Alya blamed Nandini for the mishap.
Manik : "She doesn't have any reason to hate you."
Alya : "She does, she has her eyes set on you and I am in her way. She wanted to get rid of me so that she can get even closer to you and trap you."
Manik : "What nonsense!"
He lowered his raised voice since they were at the hospital.
Manik : "You doubt every girl's intentions, so you try to keep them away from me, and now you are doubting her too. You seemed to be okay when she was with us all these days, then what made you think like this suddenly? .. Anyways whatever it is, it is only your misunderstanding. She has no such intentions."
Alya : "I was never fine with her being around us. When it came to other girls, I knew you would believe and support me, and stay away from them if I talk to you. She has managed to cast a spell on all of you, when I wasn't around. So none of you would have believed me if I had told you about her intentions. Even now, in spite of what she did to me you aren't believing me. You are my boyfriend, not hers. You should be supporting me, not her."
Manik : "When it came to other girls, I didn't know them and I was not at all bothered about them. So I didn't find any reason to pursue talks about them and complicate things unnecessarily. I felt it was better to just let it go rather than ruin the day for myself and the rest of us. I have and will support you as your boyfriend, but I never did nor will in the future support you when I know for sure that what you are doing isn't right."
Manik : "I know Nandini and I am sure that she doesn't have any intentions as you mentioned, so your accusation is baseless. It is only your illusion. If uncle files a complaint based on that, it will impact Nandini's life. I can't support you when I know that she isn't at fault. I don't know what made you think so, but I can assure you that she didn't push you. You can take my word for it and drop the idea of filing a police complaint against her."
When Manik didn't support her, she turned towards her parents.
Alya : "Dad and mom, at least you believe me right?"
How could her parents go against her? They believed what she said.
Alya's dad : "Yes dear, we do. Don't worry, I will file a complaint right away."
Manik and Abhi tried to convince Alya's dad, but he didn't budge from his decision. The rest of Fab6 kept quiet, not knowing whom to support.
Alya's dad : "I don't care what happens to that girl. I want my daughter's culprit to be punished."
Alya felt happy that she had accomplished what she wanted. She thought Fab5 would hate Nandini or keep distance from her after hearing her allegation. When her dad was ready to file a police complaint, she decided to go ahead with it. She was not at all bothered as to how Nandini's life will be affected.
Alya's dad left to the police station. Manik was ready to leave the ward, but Alya stopped him.
Alya : "I am in the hospital. You should be worried for me and stay with me, but instead you are leaving me in this state and are getting worried for Nandini. You have changed, you don't love me or care for me anymore. You have fallen in her trap, that's why you are going against me and supporting her. You don't value our relationship any more."
Alya was upset with Manik because he hadn't supported her as she thought. She didn't realize that the words she was blurting in her frustration would cost her in the near future.
A nurse who had come for changing Alya's dressing had heard their loud voices.
Nurse : "What is the commotion? It isn't good for the patient to take stress. It will only aggravate her situation. Keeping a calm and relaxed atmosphere will help the patient recover quickly."
Manik was forced to stay back and they had to put an end to the conversation. The nurse asked everyone to go out so she could change the dressing, and they all went out. Since Manik couldn't leave immediately, he asked Abhi to do what he was planning to do himself.
Manik : "Abhi, talk to Nandini and find out what happened that day? Also, check if anyone was around and has seen it happening. We have to find something which can work in Nandini 's favor at the earliest."

Abhi did as Manik told him.
Abhi : "Nandini, do you have any idea of how Alya fell that day?"
Nandini : "No, I don't. When I saw her, she had already fallen down."
Abhi tried to find if someone saw it happening. People who were downstairs around that time had seen Nandini walking downstairs after Alya fell, but they had no idea as to how Alya fell. Abhi updated Manik that there was no progress from his side.
Manik was physically present with Alya, but he was thinking of how to prove that Nandini is innocent. When he got sometime to himself at the hospital, he started thinking of all possible options, that's when his eyes fell on the CCTV cameras at the hospital. He was aware that there were CCTV cameras at their college, but he wasn't sure if there was one at the place of the accident or nearby. So he immediately called Abhi and asked him to check the same.

