I'm Sean Cole, teen singing sensation.
And no, I'm not a jerk like the other ones.
I actually care about my fans. I give money to many charities. I went on many mission trips to Africa.
And tonight, a dream I had since I was a kid was coming true.
Performing in Times Square on New Year's Eve.
I was setting up when two people walked up to me.
It was a man and a woman, both who looked to be in their late 20s.
"Don't worry, we aren't super fans." the woman says.
"We're just in charge of the performances and such." the man says.
"We just need to know what song you're performing." the woman says, tapping her clipboard she was holding with a pen.
Before replying, I gaze at their name tags. One reads Calypso and one reads Leo.
"I'll be performing my song 'Thief'." I reply.
"Thank you!" the man, Leo, says.
The two walk away, and I start talking to someone standing near me.

It was almost time for me to perform, and I was freaking out.
I didn't know whether I could do it or not.
I guess the couple, Leo and Calypso, noticed it, because they came over to me.
"Don't worry." Calypso says. "You'll be fine once you start."
"AND NOW... SEAN COLE!" the announcers voice yells.
I run out, hoping that I don't mess up.

I had just finished my performance, and I was happy and full of energy.
"That was amazing, dude!" Leo yells.
"Thanks." I respond.
I look down and see a little girl, smiling widely. I knew at that instant that it was the couple's daughter.
I kneel down in front of her "Are you a fan of my music?"
"Your music is my favorite!" she yells. "My name's Samantha."
"Well, Samantha," I say hugging her. "I think you're cool."
"Would you mind if I took a picture of you two?" Calypso asked.
"I'd love a picture with this adorable little girl!" I say, smiling.
We posed, and she took the picture.
"Thank you." Samantha says.
"No, thank you." I say.
She smiles and runs to her mom, happy.
I heard my performance playing on a TV, so I ran to see it.
'You're a thief, you were as fast as lightning.
You're a thief, though our love may seem frightening.
You're a thief, and you stole my heart.'
Love song, cliche, I know.
I finished listening, and went to the place that the other performers where.
This turned out to be the best New Years Eve of my life.
