Liam's P.O.V
I can't believe Jane is going on a date with that guy. What are the odds she meets her childhood friend in Asia?
She is here for business, not pleasure. I would like to see how her little date will happen if she is too busy to go.
I need to do something. I hurried back to the penthouse. I saw Jane looking around trying to find something.
The moment she stood up straight and I saw her, my jaw dropped.
She was wearing a red dress that embraced her body. Showing all her curves in every single detail. One thing I know for sure, she's the most stunning woman I've ever met in my life.
"Wow!" I whispered to myself. She smiled the moment she saw me. How can someone be so beautiful?
"Oh, I was just about to call you. Where have you been?" She asked but I couldn't reply. I was speechless. I just kept gazing at her.
That's it!
She's not going out with that British bastard looking like that.
"Sorry... I was downstairs__" I managed to say then I heard a knock on the door.
Jane walked towards the door. The smell of her perfume hit my nostrils, and I almost tripped while standing.
Before I could blink the British bastard walked in snapping me out of my daze. The way he looked at Jane made me fold my hand into a fist. He won't stop staring at her. I cleared my throat to distract him.
"Are you ready?" He asked Jane. "Yes, let's go," She smiled and he took her hand in his. "See you later boss." She said to me and they left. Just like that. I didn't even get a chance to say anything.
I kicked the coffee table beside me and plunged myself on the couch.
That woman has a way of getting away with things. No one dares to try this with me but her.
I groaned out loud.
This is where I'm going to sit until she's back.

Jane's P.O.V
We walked towards a restaurant not too far from the hotel to grab dinner.
I missed Aiden. He was my childhood best friend. We were inseparable. I even had a crush on him when we were young.
He was there for me during my toughest times, and he knows how to make people feel better.
We got to the restaurant and Aiden ordered some Korean food, for both of us. We ate for a little while without saying anything.
"So, tell me. How have you been? What's going on? Why didn't you tell me before leaving? Why didn't you ever try to contact me? How's life? And who is the lucky guy?" He asked me.
"Wow, that's a lot of questions." We both laughed.
"Uh... I'm fine. Life is okay. I don't have much going on right now. I'm sorry for not telling you I was leaving. I wasn't expecting it either, and I know how much you hate goodbyes. You know much I don't like calling people that are far away from me, because I just end up missing them more. And there is no guy" I said as fast as I could.
"Wow... It's okay. I get it. But I have to say, at first, I thought something was going on between you and your boss. I mean did you see the way he was staring at me like he was about to kill me?" He chuckled.
I cleared my throat.
"No, nothing is going on. We're not a thing. I'm just his employee," I said nervously. Aiden stopped eating and stared at me while folding his arms.
"Jane... what's going on? Even though it's been years I believe I still know when you're lying. We grew up together. I knew you better than anyone else. I don't believe you've changed that much. So spill it." He said firmly. Knowing Aiden he won't let it go until I tell him.
So I told him everything that happened from my being transferred to how I feel about the current situation. I also told him about Luke.
"What I know for sure is that none of them deserve you. You're beautiful, intelligent, incredible, did I say beautiful? I'm not just saying this because I'm your childhood friend, but you've always carried yourself with grace ever since we were little. I think it's a good thing you guys didn't date. You'll meet someone great. I know that for sure." He said caressing my hand.
"Thanks, Aiden." I smiled and he replied with a smile.
"I can't believe we reunited in South Korea after all these years, it's crazy. Never in my wildest dream did I ever think of meeting anyone from London so soon," I said laughing.
"I know right," He said laughing.
"I'm really surprised to see you working for Greenwood. It's more surprising knowing the position you hold. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing erroneous about that. But I know your family background, which Is why I have so many questions." He said curiously. I can tell he is trying to hold back so I don't feel uncomfortable.
"I know you have questions, but not today. I just want to hang out with you and have fun. We can save the depressing questions for next time." I replied honestly.
He let out a sigh. "I can roll with that," He replied.
I smiled, showing him how grateful I was.
