NEXT MORNING
THE DINING AREA
NICHOLAS POV
After what happened last night with Maya, as expected I haven't been able to sleep for a single second. Maya's words kept ringing in my mind till the morning. She seemed to be actually very angry after I told her the truth. I thought to only have some fun in teasing her but all of that turned out to be a very bad idea. Moreover the determination that I then saw in her eyes make me feel as if the worse is about to come. I guess that kind of serves me right for all the times that I've been unfair to her.
As for now, I haven't seen her from the morning. Well that doesn't bother me much as right now the more I stay away from her the more better it is. Both for her and me.
My thoughts get disturbed as my breakfast is placed in front of me. As usual first of all I reach out to pick my cup of coffee which is missing from its regular place making me look at my staff as I question them:
" Where's my coffee.? "
Before anyone of them could answer, another voice coming from the kitchen side answers me making me turn:
" Right here.. With mee...!!!!! "
As I turn I see Maya walking out of the kitchen with a cup in her hands as she approaches me with a great wide smile all over her face looking absolutely happy. I just look at her as she walks here as I think.
Wasn't she supposedly angry at me.?
Didn't she say that she's gonna make things hard for me.?
And she also seemed to be dead serious about it the previous night.!
Then why the hell is she smiling like this.?
Why am I getting this bad feeling about her smile.?
Just she keeps the cup near me, I'm about to ask her the reason behind her happiness but she ends up shocking me even more. After keeping the cup, I see Maya's face getting even closer to mine, planting a soft kiss on my cheek.
I feel her lips slowly move towards my ear making her cheek slightly brush against mine as I feel my entire face on fire as Maya says in a very usually casual way;
" Good morning Nicholas.. ''
Having said that she just pulls herself way from me and sits in the seat next to me as she starts eating her own breakfast while I struggle to keep pace with her normalness.
Like what the hell..??
Hello... Drunk Maya is gone..!!!!! Why is Sober Maya behaving like this now..??
Please I like it better when Maya is annoyed at me and running away from rather than Maya being this ... this weird type of loving, caring wife..
I try to reach my coffee to drink it so as I calm my nervous mind but as I see my hand slightly shaking, I pull my hand back not willing to make a fool out of myself in front of my wife and my staff. I really need to get a grip over myself. I cannot afford to let this woman affect me in any kind of way.
I let some minutes pass by and as I feel myself stable again, I shoot directly at that woman;
" You really think this is going to work..??
All this drama..??
You do realize that I deal with this kind of stupid flirting sh*t literally everyday..!! "
" Off course I do know that. After all you're considered to be one of the richest and most eligible bachelors.
But why are you telling me that..?? "
Maya replies me brushing me out in an extremely casual way as she eats making me feel even more concerned.
" Because I'm not blind Maya.. I can see what you are trying to do.!! If you really think doing all this is gonna affect me then keep on dreaming.. I don't care about what you're trying to do..!! "
Is what I tell her in my normal tone.
" Well if you don't care as you are saying then why is it bothering you so much..?? "
She questions me only on the very contrary.
" Whatever.. you know what.. I'm not gonna waste my time bickering with you right now..!! I'm done with this.. I need to work..!! "
Is what I use as an excuse to leave from there but I'm stopped as Maya states;
" Wait I'm coming along.. after all you're going to drop me at the NGO today...!! "
" And when did I say that..?? "
I question her sudden interest of me dropping her as before today each time I had proposed to drop her, she had flatly refused me but today....
" You don't need to say that.. I am saying it.. After all I'm your wife.. And my workplace is on your way. Now give me five minutes, I'll get my bag and then we'll leave..!! "
Comes her answer as she finishes eating and gets up from her place and heads to her room.
I just look at her figure going away from me making me realize that yes she's actually very much keen on punishing me for the joke I did.
SOME TIME LATER
IN THE CAR
NICHOLAS POV
It's not even been 10 minutes in this car with Maya and already I can't wait to get rid of her for the day. Maya's been behaving like a typical wife today. Off course she literally overdoing things to irritate me even more, being concerned, caring and behaving as if nothing is wrong between us. This type of care and concern is something that I'm not used to. Something that I don't want to get used to. For a man like me to have feelings means having a weakness and giving my enemies a way to bring me down.