When police came to the college office, Nandini was summoned. Abhi had found the CCTV footage which showed that Nandini wasn't behind Alya, to push her when the incident happened.
Police officer : "Is there any other footage we could cross check, to make sure that she wasn't made to trip and fall down?"
They checked and found that another camera could have also captured another angle for that area. They looked for the footage, which showed Alya behind Nandini with her hands forward, indicating that it was Alya who was intending to push Nandini and not the other way round. Abhi hadn't checked for other footage, thinking that he had enough evidence to prove that Nandini was innocent. He was shocked to find that Alya would do such a thing and Nandini would have been in Alya's place if she hadn't moved in time.
Police officer : "We will dismiss the case against you. You can file a case against her if you wish to, since you have sufficient evidence."
Nandini : "I don't want to file a case against her, it will impact her life. Also she is already in the hospital, I wouldn't want to add to her problems."
Police officer : "Okay as you wish. I guess she has already got her punishment for her deed."
The police officer left the college.
Abhi : "I had no idea that Alya would do this to you. She tried to push you down the stairs and when that didn't work, she complained falsely against you. Still, you let her go, why?"
Nandini : "It would impact her life. You all were so tensed for her when the accident happened. Anything that impacts her would also impact all of you since you are all connected closely. Also, nothing happened to me, you saved me from the police complaint too."
Abhi : "I tried to, but it was Manik who remembered the CCTV cameras. He tried to convince Alya and his dad to refrain from filing a complaint too, but they didn't listen to him. I will inform him, he might be waiting for my response."
Abhi took out his phone and was about to call Manik, but Nandini stopped him.
Nandini : "Don't tell him about what Alya tried to do, it might upset him. Keep it to yourself, I think that will be better for the welfare of your group."
Abhi agreed and called Manik.
Abhi : "Manik, the CCTV footage helped. It proved that Nandini is innocent and the case has been dismissed. I guess Alya misunderstood."
Manik had been tensed all this time. He was relieved after hearing Abhi.
Alya's parents were informed about the investigation and they stayed quiet after finding about their daughter's deeds. Since Alya was still recovering, they didn't tell or ask her anything more about it.

Next, when Abhi came to the hospital, he said the same to everyone as he said to Manik.
Alya : "It isn't a misunderstanding. You are supporting her because you consider her as your sister. How can you give so much importance to her, she came into your life only a few months back? You have known me for a few years, but you aren't believing me. She wanted to get rid of me and that is the truth."
Abhi didn't say anything because he didn't want to reveal the truth in front of everyone.
Manik : "It isn't about knowing for a few months or a few years. It is about supporting what is right. There is no way she would do that to you. I don't understand why you aren't ready to accept that you misunderstood, though the case has been dismissed and Nandini has been proven innocent."
Abhi stayed back when Fab5 left, and Alya's parents were with her.
Abhi : "Why are you lying and trying to create a bad impression about Nandini in front of others? Even you know very well who was planning to get rid of whom. It wasn't Nandini."
Alya : "What do you mean by that?"
Abhi : "You thought there wasn't any proof against you, but you forgot about the CCTV cameras that captured your deed. I didn't tell others about it, but I saw what happened that day."
Mukti had forgotten her phone. She came to get it and she overheard the last part of their conversation. When she came in, they stopped their conversation and Abhi left. Mukti followed him.
Mukti : "You told us it was all a misunderstanding, then what did you mean by CCTV captured Alya's deed? Are you hiding something from all of us?"
Abhi wasn't ready to tell Mukti, but Mukti persuaded him and he finally gave in.
Abhi explained everything that happened. He also told her that Nandini asked him not to disclose about it and why.
Mukti : "I never thought Alya would do something like that. It is better we discuss this with Cabir and Dhruv, and then decide whether to tell Manik or not."
