"Sigh... This is such a long day" Shinobu said to herself while walking back to the butterfly estate. She jumped on top of the front gate instead of opening it as usual.
Shinobu then walks toward inside of the mansion before she heard a ruckus from other rooms. It seems it's coming from a patient room. "Soo cold! That's such a cold thing to say" Shinobu heard a voice of a boy.
"You don't know how good you have it!" she heard another voice which is very familiar. It's Aoi's. From the sound of it, she's scolding someone.
Shinobu decided to check up on them and goes to the room. She opened up the door and entered before she found a boy sitting on the stool while saying he's terrified of the Hashira.
Shinobu heard what the boy heard and decided to tease the poor boy. "Hello!" Shinobu greeted loudly from the back of the boy.
The boy jumped from the shock "Hashira! Lady Kocho!" the boy said feeling dread. "Hello!" Shinobu greeted the boy again.
The boy bow himself in front of Shinobu with respect (fear), "Oh hello! Goodbye!" the boy said before running away out of the room and closed the door immediately.
Shinobu just watched before smiling to herself, "Well that was fun hehe" Shinobu said to herself before facing the three boys in front of him.
~With Kanae~
Kanae is feeling better now, she already took enough rest to replenish her energy for the day. Kanae walked out of her room and began walking around the manor.
Kanae found Aoi who is walking with a basket filled with laundry. "Hey Aoi, do you need any help?" Kanae asked watching Aoi doing it by herself.
"Oh! You're awake master Kanae! And no, I'm fine by myself, thank you for your concern" Aoi said. Kanae sighed when she heard Aoi calling her master, "Aoi, I already told you many times not to call me master. We are family and it feels weird with you calling me master"
"Sorry master Kanae, I'm already used to calling you that. Anyway I have work to do, soo pardon me" Aoi said. However before she could go, Kanae asked another thing, "Aoi, is Shinobu already back?"
"Yes, master Shinobu already returned and she's currently at one of the patients room" Aoi said before she leave Kanae alone.
Soo the Hashira meeting already ended. She has to find Shinobu and ask for the details about the meeting. Kanae walked towards patients room and checked few.
She hasn't still found Shinobu. Suddenly, Kanae heard a door slam. "Lady Kocho is soo scary..." Kanae heard before she found a boy sweating while taking an air.
Kanae approached the boy before asked, "Is everything alright? You seems terrified" Kanae asked looking at the boy condition right now.
However the boy becomes paler right now after she heard Kanae asking him. "Oh my! You're getting pale, please wait here. I'll get Shinobu" Kanae said.
"No, No, you don't have to Lady Kocho! I'm fine. You don't have to call for the other Lady Kocho!" The boy said before running away.
Kanae watched the boy's behaviour with a questionable look on her face before shrugged. Kanae then opened the door which the boy slamed earlier and finally found Shinobu.
It seems like Shinobu is talking to 3 boys in front of her. Kanae just waited for her sister to finish until she called her. "Hey Shinobu..."
Shinobu turned her attention to Kanae, "Nee-san, what are you doing?you're supposed to rest right now" Shinobu said with a clear concern on her voice.
"I think I have enough rest for today. I'm sure you know it's actually not good to rest for too long" Kanae reassured. Shinobu just sighed after hearing her sister.
"Anyway Shinobu, I want to hear about the meeting. Is there anything that you could tell me?" Kanae asked. "Let's just talk in another room, Nee-san" Shinobu said.
Kanae just nodded at her sister. Then Shinobu turn her attention back to the boys, "we will begin your rehabilitation training later. Oh, and Zenitsu! Please eat your medicine." Shinobu told them.
Shinobu then walked out of the room. "Goodluck with your recovery" Kanae said to the boys in the room before following Shinobu.
A certain yellow haired boy is blushing by himself, 'Both of them are very beautiful~ This is such a paradise~' the boy thought before giggling to himself.
"Uhhh Zenitsu? Are you all right?" Asked Tanjirou weirded with Zenitsu's behavior. Meanwhile a boy with a boar mask which is Inosuke just stay silent laying on the bed...
~2 Weeks Later~
There's a few things have been going on at the butterfly Estate. For starters, Kanae was shocked after Shinobu told her about Tanjirou's condition. She didn't expect that Tanjirou is travelling with her sister which is a demon.
She's also flabbergasted when Shinobu told Kanae about Nezuko, a friendly and docile demon who never harmed or devoured any human yet. This filled Kanae with hope as she has a dream which someday, human being able to live peacefully alongside demons.
Shinobu also revealed to Kanae about someone helping the corps in the shadows without anyone knowing about his identity except Oyakata-sama.
Shinobu told exactly what Kagaya has told the pillars that this guy is the reason that the demons have become more less for years. Kanae was astounded after she heard about this.
Who could this person be that managed to contribute such feat by himself?
Another thing that's going on are Tanjirou, Zenitsu and Inosuke already started their rehabilitation training.
