Hello fam

Bakugo's POV
"I don't see why she has to spend the afternoon with icy hot," I huffed and Kirishima raised an eyebrow.
"Wasn't she with you all afternoon yesterday?" he asked, chuckling idly.
"Yeah, but halfie fucking sucks," I grumbled and Kirishima clapped me on the back of my shoulder.
"Sure," he said, turning back to his homework. I was tutoring him once again, though we were almost done anyways. Technically he was still finishing, I was already done with our work. "How are you guys?"
"We're fucking fantastic," I said sarcastically, "What kind of question is that?"
"Just wondering Bakubro," he said and I rolled my eyes at him. I hated that nickname. "I know you like her and all, but don't you think you guys are getting a little too dependent on each other?"
"No, the fuck you mean by that?"
"I mean it's hard to have a conversation without mentioning (y/n). I never see you with anyone else."
"I'm here with you right now aren't I?"
"Talking about (y/n)."
"Well excuse me!" I hissed and Kirishima frowned down at his paper.
"All I'm saying is that there's a difference between liking a person or wanting to be with them, and being obsessed with them. Don't freak her out," he said. I just grumbled back at him. She didn't seem to have any sort of problem with it, despite the fact she hung out with other people so she couldn't be with me all the time. Was I freaking her out? Maybe that was why she was not feeling so great. I paused, realizing that my thoughts had been consumed by (y/n) and that Kirishima was right. I had been pretty focused on (y/n) lately.
It was difficult to gauge exactly how to do this whole teenage thing. On one hand, we were kids and we were meant to have fun, but we were also training to become heroes. It was hard to have fun and just be with (y/n) for now when I could tell my feelings were strong and the weight of our dangerous line of work was heavy on our shoulders. We certainly weren't regular teenagers, as much as we wanted to mess around.
"How am I supposed to stop?" I glanced up at Kiri and he gazed back at me with a quizzical look on his face. "With talking about slip n slide?"
"Oh..." he said. "Well, why don't we play some video games with Denki and Sero. You know, just the boys."
"Never say that."
"Just the homies."
"Worse."
"Alright, let's just go then," he said, pulling out his phone and typing a quick message that buzzed on my phone too, signalling that he had texted the group chat. I stood up with him, closing my homework folder seeing as it was done anyways. I shoved my hands in my pockets, letting out a breath as I tried to clear my mind.
The lounge was pretty much empty except for a couple classmates passing. Kirishima smiled and waved as they passed, a gesture that they returned. That was something I would never understand, such kindly motions towards one another all the time. It must be exhausting. I sat myself cross-legged on the couch as Kirishima tossed me a controller.
"Ayyy Bakugo!" Kaminari called, using my shoulder rather than the back of the couch to vault himself over.
"Don't fucking touch me dunce face," I growled and he held up his hands in surrender, a controller slapped into one of his raised hands by the red head of the group. MarioKart loaded onto the screen as Sero perched himself on the back of the couch.
"Ooo what are you guys playing?" Mina called, having entered the lounge now and I groaned as she placed herself behind me at the couch, stood beside Sero now. "Wow am I not invited to boys night?"
"No, fuck off," I growled and she peered around, upside down at me.
"Meanie," she scoffed, scrunching my face in her hands.
"Piss off alien bitch!" I called and she just hummed to herself, proud of whatever she had done to piss me off. She pecked Sero on the cheek, causing his face to flood with a red color and Kaminari made a gagging noise.
"Gross! No girls allowed!" he called.
"I bet you go by that rule all the time huh?" Mina asked, playfully shoving his head and he called out in protest. "Whatever, I'll just go find Jirou then." She disappeared and I pout, wiping my face of the feeling of the girl's hands. I glanced at Sero who seemed unfazed by the action. I heard a loud and ridiculous gasp from beside me.
"I want to be Lemmy!" Kaminari said.
"That's literally what you fucking look like," I scoffed and he grinned at me.
"Exactly!" he called. "What are you going to be, donkey kong?"
"Are you calling me a fucking monkey?"
"No..." He said and I gave him a pissed expression. I chose Bowser, Kirishima taking Shy Guy, and Sero took Toad.
"You just had to pick the weird one," Sero said.
"Yeah and watch me win and kick all of your asses," Kaminari replied, a grin on his face.
"Kaminari, you suck at this game," Kirishima said, picking a track.
"I'm average!" he argued.
"On what scale? Babies?" Kirishima ragged, and Kaminari shoved him.
"Suck a dick, all of you," he scoffed.
"1 dick? For all 3 of us? That's a little skimpy isn't it?" Sero asked.
"No, unless it's Dunce Face," I scoffed and he gasped.
"I'm average!" he called and Kirishima laughed again.
"Okay, okay, enough making fun of Kaminari," he said and Kaminari shook his head.
"Whatever, you guys suck. Don't forget to say no homo," he scoffed, pouting thoroughly. The race started and I shot into second place behind an automatic racer. We played for a long while, Kaminari effectively not winning each time. "I swear it's the controller, you guys are pranking me."
"Why would we do that? That's just cruel. We'd have to mess with someone who's actually good," Sero said and him and Kaminari got into a petty bicker. Kirishima glanced at me with a smile to which I returned with a curt nod.
"You're full of it, at least I'm not a simp for Mina."
"Oh and being a simp for just about every other girl in this school is better? You're a fool," Sero said, the two of them shoving each other around.
"Yeah well--" Kaminari stopped dead in his tracked and I glanced to where he had grown distracted.
Passing through the living room, after their training, was Todoroki and (y/n). Her back was slightly hunched and she looked almost sickly. Her hand was gripping her wrist in a way that I could only assume was to stop pain. Had she hurt herself? Did the half and half bastard hurt her? Her head was ducked towards Todoroki, his hand on her back as he led her past us and towards the boys hallway. His face was worn in a dull expression as always, slightly sad this time however. My lips part as she shakily walked past with Todoroki, not seeing any of us.
I watched, dumbfounded. What I was feeling now was far from jealousy. I couldn't care less what Todoroki was doing to her, my only concern proved to be the suffering figure beside him. They must be heading for someone, though I doubt it was me. If it was, they would come back. It was then when I realized all three of the guys were staring directly at me.
"Let's play another round, yeah?" I asked, turning back to the screen. It was obvious that I was holding back going after her, but she had Todoroki and whoever they were going to, if they were going to someone. That was fine and if she needed me she would find me. I was not obsessed, no matter how painful it was to leave her be.
"Sure, but we're switching controllers and then I'll win," Kaminari said, taking the focus off the sight we had just seen and I handed mine to him.
"You still suck Kami," Kirishima pointed out, to which Kaminari shook his head vigorously.
"That's what you think!"
"What we know idiot," Sero replied. I felt an elbow on my shoulder, Kaminari leaning forward to focus on the screen and poising his controller in the air. I glared at him for a minute before turning back, allowing him to rest his arm along my shoulder for the time being. The idiot was making a good enough effort.
It was okay to think about (y/n) and her well being, but to know she was at least in the hands of someone she trusted was enough to ensure that it wasn't at the front of my mind, driving me crazy.
