The ball room is the biggest room of all with huge windows. It has high ceiling where the chandeliers are hanging in shiny gold color. The wall is white, and you can find some candlestick with candles on it. There was a red carpet all over the wooden floor. In the middle of the room is empty but there are set tables and chairs on the edge. On the tables have gold cutlery, beautifully folded paper napkins, porcelain plates, glass cups and candles.

The most annoying thing is waiting for your name to be pronounced. Then walk down in a high heel shoes on twenty-five flight of stairs. During this time, you must smile and try not to fall down the stairs. Believe me, it's not easy.

"I greet everyone who managed to come to tonight my daughter's name day party. I hope you will have a good time. The drink available on the tables and our waiters will offer for you too. The dishes will be served later, but small snacks are available from the waiters who I have already mentioned. And now, it gives me great pleasure to introduce my only daughter. The princess. Amanda K. Costigan." My dad said.

"Finally!" I whispered.

I try to step slowly and look ahead as it should be. Everybody looking at me. Someone seriously while someone smiled, or another people looked surprised. I used to people's gaze. When I got down, I let out the kept inside air. I walked to my father with a fake smile on my face. I'm a little bit nervous. My dad smiled reassuringly at me. It seemed like he was a little bit nervous like me and excited. He started speaking again.

"As we do in every year, we start with the father's daughter dance."

He bowed before me. I puked and nodded my head. He held out his hand to me and I accepted it. The musicians started playing the Wiener Blut from Johann Strauss and we started dancing. Towards the end, several people joined us. At the end of the song my dad bowed and without waiting for an answer he walked over to my mom to asked her to dance. I wasn't left alone for long because I was asked to dance, and I couldn't say no. If I do it, this show my family in a wrong color. A talked to some people while we danced. We talked about me or their family, the politics, or the economic situation. There were also recurring questions like how tall I am, how I am standing with learning, am I already waiting for the coronation. My last favorite was, do I already have a husband candidate? This question surprised me. I never expected this question. I think I looked like who faint at any moment.

"Are you Ok?" Miguel Diaz asked who the king of Mexico.

"Yes, yes. I just need to rest a bit. Excuse me." I said and left him.

I was looking for a waiter as fast as I could. Jason looked up at me when I approached him. He looked at me as weird as the aforementioned man and handed me a glass of wine without questioning. I drank like I hadn't been drinking anything in about a year.

"Are you Ok? Only in moderation. If you get drunk, I'll be fired. I'll kidnap you and sell you as a slave on the black market." He tried to say it serious but there was a smile on the edge of his mouth. I started laughing but I touched my head because it started hurt.

"Take a seat please. You look like Snow White in a bad way." He said.

"Jason you're so kind. Did I say that before?" I said sardonically but I did what he said.

"No, not yet." After a little silence he spoke again. "Will you be okay alone, or will I stay here?" I looked at him imploringly. He sighed and sat down next to me.

"Thank you." I smiled at him.

"But if your parents really will fire..." He couldn't finish the sentence because I intervened.

"They won't fire you. Calm down. I felt bad and you stayed here to take care of me." I said.

"Nice save." He looked at me appreciatively.

"It's the truth. You know that too." I took another glass of wine from the tray.

"You already look better." He said.

"Thanks to you." I said with a smile.

"Not really. Thanks to wine." He started laughing.

"But if you're not here, I don't know what I should have done. You are my savior." He was already grinning. "What?" I looked at him questioningly.

"I waited for you to continue, but that way I see I have to pull the words out of you." He shook his head with an unscratchable grin on his face.

"In addition, he is still pompous." I rolled my eyes.

"You want to say handsome and attentive." He grinned.

"I think I said it right." I said pretending to be thinking.

"Hm." He folded his arms. He looked offended.

"Don't do it! Grow up!" He held out his tongue. I sighed. "Let's talk about something else. How are you?" I smiled at him.

"Really? It's your name day party and you want to speak about me? You really sick." Now I folded my arms as he did it before. "I'm sorry princess."

"Don't call me like that." I said offended.

"Why? How should I call you? He asked.

"Amanda. This is my name" I said.

"I know. I'm not stupid but I'm not able to say that." I frowned.

"Why?" I asked curiously.

"None of the staff can call on your name. Just the most suitable people." He said.

"It's weird." I said in amazement.

"Haven't you noticed?" He asked.

"I usually pay attention what they want to say not how they call me." I explained.

"It's fair." He said.

"Everyone deserves to be called by my name. You too." I need to talk about this with my parents when I have the chance.

"Thank you, princess. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to leave you already. I still need my head. It will happen the king take my head off because I am talking with you. Putting a joke aside, it will soon be seven p.m., which we both know what it means."

"Thank you everything." I said with a smile.

"Don't have to thank me. That is my job. Well not exactly, but I'm glad I was able to help." He stood up, bowed, and before grabbing the tray, he put a glass of champagne on the table in front of me and walked away. He gives the other glass of champagne the guests.

"I finally found you. I thought something happened with you. Come to our table! This is not your seat." My mom said in an intolerant voice.

"Alright." I sighed. I stood up, grabbed the glass, and followed her.

"Can we talk about something?" I asked shyly.

"You know this isn't the best time to talk. We can talk later but your father's speech is more important now". She told me not looking at me either. I guess this conversation will never happen.

After I got to my chair, my father started speaking.

"I apologize to our dear guests, could I ask for a little attention?" He said, wait a minute and speak again. "As usual, we start with a toast before dinner. Let me introduce my wife on my right, who is already well known to everyone and my on left side my lovely daughter, the next queen on the throne. We weren't really used to giving such a big gift to a name day, but we couldn't wait for it. It was a great honor for me to introduce the candidate of the husband of our choice for her. Our dear friend's son is Felipe XV el Grande. The wedding will be held in six months later where we welcome everyone." He finished his speech. Everyone was looked shocked. Mainly me. Even the smile froze on my face for a moment.

"Long live the newlyweds!" The king of Mexico said. He is Felipe XV el Grande's father. Where is his son? I don't know.

Everybody raised their glasses and started drinking.

So far, I've been smiling because I knew it wouldn't last long but that's more than enough. I put my glass down on the table. I'd like to throw it to something, but I mustn't do it. I started walking towards the stairs nervously until every guest started talking about the information what we heard. I took off my uncomfortable shoes on the way.

"Amanda where are you going?" My dad asked.

Slowly everyone felt silent, but I didn't answer. I just went ahead and wept. The tears rolled down my face, not bothered themselves that I was wearing makeup that was smearing. Well, I didn't really care what I looked like. As I walked in the middle of the stairs, I heard footsteps behind me. I started to walk faster as much as I could. When I got up, I started running already. To make matters worse, I was wearing stockings without shoes. I was almost there but someone took my arm. I turned slowly. I didn't look up. I could barely see anything through the tears. I could only feel that the unknown people hug me.