" There.. Now get out.. I'm getting late..!! "
Is exactly what I say as I stop in front of the gates without even looking at her.
But as if determine to make things harder for me, Maya just pulls me near her looking right in my eyes with our noses touching each other and our lips being just inches away. With her sudden action I feel my heart beating even more rapidly which intensifies even more as she moves her nose from mine to my neck, plants a very soft and warm kiss on my cheek and then proceeds to take a deep breath from my neck. And I hear her say as her lips are literally near my ear ;
" Your perfume is intoxicating.. I love it.. "
Having said that she pulls herself away from me the next second and as she steps out of the car she says;
" Byee Nicholas.. I'll see you later..!! "
As soon as she closes the door, all I know is speeding the car away to get as far as possible from that dangerous woman.
VALENTINO VILLA
THE WEEKEND
PAST MIDDAY
MAYA POV
The entire week has been a very unusual and tiring one for me as while trying to frustrate Nicholas, I am myself getting frustrated as well from time to time, though I've been perfectly able to hide mine from Nicholas. As I had promised myself, I made sure that Nicholas gets as troubled as I got the day he told me that we supposedly 'slept' together. That day my entire world came crashing on me almost killing me. Not because I thought that it was the first time I interacted sexually with someone.. With Nicholas.. But because I seriously thought that I forced Nicholas to get physical with me. Saying that after Gracy left that day, I returned again to the CCTV room to see how much more I had embarrassed myself in front of Nicholas after getting drunk. And after all what I have seen happen in the corridor, the living room and the kitchen, I felt ashamed of my behavior. And the way I saw myself ordering and bossing around with Nicholas in my drunk state made me question myself whether what he said about us sleeping together is true or not.
On one side hell broke loose on me that day I spent each and every second in sheer panic while waiting for Nicholas to return home from work while Nicholas on the other side was enjoying himself teasing me about this.
And when I realized that Nicholas was in fact joking with me, trust me I was soo very much pissed at him, that I could have actually kicked him a few times without even regretting it later. But when I realized that he was enjoying himself by getting me physically worked up, my mind suddenly because very clear as to how i am going to torture him. Just like he was on my mind the entire day tormenting me, even I was going to do the same to him.
When I returned back to room, I took some time to sort out my entangled thoughts, during which I remembered what Wesley once told me; ' Nicholas does not know what care and concern are because the only one who genuinely loved and cared for him died a very long time ago. After that he never allowed anyone to close to him for someone to care or be concerned for him. It's more like he's scared of being loved and cared for. Today love, care and concern are just useless, weakening and unnecessary terms for him. '

To which my dear husband is apparently allergic to...
My weapons against him.
At first I have to admit that I wasn't really sure whether it would work or not. So I decided to give it a try the very next day itself and dudeeee.... With such a little of care, closeness and flirting on day one and Nicholas has literally doing everything to avoid me in the last few days. While he's been disturbed with me, me on the other hand I have been pretty much chilled out as I've been able to live up to my revenge.
" What are you thinking..??? "
Gracy asks me as she puts a cup of tea in front of me as she sits next to me on the sofa making herself comfortable with her own cup in her hand.
"Just thinking about the happenings.. I really thought that maybe I'll feel bad about doing all this to Nicholas and stop.. but frankly speaking instead of bad for him, I'm feeling nice seeing him getting worked up because of me..!! "
I reply my bestie what's actually going on in my head.
I see her analyzing my facial expressions and then Gracy says after few seconds;
" Frankly speaking even I wasn't really sure that you'll be able to pull this off. I was also thinking of preparing a back up plan just in case ... But I'm very happy that I was wrong.. I'm very happy that you did it all by yourself.. Though I still feel that for all what Nick did to you, you're still being lenient .. Too lenient with him.. But if you're happy with this way, then so am I...!!! "
Knowing that Gracy is always with me and happy for me, I send a happy blessed prayer for the blessing of having her in my life and then I ask her with a smirk;
" Anyways.. let's leave Nicholas now.. you tell me what's going on with you and Roman now..?? "
" Really Maya..!!! You really wanna play dumb with me..?? You very well what we've decided.. I've already told you every single thing that we've talked about that night. And I'm damn sure that even Roman must have talked to you about this..!! After all he just loves his sister so much..!! So don't pretend okay..!! "
Gracy says knowing that I'm purposely teasing her despite knowing everything.