At first it was Tanjirou and Inosuke only. Zenitsu didn't join since he hasn't fully recovered yet. He always watched as both Tanjirou and Inosuke always came back exhausted and bedraggled causing him worried about what could the rehabilitation training be?
However the next day after he finds out about the rehabilitation training in more details which there are 3 parts.
A massage to loosen the body, reflex training with Kanao involving medicated bath inside teacups, and whole body training, which is essentially tag, with Kanao and Aoi.
Zenitsu was mad at Tanjirou and Inosuke after Aoi explained the rehabilitation training to him. Zenitsu takes his friends aside and chastises them, annoyed that they had been "fooling around" with girls but had come back to the room looking so miserable.
After the three of them finished argue (Zenitsu with Inosuke more precisely), the three of them went back to training. Zenitsu easily succeeded in all of the rehabilitation training regiment.
Inosuke doesn't want to be left in the dust by Zenitsu since his hatred of losing. Both of them managed to pass the rehabilitation training with Aoi as their opponent. Tanjirou is the only one left behind right now.
However even with both of their success over Aoi, it's a different story with Kanao. They never passed when facing Kanao either in reflex training or the whole body training.
Zenitsu and Inosuke continue to try beating Kanao for the next few days however it was futile. Both of them give up on the training with Tanjirou the only one persevere, but is unable to make any progress.
Kanao is clearly on a different level from any of them. Tanjirou never give up trying to win over Kanao for the next few days but it still has the same results. He still lose to her.
It all went the same until Naho, Sumi and Kiyo told Tanjirou about total concentration breathing. They explain that the Hashira and Kanao are capable of doing this, and ask him to continue to try hard at his training.
Tanjirou inspired by their words, vows to do total concentration breathing. And since this, he keeps on trying to constantly use total concentration breathing.
However, he was unable to do so due to intense pain. Tanjirou being determined to succeed vows to keep on training hard. He is progressing little by little.
Right now, Tanjirou continue trying to maintain total concentration breath. While he doing this, Naho, Sumi and Kiyo watched silently as he continue work hard.
They watched as Tanjirou controlled his breath before he collapsed on the ground. It's probably from the pain of trying to maintain total concentration breathing. Tanjirou then slowly stand up from the ground.
The girls continue to spectate as Tanjirou still goes on training. "Master Tanjirou is working hard every day!" Kiyo said in admire. "Yes! Let's bring him some rice balls, okay?" Sumi said. "Good idea! And also..."
"Umm girls? What are you three doing?"
The three of them screamed from the shock before looking at the one who asked them. It's just Kanae looking at the three of them right now with a look of wonder.
"Ara~, I didn't mean to scare the three of you. Sorry hehe" Kanae said apologetically. The three of them collected themselves and said they are fine.
Kanae then finally saw Tanjirou. She then faced the girls asking them what Tanjirou is doing. The three of them told her that Tanjirou is trying to maintain Total concentration breathing.
10 minutes later, Tanjirou is sitting on the veranda eating rice balls while Naho, Sumi, Kiyo and Kanae sitting in front of him.
They also brought out training gourds. Naho, Sumi and Kiyo explained to Tanjirou about the gourds like how Kanao improved her breathing technique by blowing the gourds when being trained by Kanae and Shinobu.
Tanjirou thought that the gourds are meant to make out some sound. He was shocked when Kiyo told him that the gourds are meant to be exploded using breath only. Kanae just told Tanjirou that it was true and it's an effective training method.
Kiyo then explained that the gourds get bigger and bigger as he progress more. Then they showed the size of gourd that Kanao is currently right now.
Tanjirou eyes become wide and his mouth hang loose. How could a petite girl as Kanao could make a gourd that huge explode.
Kanae seemed able to read Tanjirou's mind, "It's actually not difficult Tanjirou after you mastered on total concentration breathing. I believe you'll be able to do it with how hard you are training. Here, let me show you" Kanae said as she stand up and hold the gourd.
Kanae blew inside the gourd and it instantly exploded to pieces. Tanjirou has no words to say except, "I'LL GIVE IT MY ALL".
~Fifteen days later~
Tanjirou has never stopped training in the past days. He has been pushing himself nonstop. Tanjirou repeated doing his training like how his teacher, Sakonji Urokodaki pounded him.
He made the area around the butterfly estate as a training field. Kanae and Shinobu have watched Tanjirou doing his own training for few days.
Shinobu didn't mind Tanjirou using the house as a training ground. She already know what kind of training Tanjirou did and she approves of it.
However there's one type of the training irritated her eyes. Tanjirou running on top of the fences. Kanae didn't mind about this but Shinobu does. Those fences are not meant to be a track.
Kanae knew about Shinobu's displeasure and told her sister to just let it slide. Shinobu just said she will try to bear it. She didn't pay for the fences with her sister just soo people could run on it.
