were tracking you."
The group entered another part of the catacombs where they cross a small bridge to make it to the other side.
"So what happened to the rest of the GIGN?" Emile asked.
"A chemical strike hit our barracks at Satory last night. Most of men died within minutes." Saber replied. "This is why Volk must pay for what he has done."
"He will. I'll see to that." Emile replied.
The group stopped as Fred ripped the metal door open. "Bievenue." Saber said.
The team moves deeper into the catacombs and as they were moving a soldier jumps on Saber with the knife, but the experience Commando disarmed the knife and used it to slash at his throat.
"Move." Carter said.
"Flashbang!" An enemy threw a flashbang which blinds them.
"We got a runner!" Linda said.
"It's Volk." Jun said.
"Cortana, we have positive ID on the HVI. We're in pursuit." Carter replied.
"Copy. Remember we need Volk captured alive. He holds the only intel regarding Makarov."
As they advance a Russian soldier pulls out a grenade launcher and shoots at Jorge. The 40mm round launched hits him at the chest and launched him several meters away.
"Argh." Jorge groaned in pain as he stood up.
"You alright big guy." Jun said as he and Nathan helped the giant Spartan to his feet.
"I'm fine. Let's get the bastard." He said grabbing his machine gun.
They followed the others up above and spotted Volk entering a blue sedan. "He's getting away." Saber said.
"Chief." Carter said getting John's attention. "You guy's go. Will hold our position and get them out of here."
Chief nodded and turned to his teammates. "Blue team fallout."
Blue Team got off their cover as the GIGN and Spartan-III provide cover fire. Using their enhance speed they were able to catch up to the Blue Sedan with little to no difficulty. Sprinting at near 40mph on a tight street. Kelly was in front using her shotgun to shoot at the sedan tires.
"Left side. Left side." John said as a AFV came from their left.
Fred sprinted faster and activated his gravity slam. Once near the AFV he punched it which caused the vehicle to explode and crashed to a nearby building.
"Chopper!" Linda said as a Mi-24 Hind came into view.
"Inside that building now."
The Spartan-II sprinted faster as they entered the building while avoiding the 30mm auto cannon of the Hind above them. Linda used her sniper rifle and shoot down the engine of the helicopter causing it crash down. Outside again they caught up with Volk's blue sedan.
"Shoot the tires." John said.
Linda was the one who got the shot as the sedan swirled uncontrollably. John then shoulder push the car launching it to fence and crashed. "Rabbit vehicle is down." John went to the passenger seat and grabbed Volk out. "Come here, asshole." He said as he rip open the door and the seat and pulls him out. "This is 117. Jackpot. Volk's secure."
"Copy, extraction point is on their to pick you up."
