Genesis didn't sleep the whole night. She had no reason to.
She kept having flashbacks. The day her parents went to jail. All because she was weak and couldn't kill.
This time things would be different.
So she trained and trained. It kept her mind off of the pain in her head knowing y/n was still there.
In New York word had gotten out that y/n Stark was missing.
Tony was on edge and not doing well mentally so Steve made him stay with Harley while he healed in the hospital.
But Tony had a plan to leave the hospital when they found y/n
Steve Bucky and all other Avengers were on the lookout.
Little did Steve and Bucky know Genesis wanted them to find her.
"Steve I've got a trace going out of the city... could be them" Bucky says on his earpiece com
"Any traces we get we have to follow. I'll come with you" Steve responds
"I'm sorry about all of this steve" Bucky sighs thinking about y/n
"Not your fault buck. It's nobody's fault. I have a feeling y/n knew what she was doing when she left.."
Pietro was running right behind them, he had no trace he just needed y/n back so he would do whatever it takes
Stephen isn't too far behind the super soldiers
Genesis POV
"So you're sure you're ready?" My father asks
"They're dead men walking." I say numbly
"And y/n won't get out right? How does your head feel?" My mother reaches to touch my head but I turn away
"I'm fine... what's the plan anyway? The two of you sit back while I take the blows?" I ask sick of waiting
"No dear. You forget your father and I are trained killers as well, but you are in your prime"
"So I'm doing all the work" I roll my eyes
"We will be next to you the whole time Genesis. So stop being a pain in the ass" my father says
"I've got a trace! We've got some super-soldiers on the way!" My mother smiles wickedly
"Oh lord finally!" I sigh in relief
Genesis wasn't sure why y/n was still even trying to get out.
But y/n knew the whole world was looking for her right now. Not to mention her badass super family was as well. She had to keep fighting for them.
"These are our new weapons" my father opens a case full of very powerful high quality guns
"Revenge is gonna taste so sweet!" My mother cheers grabbing a gun
I grab the guns I'd like.
Last time I couldn't even fight the bastards. This time I plan on beating them down till they beg me to shoot.
"Barnes and Rogers are getting close, as well as that fast kid.. what a traitor" my mother shakes her head
"Let's give them a show huh?" I smirk getting ready to go outside.
"Know that the minute you step outside the police, army, national guard, Air Force, everyone. Will be here. We need to stick to the plan" my father warns
"Yeah, yeah" I nod ignoring him
"We call an escape pod the minute the supersoldiers are dead. If they aren't dead before the national guard starts making moves we have to get out"
"Yep" I say still not listening
"Genesis. I'm serious. We can't play around here."
"God- I know!" I roll my eyes and get up with a smile
Before I know it the supersoldiers are outside.
"I'm going out"
I walk out with weapons strapped to my sides
"So we meet again!" I smile wickedly
"Genesis" Bucky nods
"Genesis, we're asking you to back down now. The whole national guard will be here soon and they will detain hostiles" Steve says
"Don't lecture me. God you sound like my parents" I roll my eyes
"So what do you want?" Bucky asks
"My parents want you dead. Quite frankly so do I. But I won't go down without a fight first" I smile
"Let's do this then" Bucky nods
Steve looks unsure like he's having a battle of conscience. Y/n of course is his daughter
Bucky and I get straight at each other not wasting any time.
The fight is pretty equal considering both of our backgrounds
Steve tries to grab me off of him but I kick him away easily.
I pull out my knife to get a good carve but suddenly Bucky grabs me by the throat with his metal arm.
I gasp for air trying my hardest not to give up.
Then there's a shot
My parents are outside now standing with Guns
The shot hits buckys Metal arm and he drops me
I fall to the ground and get a good stab at his leg
"This is my fight" I growl
"You could've died" my mother shakes her head
"Go back before you do" I yell
Suddenly there's a blue flash and my parents guns are gone
"Didn't see that coming" the fast boy drops the guns and the bullets
I growl in annoyance before going after the boy
Then a shield hits me in the side
I look over at Steve who now seems up to the challenge
"Throw it again" I hold my arms up
He looks at me sternly before whipping it back my way
I grab it mid air and spin around to whip it back his way
"This could all be over you know" Bucky says engaging in a fight with me again
"Not till you're all dead" I challenge
"Is that really what you want? I know y/n is in there" Bucky says
"Shut up" I get a good shot at his jaw
My parents come back with more guns
"Genesis! An escape pod is on its way, there are more of them coming" my mother warns me
I didn't care if the whole Avengers army was on its way. I was not backing down
"I need to do this" I growl fighting off Bucky
"We can shoot the super soldiers down and get out of here. Hydra needs you!"