It's already night right now. The moon stood brightly in the sky. Tanjirou is currently sitting on the roof by himself. He is meditating to control his breath
'Concentrate! You need to concentrate!' Tanjirou thought to himself trying to focus. "---Jirou" Tanjirou however continue to focus with himself.
"Tanjiro Kamado!!" Tanjirou heard it more loud and he instantly opened his eyes, "Yes?" Tanjirou said while being startled.
"Geez, you're such a work you know. I already called your name a few times. Maybe I should check on your hearings." Shinobu said with clear annoyance.
"I-I'm sorry!" Tanjirou said while blushing. Shinobu is very close in front of his face. "Ara ara~, what's with the loud noise in the night? Shinobu, I heard your voice from the house calling Tanjirou name" they heard another voice.
Kanae suddenly appeared out of nowhere sitting next to Tanjirou. Shinobu faced her sister, "It can't be helped Nee-san, I called him a few times but it only falls on deaf ears" Shinobu said. Kanae just laughed lightly hearing this.
Kanae then looked at Tanjirou "It seems you are working hard as usual Tanjirou. Even though your friends went off somewhere..."
"Don't you feel lonely all by yourself?" Kanae asked. "No! Because once I've mastered it myself, I can teach them too!" Tanjirou said being determined.
"You have a beautiful soul, don't you?" Kanae said. Tanjirou truly care about his friends and not only himself. "Umm, why did you call for me earlier Lady Shinobu?" Tanjirou said facing Shinobu.
"Well, I'm here to talk about your training..." Shinobu said. "My training?" Tanjirou said looking dumbfounded. "Shinobu, you don't have to scold Tanjirou about him running on the fences" Kanae said.
"It's not about that Nee-san!" Shinobu said annoyed at her sister's assumption. Shinobu turned her attention back to Tanjirou.
"It's true that it irritates me when you running on the fences... But that's not the point right now." Shinobu said. "I've noticed that you work hard in your training Tanjirou..."
"But you've been working way too hard..."
"Huh? I'm sorry but I don't understand what are you saying Lady Kocho" Tanjirou said in confusion. "Yes Shinobu, even I don't understand what you are saying" Kanae told her sister.
Shinobu is very annoyed right now, "You didn't even let me finish!" Shinobu said in irritation. Both Kanae and Tanjirou immediately apologised to her. Both of them knew about Shinobu's temper.
Shinobu just sighed, "As I said before, you've been working hard, however a few times I saw you pushing yourself too far."
"You need to take care of your body more properly Tanjirou. You need to balance the amount of training equal with the amount of rest you need."
"There's a difference between improving your body and destroying your body you know." Shinobu advised. Tanjirou nodded and said thank you to Shinobu.
"Tonight is such a peaceful night, the moon is very beautiful" Kanae said drawing both of the other two attention. The three of them looked up in the sky enjoying the view.
"Say Tanjirou, do you mind telling me about your journey? I'm interested to hear about you and your sister. Both of you did the impossible which is human and demon living by each other side" Kanae asked.
Tanjirou nodded and told everything about his journey like how he trained with Sakonji Urokodaki. How his sister were asleep for soo long before finally waking up after he passed the final selection.
Tanjirou then told his journey after becoming a demon slayer. He told both of the sisters with how he met both Zenitsu and Inosuke.
"Have you meet any other people Tanjirou?" Kanae asked in curiosity. "Ah, yes. I also met a doctor that goes by Tamayo. She's really good at healing others." Tanjirou said not revealing that Tamayo is a demon.
"There's also this one guy I met! he's soo mysterious. However he is actually nice because he helped me in the past" Tanjirou told them.
"If i remembered correctly, his name is (Y/N). I have only met him twi--" Tanjirou stopped his sentence as something entered his nose. He picked up an angry scent from his nose.
Tanjirou looked at both of the sisters and saw them with wide eyes. Shinobu instantly hold both of Tanjirou's shoulders and looked at him straight in the eyes.
"Tanjirou! Where did you actually met him! Tell us Tanjirou!" Shinobu demanded. "I-I met him at Asakusa city for the first time. The second time I met him is at Mount. Natagumo" Tanjirou told them truthfully.
"Did he said anything to you?" Shinobu continue to ask. "He did not, the first time we met, he merely helped me. The second time, he helped me kill a demon and we finally introduced ourselves."
"Listen closely Tanjirou! I want you to stay away from him. He's not what you think he is!" Kanae said with a serious tone in her voice.
"My sister is right Tanjirou. Stay away as far as possible from him. He's very dangerous. He may be deceiving you!" Shinobu told Tanjirou.
Tanjirou is shocked and confused right now. He can pick up the scent of hatred from both of the sisters after he mentioned about (Y/N).
It seems like both Lady Kanae and Lady Shinobu have some kind history with (Y/N). But what could it be? It seems to be bad with how the sisters reacted....
