Riza POV
You abandoned me mother. If I can call you mom, Aadaya Misra. Only by blood, not by deeds of course.
Just glad you didn't abort the two of us, I guess.
Twins, just don't look alike. Separated at birth, adopted by different foster families, Ananya and I.
She was adopted by the Pandey's and I by the Affrin's.
But When I was only a kid. I sacrificed everything for you mother, she didn't!
Everything for Aadaya and her evil nasty deeds. Sometimes theft and sometimes murder.
The cops hunted me down for years, but I kept running.
That sunny Sunday on the beach has a clear memory in my head. I was with my best friend, Jannat Zubair. My only friend. She was splashing water on me and we were playing around like all other armature kids.
When she came, and took me away.
Aadaya kidnapped me, kidnapped by my own mother! Then trained me, brought me to a whole new hell.
Then at 14, I killed my first victim for her.
Sometimes I feel like, I never really wanted any of this. I never wanted to be a murderer, a thief, a criminal.
Maybe I just want to be a normal girl, get a job, fall in love, get married, have kids, all that shit.
But of course I don't have that choice.
She never gave me that choice.
(Her phone starts to ring, Call from Aadaya)
Aadaya: hello. Riza, my child. Any news?
Riza: First of all, don't even dare try to call me your child! Second, our plan is working. He broke up with Ananya.
Aadaya: good. This time, you might not be the murderer, your sister might come into use.
Riza: but what if she refuses?
Aadaya: then you're there to finish him off for me arn't you! After all, you already have blood on your hands.
Riza: (sighing) of course mother. What's the plan?
Aadaya: I need you to travel to Dubai and do something extremely important.
Riza: what?
Aadaya: come meet your sister.
Riza: WHAT?!
Aadaya: after all, she needs you the most.
Riza: are you serious mother?
Aadaya: positive.
(Cuts the call)
—I'm not sure whether this gives me happiness or anxiety.
Hearing kind words come from Aadaya is a whole new phenomenon.
I take my phone out, which is now buzzing with a mail notification.
I open it and it's a flight ticket to Dubai, forwarded from Aadaya.
Does she really want me to just meet my sis?
I'm sure that there's more to this story. This is definitely more complex!

Rohit POV
Rohit: (distressed and guilty) I shouldn't have.
Ashi: you weren't too harsh on her dude. She's fine. You've been worse.
Rohit: but not to Avu! It's all my fault.
Ashi: yup. It definitely is. Now you guys might not get married!
Rohit: fuck off! Not helping!
Ashi: THEN COME BACK TO YOUR SENCES AND help HER SEARCH FOR WHATEVER SHE WANTS TO FIND!
Rohit: alright! Jeez! Don't have to shout!
(The elevator beeps and Rohit let's two chatting girls in, one of whom looks rather distressed as she searches all over the floor for something and Ashi runs off to some other important work)
Rohit: hey. What are you guys searching for?
Avu: (worried) Sana! She's missing. Can't find her anywhere. (Looking under Rohit's desk, only to find some dust bunnies)
Rohit: oh...
Jaan: we checked everywhere! This floor is the only place left!
(The three checking everywhere, calling out her name, but not being able to find the furry creature, then meeting up at the same spot at the middle of the room again)
Jaan: no luck.
Avu: where could she be?!
Rohit: I'm sure we will! Maybe she got lost in the street. She couldn't have gotten far. Let's go see.
Avu: but how could she get out?!
Rohit: we don't know...but it's the only option we have left!
Jaan: he's right.
(The three of them rushing outside and into a Rolce Royce as they hop in and Rohit hops into the drivers seat, driving slowly across the city)
Rohit: do you see her?
Avu: no. Let's get off and look around.
Jaan: yeah. We might be able to find her on foot.
Rohit: right. (Parking the car as they hop off and walk around)
—All three of us hop off into the hot empty pavement, calling Sana's name.
I can see Avu completely worried sick and totally loosing her cool.
It's been about half an hour since I'd started searching and probably many hours more since they'd.
