Next day morning .at the police station.
I walked inside and saw jay and Antonio standing there, talking to each other.
Antonio was the first to notice me "hey, Flo"
I smiled "hey Tonio"
Jay smiled confused "hey, what are you doing here?"
Me "I have a meeting with someone"
He nodded confused "okay.with who?"
Suddenly Voight stepped out of his office "with me."
Jay looked at Voight before looking at me even more confused .
Voight nodded "Florence"
I nodded "hey"
Then I walked into the office and Voight closed the door behind me.
Me "please tell me you got something"
Voight sighed, shaking his head "I am sorry, Flo"
I shook my head and drove a hand through my hair "damn it"
Voight "I tried making up different solutions but no matter what, the consequences that would happen to you and to your loved ones if it backfires are not worth it. I am trying, Florence, i really am. I just need more time. I can't do anything without making it worse."
I asked fake amused "worse? Voight, Kelly and I nearly got into a car accident last night – well, more like this morning"
Voight froze "what?"
Me "yeah, it was around one in the morning, we were driving back from the beach when a car suddenly switched over to our lane"
Voight "are you two okay?"
I nodded "yeah, thank god nothing happened. Kelly was able to steer the car out of the way but..Voight, this has to stop"
Voight "are you sure it was Kol? Did you see him? What about the car?"
I shook my head "it didn't have a plate, it was too dark to see the driver. Voight, but I'm so sure it was him"
He nodded "and I believe you, I do, but I can't do anything without proof"
I looked down.
Voight "are you really okay?"
I shook my head "I'm far from being okay"
At the Firehouse.
I walked into the locker room and saw Casey slamming his locker door shut.
Me "you good?"
Casey sighed and showed me a velvet box "i thought you were Gabby"
My jaw dropped "you still haven't given that to her? Casey"
Casey "Every time i try, something get in the way"
Me "do you want me to give it to her?"
Casey "i had it all figured out before that nutjob with the gun showed up. "
Me "well, just go out there and give it to her "
Casey "i want to make it big"
I sighed, whining "I always forget how romantic you are"
Casey "and here i thought you fell for me because of my good looks"
I nodded "true"
In Kelly's bunk room.
I knocked on the door and Kelly looked at me nodding.
Then I walked in and closed the door.
Kelly "what do you need?"
Me "am I interrupting something?"
Kelly "just paperwork"
I nodded.
Kelly "you okay? you look kinda pale?"
Me "well, I am perfect. Not sure about you though after I tell you what I have to say"
He looked at me confused.
Me "do you remember Kol? "
Kelly "your old friend?"
I nodded "yeah"
He nodded "yeah, what's with him?"
I looked down.
Kelly "babe, what's wrong?"
I sighed.
Kelly "you wanted to tell me something. What was it? Is it about him? Is he bothering you?"
I looked at him.
Kelly "would you please say something?"
I took a deep breath "just..just do me a favor and stay away from him, okay? if you see him anywhere or hear anything from him, stay away from him. "
Kelly "why?"
Me "do you trust me?"
Kelly nodded "of course"
Me "do you trust me enough to let me handle it myself and be satisfied with that I asked you to do?"
Kelly "yes. But as your boyfriend who worries about you? no. you are not walking out of that door without at least giving me more information"
Me "Kol is my ex-fianceè, Kelly"
Kelly's jaw dropped "what did you just say?"
I sighed "I was engaged when I was in Miami."
Kelly "and you're telling me this now?"
Me "it didn't think it mattered since I never thought he'd be stupid enough to show up here"
Kelly "then why did he introduce himself as your old friend to me"
Me "I don't know. Maybe because he knew you'd throw a fit and punch him"
Kelly "so I take it he wants you back"
I nodded "well, that's what he said"
Kelly "do you believe him?"
I shook my head "not really."
Kelly "is there more I should know?"
Me "nothing that matters"
Kelly "well, to know he was your ex fiancée and that he was back mattered since the beginning."
Me "well, I told you, didn't i?"
