"WE ARE THE CHAMPS! WE OWN THE GAME! GO VIKINGS! GO VIKINGS! GO GO GO VIKINGS!"
Nakisabay ako sa malakas na pag-ingay ng mga Weston students. It's the game 2 of the finals already. Marami na namang naka-kulay royal blue na jersey para suportahan ang players ng Vikings. 'Yung iba naman naka yellow... supporters ng Galores players mula sa East High.
"Miss Marquez! Hi!" Napukol ang tingin ko sa lumapit sa railing sa ibaba na tinitingala ako.
It's Leo, the arrogant player of the other team.
Sinenyasan niya akong lumapit para makausap siya ngunit umiling ako. Kusang hinanap ng mga mata ko si Isaac na busy sa pakikinig sa sinasabi ni Coach Stanford. I smiled at how serious he looks. Like all the members of the Vikings, there's focus written on his face. This wasn't a time for any jokes. Ganito lagi ang Vikings. Kapag sa court, seryoso sila sa paglalaro. They're all dedicated to win. All of them have one goal... to bring home the trophy, again.
After game 2, sa East High naman sunod na venue. Game 3 and 4 will be held there. Hingi nalang ako ng ticket kay Isaac... well, kung bibigyan niya ako?
"Catalya come on! May gusto lang akong sabihin!" Sigaw niya dahil ang lakas ng ingay dito sa gym.
Kita kong napapadako na naman ang ilang mga tingin ng madla sa amin dahil dito kay Leo na namimilit makipag-usap.
"Girl, dedikadong makausap ka," Zarena jested.
I sighed. "Ayokong kausapin," saad ko at napipilitang tumayo. Bibilisan ko para matapos na kasi mukhang wala siyang balak tumigil hangga't sa hindi ako lumalapit. Kung di ko lalapitan, baka mas madami pa mapatingin sa direksyon namin. I don't like attention from people.
"Masaya akong nakita kita ulit," sinabayan niya iyon ng ngiti. "May lakad ka ba mamayang gabi?"
I tucked the loose strands of hair that fell on the side of my face. I gave Leo a knowing look.
Huminga ako ng malalim. "Look here Leo. It's nice if we remain casual. I' m not interested in hanging out with you. I hope you understand that," I cleared.
Probably better to tell him straight away than start giving him hopes. Nanliligaw na si Isaac. I don't want another suitor, sa totoo lang.
Nakitaan ko ng disappointment ang mga mata niya. But he tried to smile though. Inayos niya ang damit niya tsaka tumango.
"Wow. Hindi pa ako nag-uumpisa, basted na agad," tumawa siya tsaka ako nginitihan.
"Find another girl, better than me. Baka nasa paligid lang,"
Leo shook his head. "Sayang naman. Ikaw gusto ko e, pero nirerespeto ko ang gusto mo," he brushed his hair back using his fingers.
Tipid ko siyang nginitihan. "You're not that bad naman pala. Cheer na lang kita,"
Ngumisi siya. "Gusto ko 'yan. Pero 'wag mong sobrahan, baka may mainis na naman sa akin na player niyo at puruhan ako sa laro,"
I didn't get what he said but I just smiled at him when he gave me a thumbs-up while drinking in his own bottle from afar.
Halos maalis na ang bubong ng gym dahil sa lakas ng sigawan ng dalawang partida. Even the audience are competitive!
"Go Isaac! Tirahin mo 'yan! Diyan ka magaling!" Malakas na cheer ko kay Isaac na siyang may hawak sa bola. Pinigilan ko ang pagngiti ko nang tapunan niya ng tingin ang gawi ko at marahang natawa saka niya ipinasok ang bola sa ring.
"Pasok na naman! Another three point shot by Aldreva!" The announcer shouted, escalating.
Pumalakpak ako. "Uy si Catalya! Sinisigaw na pangalan ni Isaac! Whooo!" Tudyo nila Patricia pero hindi ko sila pinansin.
Binigyan ko rin ng tipid na ngiti si Leo nang iwagayway niya ang kamay sa akin. Inayos ko ang paghawak sa bag ko na nasa lap ko.
Both parties were on fire. Nararamdaman naming mga audience ang init ng laro.
But I gasped when someone from the Galores East High players elbowed Seven. Halatang aksidente lang.
"Oh gosh," I whispered. Pati rin sina Pat at Za ay nakaramdam ng concern nang makita ang nangyari.
Ngunit ang munting mga bulong bulungan ay napalakas nang kausapin ni Seven ang teammates niya at si Coach Stanford tsaka ito nagmamadaling umalis.