But where could Sana have gone? That too at a time like this!—
Rohit: when was the last time you'd seen her?
Avu: this morning.
Jaan: I saw her right after we had lunch! She was roaming around the corridors.
Rohit: where?
Jaan: somewhere around the 3rd floor west.
—oh no!
Third floor wear is where Aadaya's room is! How did Sana get there?!
But most of all, what has Aadaya done to her!—
Rohit: sorry guys, but I suddenly remember that I have to make this very important call.
—If there's anyone who knows where Sana is it's her kidnapper, (more like catnapper.)
Aadaya.
I take my phone out and find her contacts as I watch the phone's sign change from 'calling' to 'ringing'.
Then she picks up.—

Rohit: (in a stern strict voice) where is she?
Aadaya: (snickering and mocking) Who?
Rohit: you know very well who! Where is Sana!
Aadaya: (letting out a yawning) about time you figured out it was me. But to get her back... you need to do me an itty bitty favor.
Rohit: no.
Aadaya: (scoffing) least hear me out! You might not even dislike it!
Rohit: (annoyed) what is it?!
Aadaya: You need to date the girl of my choice.
Rohit: no.
Aadaya: oh c'mon. Just one date. And besides you broke up with your girlfriend anyway! One date can't hurt!
Rohit: no thank you!
Aadaya: alright... then you may never ever find the cat again!
—I look down at Jaan, her arm supporting Avu as tears roll down her eyes and she keeps calling out for Sana.
Jaan trying to calm her down but failing as she just looks around stoically everywhere for the furry creature.
It's just one date.
I'll do it for Avu.—
Rohit: one date.
Aadaya: good. Learning to use our brains are we?
Rohit: (scoffing) now where's the cat?!
Aadaya: Your dates gonna be tomorrow. Parasaè cafe. 4:30pm sharp.
Rohit: the cat!
Aadaya: (letting out a cheery laugh) Ranne Park Avenue, down to the lake, she might even be injured.
Rohit: (cuts the call)
—What had Aadaya done to Sana!
I swear if she even laid a hand on Sana I will not spare her!—
Rohit: (to the girls) get in the car.
(Rohit sitting down in the driver's seat as the two get on confused)
Avu: where are we going?
Rohit: I know where Sana is.
Jaan: Where!?
Rohit: (ignoring their questions and driving way over speed limit, only to be called over by a police officer)
Rohit: (Boiling with anger)
Avu: I told you to slow down!
Rohit: (to Avu) shh!
(Opens the window as the officer stands there)
Rohit: (rolling the window down)
Officer: Over speeding
Rohit: (very angry)Are you new here?
Officer: why yes! But that dosent make your fine any less.
Rohit: do you not know who I am?
Officer: no. And I'd rather not.
Rohit: call your senior.
(Another officer walking over, who must be the newbie's senior)
Senior: What seems to be the-
(His mouth just hanging agape as he sees Rohit's angry attire and the new officers bothered look)
Senior: (to Rohit) I am so sorry sir! Please forgive him. He's new here. He doesn't know anything.
Please forgive him.
Rohit: You should know how to control your staff. I swear if anyone else from your crew gets in my way I will hold you accountable!
Senior: yes sir. It will not be repeated.
(Rohit nods as he drives away and Avu looks through the back window to catch the very angry senior shouting at the new officer)
Avu: (to Rohit) that was not right.
Rohit: I didn't even do anything!
Avu: now that new officer probably lost all confidence! Thanks to you!
Rohit: (cold) can't care less! He should know who not to mess with.
Jaan: how do you have this power anyway?
Rohit: I call it the shield of money. I'm Rich. And money is power.
Avu: I'm rich! But I don't misuse my power!
Rohit: then you're being dumb.
Avu: No! You're being a prick! Haven't your parents taught you not to bully people like that!
(At that Rohit just goes silent, and Jaan tenses too, shaking her head slowly at Avu in a 'you shouldn't have said that' kinda way)
Avu: (whispering to Jaan) why?