Kelly "now. After he's been weaseling around in Chicago for weeks"
Me "Kelly, you have nothing to worry about, okay? There is a reason I am not with him"
Kelly "why did you even go to Miami?"
Me "doesn't matter"
Kelly "fine. Then why did you decide to date him?"
Me "because I couldn't have you"
Kelly "and how do you know for sure?"
Me "Because before I got together with Matt you and I had "no strings attached" and then while I was with Matt you and I had a one time "no strings attached ", remember? Or have you forgotten what "no strings attached" mean?"
Kelly "how could i? I've never had "no strings attached "with anyone but you"
Me "are you serious?"
Kelly nodded "yes, Flo, I am, I have never had more sex with the same woman than I have with you"
I smirked "as if"
Kelly shook his head "I'm serious. I mean, we even had sex a couple times after you came back"
I nodded "true"
Kelly nodded "see"
I nodded "okay"
Then I walked to the door.
Kelly "what you think you talking about sex made me actually forget what you said about your ex-fiancee?"
I sighed and turned to him "you're mad, aren't you?"
Kelly "I am mad that you didn't tell me sooner that he's your ex fiancée"
Me "I thought that there was no need to tell you because I thought he was gonna leave again. "
Kelly "and it didn't work out"
Me "of course not. Do you even know me? things never work out the way I want them to"
Kelly "Is he dangerous?"
Me "towards me, no"
Kelly "and you don't want my help?"
Me "I've got it handled"
Kelly "Florence-"
Me "Kelly, I trusted you when you told me you had your crazy ex's handled, okay? I trusted you with Renee Nr.1 who hated me more than anything on this planet because she thought I was too much of a temptation for you even though she was the one who cheated but told her family that you cheated on her with me. Then there was Renee Nr. 2, remember her? The one who hated me too and who after breaking your heart came back pregnant claiming it was your baby while hiding the fact that it was from a one night stand."
Kelly crossed his arms over his chest.
Me "Then there was Brittany, your ex – wife. The one you married because Capp and I bailed on you on the Vegas trip which put you in a mitlife-crisis"
Kelly raised an eyebrow "and why did you even bail on me?"
Me "I was on my period."
He rolled his eyes.
Me "not to forget every other girl you hooked up with over the years who hated me to death"
Kelly "and how much of them did you hate?"
Me "all of them"
He chuckled.
Me "no, I am serious. I wish Shay was here so you could ask her and then she would laugh and tell you the stuff she and I were gossiping about your new girl"
Kelly smiled at the memory of Shay "which is the girlfriend you hated the most?"
Me "I don't even know where to start, Severide. Top 3? Brittany, Renee 1 &2, und that hook up you had with that chick named Tiffany "
Kelly asked confused "which Tiffany?"
Me "the one who had her nipples pierced. "
Kelly asked confused "again; which one"
Me "Kelly, the one with the Christina Piercing"
Kelly chuckled "yeah, the one who put you in your place"
I chuckled "well, I don't know what that was what she did, but I put her in her place. I had no choice. That chick was horrible – I just couldn't stand her"
Kelly "What I don't get is why you hate Brittany, she was the most respectful one towards you. She even ended things because she understand what I felt for you"
Me "I was just jealous. When you came back with that ring on your finger, do you have any idea how stupid I felt? Because that ring on your finger meant that I gave up a relationship for nothing, that you had your fun with me on my account"
Kelly shook his head "it was never like that"
Me "sure as hell felt like it. I know you and I have had our ups and downs before we got together, but I've always trusted you when you told me you were gonna handle your girlfriends. And now I am asking you to trust me handle my ex"
Kelly sighed .
Me "I know you wanna protect me, Kelly, but I can handle it. "
Kelly sighed, nodding "fine. But the second you feel it get out of hand.."
Me "I will tell you"
He nodded "good"

I walked over to Stella who was standing between the trucks. Everyone was either in the bunk room or in the kitchen.
Me "hey, Kidd"
She smiled "hey, how was your date last night?"
Me "amazing"
Kidd "really?"