Patrcia grimaced. "Seven is scary pala. I never knew he could look that serious and threatening kasi he's always the good type among the players!"
Napailing na lang ako. I'll just ask Isaac about it later.
I smiled widely while looking at Isaac who's snorting while walking towards my direction. "Okay lang 'yan! Bawi kayo sa next game,"
East High won this round with only one-point gap. Gosh! Naipasok kasi nung nakasiko kay Seven yung bola bago tumunog ang buzzer. He got three points, tsamba!
"Maraming fans ang nakatingin sa'yo ngayon. Why did you reject them? Ilang pictures lang naman kasama ka ang gusto nila," sabi ko. I handed him a bottle of water that I bought for him before I watched the game.
Tumutulo na naman ang maraming butil ng pawis sa katawan niya.
"Next time na lang. Mas gusto kong makalapit sa'yo ngayon," isinara niya ang bottle matapos maubos ang laman non.
Napaiwas naman ako ng tingin dahil sa pagtitig niya. Nameywang ako nung bumaon sa akin ang maririing tingin niya.
"Hug ko?" Malambing niyang tanong na parang bata. He spread his arms wide, waiting for me to walk to him.

He laughed, unaffected by it. "Gaya gaya ka," tawa niya. Nailang pa ako kasi wagas siyang makatitig habang pinupunasan ko ang pawis niya. Pati buhok niya nagulo ko dahil sa pagpupunas. He's sweat was dripping so I had to wipe it cleanly!
Pagkatapos ng game, napagdesisyunan namin nila Pat at Za na mag-bar. Syempre, sumabit na naman ang mga manlalaro. Pinilit pa ni Za si Luke para lang sumama. Wala lang sina Seven at Brix. Seven had an emergency to attend to. Isaac doesn't know the reason why Seven left the game either. Ang sabi lang daw nito, may importante siyang kailangang tignan. And Brix...well he just mysteriously disappeared. Ewan namin kung saan iyon nagsususuot ngayon.
"Fuck, 'di puwedeng uminom ng marami. Tayo magmamaneho," I heard Axel say to Isaac when I walked passed them to sit on the lounge with my girls.
Isaac just smirked. Luke drank at his glass.
Iniwas ko na muna ang tingin kay Isaac. The guys are sitting on the other area across us. We decided to drink separately for now.
"Hoy Za! 'Wag kang uminom jan kundi lagot ka kay Luke," sita ko.
"Itong si Pat ang pagsabihan mo! Her alchohol tolerance is lower than Amanda's IQ!" Depensa niya sa sarili at ibinato kay Pat ang problema.
I shook my head. "Oo nga pala. I heard Amanda is back at school. Balita ko rin, sa department nila Axel siya pumasok,"
Patricia only sighed. "Let's not talk about her," then she grinned sheepishly. "Ikaw na lang at si Isaac ang pag-uusapan! Kamusta kayo?"
I rolled my eyes and drank some gin.
"Uy Cat! Nice to see you!" Napabaling ang tingin ko sa taga-East High na kakilala ko nang batiin niya ako.
"Hey Brenda," i raised my glass at her when she smiled at Pat and Za before walking away. Sumimsim ako sa baso ko.
Sina Za at Patricia naman ay busy sa pag-uusap tungkol sa pusang nasagasaan ni Patricia noong high school siya. She was having driving lessons when a cat accidentally jumped in front of the car. Pinagmamayabang niya pa sa akin kasi nakasagasa raw siya ng kauri ko. Can you believe that?!
Patricia sent me a mocking look.

"Catalya. I wonder what your reaction would be if you see an acquaintance beside Isaac," napatingin ako kay Za dahil sa sinabi niya bigla. But her eyes was looking at the Vikings' area.
"Anong sinabi mo?" I asked again, the music was too loud. Kaya sinundan ko na lamang ang tinitignan niya.
Umawang ang labi ko nang makita si Brenda na lumapit kay Isaac at bigla na itong humalik sa pisngi niya. Since Isaac was engrossed in talking with Luke, he wasn't paying attention of her. Kita kong hindi niya inaasahan iyon base na rin sa hitsura niya.

Inilabas ko ang phone ko para i-text si Kian. May lakad raw kasi siya bukas at magpapasama siya sa akin. But I think I can't accompany him since I got lots of things to do tomorrow. I looked back to their table. Napalabi ako nang makitang wala na rin sina Axel at Luke roon. Lumipat sila sa table namin. The reason is? A group of girl flocked their area, they were there, looking at our direction. Stealing glances of the Viking players while sending us death glares and jealous glances.
"Anong sabi niya?" I asked.
I filled my cup again and started drinking it.
"Nagpakilala. Brenda raw pangalan," he nuzzled his face on the crook of my neck. "She said I'm handsome and asked for my number,"
I frowned. "Binigay mo?"