I ignore them as I grab one of my guns and aim but I get grabbed my Steve who holds me back
"Y/n listen"
"I'm not y/n!" I yell head butting him and getting away
I go to shoot Bucky but then an orange shield surrounds him
"This is not your fight wizard." I roll my eyes
"I am aware. I just wanted to be a reminder for y/n. Because when she kicks your butt you'll never be seen again" he smirks
I get even more angry so I try to shoot at the wizard but the fast boy tackles me down
Suddenly there's a spotlight on the ground
The national guard is here. 2 helicopters fly overhead.
Everyone freezes
I get the fast boy off of me and run out of the light
We spread out the avengers are at least 30 feet away from where my parents and I stand
"Genesis we have to get out of here" My father grips my arm
"I have to finish this." I shake my head
"You can't. It's over"
Steve communicates with the national guard to tell them not to intervene unless they have to.
Genesis May be dangerous but that is still y/n in there.
I get back out there and try to attack Bucky again.
My skills are equal to his so trying to beat him proves to be a challenge.
Bucky grabs me by the throat again as the fast boy grabs any weapons I have on me
"Stop! Drop her now! I'm not afraid to shoot!"
My mother and father stand with guns up aimed on Bucky Steve and Pietro.
Genesis is almost losing consciousness and y/n knows this might be her one chance to take control
But Bucky knows the only way y/n can get out is if Genesis is weakened so his grip tightens
The national guard puts the spotlight on my parents but they don't back down.
They know they need Genesis to complete Hydra so they won't back down.
Bucky drops Genesis and backs away slowly with his hands up
she attempts to crawl back to her parents coughing
"Y/n now!" Strange yells
From inside y/n forces herself into her Astro physical form.
She is able to separate herself and get free
She watches as her body slowly falls to the ground
Y/n goes back into her body and forces Genesis away.
Y/n stands back up now back in control
Tony flies in last second which makes y/n feel even stronger now that he's here
Y/N POV 🌟
I turn to see Steve and Bucky looking at me in awe as they keep their hands up
Strange nods to me proudly
But nobody is prepared for what happens next
"Y/n?" I hear my mother say
I turn to look at them to see their guns are now pointed at me
Genesis' words echo in my head
"Shoot her. She won't hesitate to bring the two of you down again"
"Good bye" my father says
"No! No wait!-
I throw my hands up to tell them to stop
I can hear everyone running towards me from behind yelling loudly
The national guard sees what is happening so shots begin to fire.
As the bullets hit my parents, they clench the guns in their hands which so happen to still be pointing at me
It was like slow motion
I watched Pietro run in front of me to save me.
But the bullet went through his wrist and right into me.
Next thing I know I'm on the ground. The pain is awful
Dad is at my side Immediately
He was talking to me trying to help but I couldn't hear what he was saying
Everyone crowded around me as I lay on the ground limp
The ringing in my ears blocked out the noise.
My vision goes blurry.
All I have is my thoughts
I'm happy it was me and not someone else, it would've been all my fault if someone else died today.
I understand now the whole point of not having the authorities get involved was to avoid any unreasonable deaths. now there are 2 bodys on the ground.
Nobody wanted anyone to get hurt. My family has suffered enough, but more could've been done to save me, Right?
I guess that's what we always want to say. Strange could've protected me more! Pietro could've taken the bullet! Dad could've grabbed me!
But it's over now, there isn't any more to do.
My vision goes white now.
The pain starts to fade.
I feel dads arms around me I've never felt safer.
Through the whiteness I see someone
"Heimdall?" I ask
"Y/n" he nods
"What are you doing here?" I ask confused
"Watching, I am watchmen of the gods, and at Thor's request you as well " he points down
I look down to see everyone watching as dad gets into an ambulance with my body
"Wait a second you're-
"Dead. Yes" he nods
"But that means I'm..."
"No, but very close to it" he says
"Heimdall I can't leave them! This can't be it!" I shake my head watching the scene
He stays silent just watching over
"I have to go- they need me!" I shout trying to find my way out
I fall next to Heimdall and start to cry.
"Don't cry, everything will turn out just fine" Heimdall encourages me
But how can I believe that while my dad is watching me die and I can't be there to tell him I'm okay...
