Your POV
"Void?" Steven looked at you with confusion.
You started to violently cough, Steven tried to pay your back but it didn't help. He gave you a class of water he kept on his desc but you splurged it all out. Something black was coming out of your mouth. A ball of black thick liquid cane flying out of your mouth and into a bowl Steven had placed in your lap Incase you threw up.
You gasped for air after all the coughing and watched the black ball start to move.
"What the f-"
The bowl was quickly cut down the centre, along with the black, thing, and Garnet stood in front of you.
"Your not safe anymore (Y/N). You need to tell us what had happened the three days you were gone" You took a sip of the glass of water Steven handed you and looked at you with worry, rubbing your back.
Pearl and Amethyst walked up behind Garnet, all looking at you with worry.
You sighed, you yourself was worried at what was going to happen.
"Guys, she's just woken up from something, give her space" Steven was rubbing your back when you heard,
"I shouldn't have spent the day messing around with her, I've wasted time and now we're all in trouble"
You looked at Steven, it was in his voice, only, he didn't talk. Was, was that his thoughts? Could you read his mind? You hugged him, "Steven today, or yesterday, was amazing. You didn't waste time and you're extremely important. Now we can focus on the problem at hand" he looked at you with a confused face. You smiled at him, he smiled back,
"At least she's okay"
"Okay you two, we need to know what happened" Amethyst was rolling her eyes but seemed serious. If you were all in trouble she wanted to help. You nodded at her,
"I ran away from Steven, after finding out my mother.. was..." you sighed, saying her name. The gems gasped, even Garnet somehow. "I-im guessing you've heard of h-her t-then. W-well I wanted to g-get away, so I ran and the W-warp p-pad took me to a d-dark b-black room. I wondered around for a-a while when I-I saw my me-memories."
Why were you stumbling? You weren't afraid, you weren't hurt. Was it just because you were re telling it?
"A-anyway, I s-saw the day I c-came here w-with my d-dad. I-it was a long time a-ago but I r-remember it w-well. H-he.. h-he w-was, h-hit by a c-car. I t-thought that he h-had brain da-damage that m-made him so cruel, b-but I-it turned o-our.. he h-had
Died that day.
S-someone else had t-taken his p-place, t-they l-looked identical t-to him but t-they were t-two different p-people. I f-found a p-photo Of Ammonite a-and l-left it f-for my 8-8 year o-old s-self. T-there was a h-hammer that s-someone used o-on my gem and it w-was t-he first o-or s-second crack."
You felt tears coming down your cheeks. It was so strange telling the story again.
"I- After finding o-out the t-truth, I walked a-around to find memories of all my life. Good and bad."
You smiled while remembering when you danced on the beach with Steven.
"I-I walked t-too far t-though.. I w-walked in-into the darkness, further. I h-heard a scream and I-I saw the t-time I s-saw the younger version o-of m-myself. W-when I was out for a-almost t-two w-weeks. I h-heard screaming a-and fell t-to the floor. B-blood fell f-from my ears, I w-was in so, s-so m-much p-pain. But everything disappeared"
You remembered you seeing your mother.
"I saw a lady... she had blood pouring out of her ears and black stuff dripping from her mouth. She was chained to the floor, on her knees, crying. Not being able to move.."
You thought for a moment, taking a breath.
"I- I stood up and w-walked over. S-something in myself made me. It was pulling me, I had too. I walked over. Her eyes were red and blood shot. She had white pupils, her hair was long and black. She wore a skin tight black dress, holes from where she was damaged."
You remembered her looking at you, the fear behind her eyes. The way she told you to run, when she begged you to leave. When she-
"She promised me she would come back. S-She would find me. That's what the nightmare was" you looked at Steven as he seemed confused and concerned.
"She begged me to leave and told me she would find me.. she said I wasn't safe, she knew that I was with you guys. She wanted me to come back to Steven."
You looked up at them all. Then down, trying to remember everything.