Rohit: (sighing) they had. And I did follow, while they were there.
Avu: oh... your parents are-
Rohit: gone. Long time ago.
Avu: I shouldn't have-(guilt in her voice)
Rohit: It's totally fine. Common mistake.
Rohit: (lightning the mood) Were here! Let's go find Sana.
Jaan: yeah. Let's go.
—flashback
(First time ever stealing.
Running through the empty dark streets on a September night, the only source of light being the dull glow of streetlights as a few police cars chase after them, the sirens giving the streets a full blue and red glow.
Faisu and Sid running through small alleys and jumping off boxes)
Faisu: This is not correct. It's just not!
Sid: Cmon! This will give you enough money to live like the rich folk for a month!
Faisu: but the rich folk don't steal!
Sid: yeah! They cheat innocent people! Least we don't betray and cheat people!
Faisu: fair enough...
(The two vanishing into their old warehouse as they light a small candle and sit down with a bag of cash, counting every bundle)
Sid: (gasping shocked) 7000 rupees.
Faisu: that's a lot. Don't you feel guilty?
Sid: (scoffing) of course I do. If dad were here. (Gulping some saliva) (sadly) he'd be anything but proud.
Faisu: if he were here, would you ever do it?
Sid: (shaking his head) but he's not. (Angrily as a tear rolls down his eyes) but his values died along with him!
Faisu: (wiping Sid's tear away)
Flashback Ends—
Rohit. She's down at the lake.
(Walking fast)
—I try to avoid eye contact and any conversation as an odd pit forms in my stomach and I just feel like breaking down and crying.
It's been so very many years, and sometimes I forget how much I miss him.
How badly I wish I had parents.
I just wanted a normal life. I always did and always will.
I walk down the stairs quickly until I reach the bottom, at the very edge of the lake.
The water as still as glass, the silence undisturbed. It's somewhere around 6 and the suns at it's horizon as the water reflects the sky's pink-red glow.—
Avu: SANA! Sana!
Avu: I can't lose her Jaan. I can't. She's all I have left. She's everything I have of him.
—I watch as the tears lavishly flow down Avu's face. Tears of regret and despair.
But what does she mean by 'she's everything I have of him?'
I watch as she drops to her knees, Jaan splashing the cool water on her.
She's losing all hope, but something tells me that Sana is somewhere around.
A gut feeling. Deep deep down.—
Jaan: where is Sana?! Rohit!
Rohit: (whispering) shh! Let me think!
(Closing his eyes and listening to the most minute sounds, a low clanking)
Rohit: chains.
Jaan: what?
Rohit: they're coming from this alleyway!
—I run straight into the dark alleyway, the concrete floor turning to sand from the lakeside.
There's definitely some sound coming. Chains again the ground.
The closer I run towards the end of the alleyway, the louder the sound gets.
Louder.
Louder.
Until I come across a large brown box with holes.
I lift the box up and there's a dirty small creature struggling, chains tied all around her neck and legs, bruising her from many sides.
Her bright brown eyes now fuller due to tiredness and hurt. Low purring sounds coming from her as she looks fondly up at Rohit.
Next to her, a note kept, readings,
'I kept my part of the deal, you keep yours!'
Aadaya! How could she!
Heartless, ruthless, emotionless monster!
I immediately untangle the chains as I gently take out the small furry animal, her legs badly bruised as red marks cover many parts of her where the chains must have tangled her up.
Looking at the horrible condition, I can't feel anything less than,
guilty.—
Rohit: (whispering) Sana. (A teardrop rolling down his eyes as he sits down in from if the helpless small animal)
Its all my fault. I'm so sorry. (Wiping the uncontrollable tears away as the cat just whimpers there)
Rohit: (picking the fairy creature up gently) Let's get you to Avu. And then a doctor.
—Until now I thought Aadaya was just a greedy woman who wanted more money and riches.
But today I see, Aadaya is not a woman. She's a monster!
But things still don't fit.
Why does she want me to date this person so badly?!—
