namjoon just reads the book to him, letting the older listen to him.
his eyes wouldn't stay open because namjoon's smoothening voice.
he wanted to stay awake but he couldn't.
"are you getting sleepy?"
"mm." yoongi kind of replied.
namjoon closes his book, turning off the little light he has.
he moved himself to the side, pulling the older close to him to put his arms around the small boy.
"sleep, hyung." he pet his hair, sliding down to caress his neck.
yoongi put an arm around under his arm, hiding his face in the younger's chest.
yoongi's grip on his shirt suddenly went tighter.
namjoon curled his brows when he felt it.
"..hyung?"
"i-i'm so fucked, joonie."
he didn't reply, curling his brows.
"i don't d-deserve you—i don't..deserve a-anyone. you make me f-feel free, joonie."
namjoon held tighter, pulling him even closer.
"m-my appa hurts me. i-i yelled back at h-him and he..." he choked up a sob. "i-i'm s-s-sorry."
"hyung." namjoon looked down at the older, placing his hand on the side of his face. "never apologize for saying what needed to be said."
"i-i'm trying to st-stay up but..i-i don't kn-know what to do."
"i'm so sorry that's happening to you." namjoon rested his forehead on the older's.
"i-it hurts all th-the time, joonie. i f-feel like i'm drowning."
"i feel like i'm drowning too."
"i n-never want t-to leave. i-i want to st-stay here..with you."
"then stay here."