"She begged me to leave and I had to run. Something told me to run. I ran through everything, hearing her screams behind me. It became gurgles but she told me not to look back. I ran through all the memories, eyes tight. I ran and ran before falling into the air and onto the sand."
You looked outside, the moon made the sand sparkle. Steven held your hand. "(Y/N)? What was the nightmare about?" Steven asked you, tightening his hold on your hand.
"I, I woke up.. I was looking through the eyes of my mother. I didn't realise it but it was clear. It was terrible, the feeling of blood sticking to me, the black foam liquid in my mouth. I- she hurt so bad."
"A man came o-out if t-the dark n-ness. H-he w-wore a-ll b-black. His s-skin w-was black-g-grey and his e-eyes were p-pitch black w-with blood r-red p-pupils, and a-a mask c-covering his m-mouth."
"He kept talking to me- my mother. Just telling her it was her fault she was there and that her daughter wouldn't save her."
"Ammonite kept begging him, he enjoyed it when she begged, telling her to do it more as he made her chains tighter. I could feel all the pain she felt. But I couldn't understand it all"
you looked up, remembering the way he held your chin.
"My mother asked him something that seemed to annoy him. She asked him why they couldn't be what they used to, he told her not to push him but she kept begging."
Pearl looked at you. Everyone watched with fear. They couldn't even imagine what it felt like. They couldn't imagine the pain.
"(Y/N)? Did Ammonite say his name?"
Pearl asked with caution, holding onto Garnets arm from behind, walking forward.
You nodded, "she called him
Void"
They all looked at you in shock, well Garnet and Pearl anyway. Amethyst really had no idea but knew it was serious. Steven was just as clueless as you, maybe more.
"V-Void?" Pearl stumbled over her words, she couldn't stand straight. "I. I didn't think they were real, none of them... yet here we are with a human hybrid of a Gem, Human, AND GOD!" Pearl had her hands around her head, walking back and forth panicking. "It's okay Pearl-" Garnet tried to reassure her but it was no use.
"ITS NOT OKAY GARNET! FIRST PINK! THEN ROSE! THEN STEVEN AND GREY! THE WHOLE WAR THAT WENT ON FOR 1000 YEARS! THE SECRETS, THE BATTLES! NOW THIS! A DAUGHTER OF A GOD ABD HUMAN?!"
Pearl gasped as she realised what she had said. She held her hands over her mouth with wide eyes, staring at you.
"I'll leave if I'm not wanted."
You got up, tears in your eyes.
"N-no!" Steven grabbed your wrist and turned you around. "She didn't mean that. We're gonna do this together" his eyes held desperation, fear.
You sat down on the bed. You placed your head in your hands and Steven could see tears roll down your sleeves.
"(Y/N).."
He got up and walked around the bed, and sat next to you, holding you tight.
"It's okay, we're here for you"
You felt water running down your face and arms. You didn't want to get them hurt but you needed their help.
"(Y/N).. I'm, I'm so sorry" Pearl reached out her hand to put on your shoulder but you stepped away, making Steven jump at the sudden movements. Pearl swiftly pulled her arm back and tears were in her eyes. You could see the truth behind them.
She didn't mean to hurt you, but she was so worked up about the past 6000 years. Pink diamond faking her shattering, making Pearl keep it a secret, lying to everyone to protect them. Pearl had to look after the last thing left of Pink and watched over her son Steven. Steven was almost killed so many times causing Pearl more stress. Now Pearl is dealing with a daughter of a God.
You hadn't realised that you and Pearl both stared into each other's eyes while timed stopped. You blinked and ran to her, almost knocking her over. "It's okay to be afraid Pearl"
She smiled, no one knew you were gonna be the new Steven. "Well guess we've got Steven one and Steven two now" amethyst laughed, pointing at Steven and you. Steven laughed and you smiled.
Garnet patted your head, "now we've got to explain who Void is"