Apparently after sorting things out, Gracy and Roman have concluded that whatever took place between them happened in the moment of heat till they realized what happened and took control of the situation. And after talking, they decided to let go of things and continue as friends.
' Friends..!!! '
Yaa right..
After seeing how Gracy and Roman respond to each other when they are near definitely indicates what type of friends she's trying to convince me.. Or should I just say convince herself that..
For once taking matters in my hand and also to confirm whether she's sure about her feelings, I say in a playful way yet without beating around the bush;
" Yaa... I know.. but I still wanna to ask you something..!! "
Hearing me, she just raises her eyebrows in a what expression as I continue;
" Tujhe pakka yaqeen hai na ki tera meri behne se meri devrani bane ka koyi plan nahi hai naa..? (Are you sure that you really don't want to or are not planning to become my sister-in-law from sister.?)
I mean... Roman's a great guy... Unlike his brother.. "
Hearing me, Gracy just glares at me while shouting my name and throwing a cushion at me;
" MAYAAAAAAAAA..!! "
Dodging the cushion, I say as I laugh;
" Kyaaa.. (What..) I'm just guessing.. "
As I finish talking, I get this weird bizarre feeling again and I tell Gracy;
" Nicholas is here..!! "
" How do you know that.?? "
Comes the most normal question from her as I look at her not really knowing how to reply her.
Taking a moment to formulate an answer, I say seconds later;
" I don't know.. each time Nicholas is near me, I get this weird feeling.. Why.?? Even I don't know.. Guess.. that man has confused me ever since he's entered my life. Anyways let me get back to work. I still have to continue to be nice and haunt him just like I promised him. "
Saying that I get up from my place and walk towards the entrance of the villa and open the door. I stand right here only with a bright welcoming smile as I say;
" Heyyy... Hiii..... I wasn't really expecting you at this time...!! "
" I know.. But what to do.. I had something very important for you..!! "
He replies in his normal cold uncaring voice as we walk towards each other as I keep looking at him without breaking the eye contact as I say ;
" Nothing can be more important that you Nicholas..!! "
I say marking the start of the torture session as I stand right in front of him and bringing my face near to his making my cheek touch his as I exclaim while taking a deep breath from his neck inhaling his intoxicating scent ;
" God I just love your perfume..!! "
I hear Nicholas answer in a tired comfortable way as I pull myself back looking right at him with a smile ;
" Don't worry pumpkin, I've already made sure that you also have one like this in your room. Anyways.. I have a surprise for you..!! "
" But the one in my room isn't as good as the one on your neck..!!
And what surprise are talking about..?? "
I overdo it as required and then question him as Nicholas guides the way out and he replies in a very confident way :
" Why don't you see it yourself..!! Come..!! "
Purposing holding his hand, I walk alongside him as I keep wondering as to what he's up to right now but nothing specific comes to my mind. Walking a little away, as I see his surprise I stand in my place completely shocked. For the first few seconds, I'm not even process what's in front of my eyes, but once I'm clear about everything.
" Do you like your surprise.? "
I hear Nicholas say as I look at Nicholas who just gives a warm smile and supporting look and the next second I know running in that direction as I shouting happily;
" Babbyyyyyyyyyyyy...!!!!!! "
I run towards my little brother who standing right in front of me looking at me equally happy and excited as I hug him and kiss him all over the face.
" I love you Dii..!! Bunny missed you all so much..!! "
My little boy says as he hugs me back as tight as he can and I instinctively say;
" I love you too Bunny.. and we missed you more..!! "
Then finally composing myself from the excitement of seeing my bunny, I finally look at Nicholas who's still standing there only looking at us. And I ask Nicholas;
" How did you manage to convince his school to let him come..?? They had refused to send Bunny home during the month.. How did you bring him here then.? "
" C'mon Maya.. I'm Nicholas Valentino... I've got my own contacts. As from this month only, Bunny will come back home every two weeks to spend the weekend and not once a month. "
Nicholas answers me very calmly as he comes near us and picks up Bunny and continues;
" Well, now get Bunny's bags and come till then we'll go and see Gracy. "
And then Nicholas walks inside the villa with the little boy with me following them after having taking Bunny's bag.
