3 YEARS LATER
"AGAIN!!!!"
Kiyi was giving it all she has with her fire bending. Azula is that one teacher where if you fail, you have to try again until you get it right.
"Azula, we have been training for hours, can I please go to the bathroom."
"Not until you get this fire bending form right."
Kiyi tries and tries again, but fails to complete her task.
"Please!!!!!!!!!! I have to go."
"Hmph, very well. But be back here soon and don't go too far."
AZULA POV
Kiyi and I have been traveling all across the globe trying to escape the blood walkers. Yes, after much discussion we have decided to call those men wearing all black the blood walkers. Apparently they can blood bend without a full moon and can trace your scent after they have taken control of you. They took control of me, thankfully not Kiyi. Ahhhhhhh, what am I doing here anyway? I should be back at the Fire Nation, leading my country. But I made a promise that I would get my mother back, our mother. I know what your thinking, why don't you get Team Avatar to help you fend off the blood walkers. Well here is the thing, I tried to but Zuko said that he is helping the avatar in Cranefish town. Everything is so fucked right now. I sit down on one of the big round stones in the ground and think about some things.
"Okay, I'm back Azula. Are we going to continue training."
"No, training is down for today."
END OF POV
Kiyi notices her sister's sad expression on her face and goes over to comfort her.
"Is there anything wrong," Kiyi says
"No, everything is fine," Azula answered.
"I know your lying, come on your my sister after all."
"How did you know, I'm usually good at lying.
Both of them started to laugh together. A moment of happiness between the sisters. Something Azula hasn't felt in a while. After the laughing stopped, Azula sat there is sadness again.
"Kiyi, can I ask you something."
"Sure, what is it."
"Has mother ever told you I love you."
"Yeah, every night when she tucks me in bed."
"Ahhh, I see."
"Why did you ask that question," Kiyi said.
"Well, our mom was still at the palace. She thought that I was a monster. Not once have I heard her say, I love you Azula." Azula then started to form tears in her eyes.
"Azula, don't cry."
"What, crying I'm not crying," Azula said wiping her tears.
Both of them then went back to the cave that they were camping in. Azula was fiddling on some wood with her knife and Kiyi was playing with the toy that she brought. Just then they hear a bunch of footsteps coming their way. Azula runs out of the cave and sees the blood walkers coming towards them.
"Kiyi grab your things, lets go."
Kiyi grabs her things and lets go of the dragon. Azula hops on the dragon and flies away. But then the blood walkers line up and blood bends the dragon making it fall to the ground.
"Uhhh, what happened," Kiyi said.
"Whatever you do, don't leave my sight."
Azula knows that if Kiyi was blood bent. That could mean trouble for both of them. Azula takes cover behind the fallen dragon who still recovering. She shoots out blue fireballs like a catapult to the blood benders knocking half the troops out. Azula then lit a tree on fire causing it to spread. This was a good distraction, cause the smoke gave them a chance to fly away.
"Kiyi grab my hand, were going now."
The dragon got up and Azula and Kiyi were able to fly away from the blood walkers. Azula grabbed her map to pinpoint where to go next. They had to fly far away from their previous location to give them time to rest before the blood walkers show up again. She kept searching and searching, but couldn't find a good spot to hideout for the next couple of months.
"Azula, I'm tired."
"Then go to sleep."
Azula put the map away and grunts.
FEW HOURS PAST
"Ahhhhhhh, why aren't there any good spots anymore."
Just then she sees a village way in the plains of the earth kingdom. She settles down near a forest and hooking up the dragon near a log.
"Stay here buddy."
She then picks up Kiyi who was in deep sleep and starts to walk over to the village. Azula had to be disguised, knowing her reputation after the 100-year war. She walks in the village and sees earth soldiers, horses, and a windmill in the middle of town.
Azula then walks over to one of the men standing near the entrances.
"Excuse me, sir, My sister and I don't have a place to stay, can you help us."
"I will be glad to help you two, let's walk over to my house."
Azula, with Kiyi in her arms, finally reach the man's house. He leads them to a guest room that has 2 cots.
"Thank you sir, you are very kind."
"Anything at all, you can stay as long as you want until you can get yourself back to your feet."
"Thank you."
"What's is your name." The man asks.
"Uhhhh, my name is Mai, this is my sister Ty Lee."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Win."