I nodded "yeah. You know what else is amazing?"
Kidd looked confused.
Me "that you, my best friend, lied to my face more than once"
She froze "what?"
Me "you know, Kol told me something interesting the other day."
Kidd "oh really?"
Me "when he showed up at your house for my address? Yeah, well, he wanted more from you than just my address, didn't he ?"
Kidd "Florence, what are you talking about?"
Me "did you or did not agree to help bring Kelly and me apart?"
Kidd asked shocked "do you really believe him? Are you serious?"
Me "Kol, is a lot of things but he is not a liar. He plays dirty, that's true, but he always plays dirty while using the truth"
Kidd "people change"
I nodded, eying her "damn right they do"
Kidd sighed "he's lying"
Me "I thought that too, you know. But then he said some interesting things that really do make sense now. "
Kidd "Like what"
I shook my head "doesn't matter. Not like the fact that Kelly and I nearly got into a car accident yesterday"
She froze "what?"
Me "of course you told Kol about my plans, and of course you knew he was gonna follow us-"
Kidd shook her head "I never thought he would try to cause a car accident-"
I Asked shocked "Well, what the hell did you think was he gonna do ? give me a kiss?"
Kidd "If I had known he was gonna try and cause a car crash I would've never-"
Me "you should have never told him anything to begin with, Kidd. "
Kidd sighed "He threatened me, Flo, I had no choice"
Me "so you are helping him now?"
Kidd shook her head "I am not. I am playing him to keep myself alive. "
Me "and you couldn't have warned me? "
Kidd "it was too dangerous"
Me "nearly getting killed in an car accident is dangerous too ,don't you think?"
Kidd "you know how Kol is-"
Me "and so do you. which means you should know that he was bluffing when he threatened you. but for some reason you agreed on helping him"
Kidd "like I said, I am playing him. I am pretending to help him break you two apart"
I crossed my arms over my chest "are you sure you're only pretending?"
Kidd "Flo, I'd never-"
I shook my head "I don't know, Kidd. All I know is that you lied. You looked me in the eyes and lied."
Kidd shook her head "I had no choice"
Me "you had the choice to be honest about it when I asked you."
Kidd "where you honest with Severide when he asked you who Kol really was?"
I scoffed, amused "go ahead, tell Severide everything you know. He knows who Kol is and he knows why Kol's back. And he knows I've got it handled. Besides that, it is none of your business to tell Kelly about my relationship with Kol"
Kidd sighed "Flo, I am sorry"
I nodded "I know. But I obviously can't trust you anymore because I don't know what else you're keeping from me"
She nodded "I understand"
I nodded "good"
Then I walked away.
Night. At Molly's.
Gabby and i walked inside and everyone cheered "Surprise!"
She looked around surprised "what is this?"
Kelly "well, it ocured to me you have never had a wedding reception. "
Hermann "a situation that needed rectification"
Everyone laughed.
Casey looked at me "was that you?"
Me "i had help"
Kelly walked through the crowd with a cake and the ring was on it "Ta-da!"
Mouch "speech"
Casey "Speech?"
Gabby shot him a look.
Hermann "all right, jeez. do i gotta do everything around here? All right, look, Dawson, Casey, you two are an example to every one of us. you are proof that love really can conquer all. I mean, maybe you're just too stubborn to be beaten, i mean, Gabby is, anyway. "
everyone chuckled
Hermann "i am serious. When i think back to the first time i saw you two together-"
Gabby made a cut throat sign.
Casey "no no no no no no no no, okay?"
Hermann "no-it was-no"
Casey "i got this"
Hermann "there was a sweetness!"
Gabby "than you"
Casey turned to gabby "i know we've never gotten to do this right, so..."
He put the ring on her finger "i hope you will wear this ring always to remind us both that whatever we've been through, whatever we go through , as long as we do it together, we're the luckiest souls around "
Gabby smiled "Matt Casey, i would be honored"
They kissed and everyone smiled.
Kelly raised his glass "to Casey and Dawson"
Everyone cheered "to Casey and Dawson!"