As expected, Gracy got super happy seeing Bunny and we all spent the weekend together as none of us had anything too important to attend.
As time passed during the weekend, it didn't took me long to realize that the actual reason why Nicholas convinced Bunny's school authorities to let him come back home to us is actually just a way adapted by Nicholas to keep me busy and away from him. And off course, once having realized that, I got back to my small Nicholas torture sessions.
A MONTH LATER
ABOUT MIDDAY
VALENTINO VILLA
THIRD PERSON POV
With the valentine week going on, things have been going on very normal. As Maya has promised Nicholas, she's literally been on his mind most of the time although Nicholas pretended that nothing like that is happening. Maya on the other hand has kept her little act still going as she knows that Nicholas is getting uncomfortable with her sudden care, concern and the flirting behavior of hers. However the previous night turned out to be an unexpectedly calm and serene one as they had both been together talking about their mothers after all it turned out their mothers shared the same date of birth.
Right now, completely irritated by Luke and his wife's actions which he saw at their work place when he went to pick Maya for lunch, Nicholas returned home earlier than usual and stormed straight to his own room. The way he headed to his own was enough for this staff to understand that their boss was in a very bad mood and it would be best to keep a safe distance from him for a while.
HOURS LATER
THE EVENING
THIRD PERSON POV
Unaware of the sudden visit of Nicholas to the NGO, the girls continued with their routine and continued with the preparations of the upcoming event that the NGO is hosting for valentine's day for the orphanage's kids. This event is held annually by the founders of the NGO that is Mr & Mrs Singh as a way of showing their love and gratitude towards those kids who gave them a reason after they lost their son. This event has all the kids, teachers, workers, volunteers and everyone concerned participate in making cards, small gifts, named cause gifts as well, writing/learning songs and poems for each other, a play, a dance party and competition and some other activities.
After a tiring day at their workplace, the girls are finally now at the Valentino Villa and talking about all the happening during this week. Nicholas on the other hand is still not in a nice mood but has finally come out of his room and heading downstairs to get himself a cup of much needed coffee. As he walked near Maya's room to go stairs, he heard the girls taking his name as the door wasn't completely closed and as his curiosity took him over, he wanted to know what his wife and sister-in-law were saying about him so he leant near the door peeking inside and saw the girls lying casually on the bed as they continued talking;
" Don't get any ideas Gracy..!! I just told you why I'm doing this card for Nicholas..!! "
Maya says as Nicholas listens silently feeling happy about he just heard.
Maya's preparing a card for him? But why.? And then Nicholas realized that Valentine's Day is coming up. Is what goes in Nicholas' mind after what he heard.
Suddenly his thoughts get disturbed as he hears Gracy's voice;
" Okay.. I know that bit.. Now on a serious note tell me something ..!! "
As Gracy says, she gets up from the lying position and sits there only and as Maya senses the seriousness in Gracy's voice and she gets up as well and look at her as Gracy talks again as she holds Maya's hands;
" From some I've noticed that You and Nicholas have come close to each other. I mean in the beginning, you didn't even liked him, his presence but nowadays you've grown so familiar and used to him and him being anywhere near you.
I mean.. Can it be that... Okay I'll be straight with you on this. Is there a possibility that you've started to like.. or love Nicholas..?? "
Gracy finally voices out her biggest fear regarding Maya right now as she knows that Nicholas is not as good and innocent as Maya is and she doesn't want Maya to undergo the situation of loving someone who doesn't even care about her.
Hearing this question, all of the trio's hearts start beating faster than usual as they think about the upcoming answer.
But the suspense doesn't last long as Maya says with Gracy and Nicholas's attention completely on her despite the girls being unaware of the latter's presence near the door.
" Are you even serious right now Gracy..?? Why will you even think that i'll fall in love with Nicholas.? "