After talking about everything else, we went back to the hotel at midnight.
I was really happy to see him. I had a great time with him.
He walked me to the front of the penthouse.
"Thanks a lot, Aiden. I had a great time. I haven't had that much fun in a long time. It was awesome," I said and he smiled at me.
"You're welcome. I had fun too. We can do this again tomorrow. I can take you sightseeing if your boss is okay with that. I'm not busy tomorrow," He replied hoping for a positive answer.
"That would be nice. I can't wait to travel around Seoul and try as much food as I can. Is 9 am tomorrow fine by you? " I asked.
"Perfect! Good night Jane," He kissed me on the cheek. It felt warm and it made me blush
"Goodnight Aiden," He winked playfully and left. I entered the penthouse with a bright smile on my face. Then I realized all the lights were off. It was dark. I couldn't find the switch, so I took out my phone, using the screen light to guide my steps.
"Liam? Are you in here?" I called out his name.
He's probably asleep.
I decided to head to my room when I suddenly felt someone cover my mouth and slowly push my body to the wall.
My heart dropped. This is not how I planned to die. I still want to see my mom and my sister. I want to see Grandparents.
I tried screaming but the hand was stopping me.
Who on earth wants to kill me? Well, except for my stepmother and her daughter.
Where is Liam?! Did something happen to him? Omg!
I snapped out of my thoughts and tried to liberate myself, but it didn't work.
The person appears to be stronger than me.
Wait, I can smell a familiar cologne, and I can feel the strong body. That body is too familiar.
Why is Liam trying to kill me?
"So how was your little date?" He asked removing his hand from my mouth, but he didn't let go of my hands. I tried to catch my breath.
"What are you doing? Are you insane? You scared the hell out of me," I yelled at him then the lights came on.
"Answer my question," He said caressing my lips with his thumb. "None of your business" I replied, obviously irritated.
"Let's make something clear. I want you all to myself. I don't like seeing you with any other guy. What do I have to do to make that clear to you and the British bastard," He said clenching his teeth.
"That's not how it works. Playing sick and childish games won't get you anywhere. I'm not yours, and will never be yours," I furiously. I'm getting sick and tired of this game.
"We'll see about that," He said.
Before I could utter a word, he smashed his lips on mine kissing me hungrily.
Those damn lips of his are my weakness. How can his touch be intoxicating?
I tend to lose my senses when his lips are on mine.
Without fighting it, I found myself kissing him back. I couldn't resist or maybe I didn't want to.
He kissed me like he was trying to prove a point. At first, the kiss was a little aggressive, but he slowed down and started kissing me passionately.
All of a sudden, he stopped and whispered into my ear. "You're mine Jane," He kissed my forehead and walked to his room without saying anything else.
I stood there speechless and breathless.
He knows my weak point.
I am disappointed in myself for kissing back, for wanting him, and for not pushing him.
My head is saying one thing, but my body is saying something else. I can't even follow my words with action.
Not knowing what to say or what to do I just walked into my room slowly.
I couldn't stop thinking about what happened minutes ago. I couldn't sleep. I tried everything but I just couldn't sleep.
The next morning, He apologized for scaring me, but I wasn't ready to forgive him. It's better to stay mad at him.
It's finally the third day we've been in Korea. I saw a lot of interesting places yesterday, and it was awesome. I tried most of the food I've been seeing on social media. I learned how to say easy words like I love you, thank you, goodbye, and hello. I spent all day with Aiden. Springtime is so beautiful in Korea.
Let's just say I came here to have fun, not for business. And I deserve to be fired. I'll take anything to get me away from Liam at this point.
Speaking of that Liam, he told me to get ready by 3 p.m. to catch our flight back home. Aiden told me he would also be leaving the next day.

Liam and John went out minutes ago to see someone and I was told to stay behind.
After packing my clothes I decided to change my dress into a yellow sundress.
I heard a knock on the door. I thought it was Liam, but when I opened the door I saw Aiden staring at his shoes. "Hey!" I said to get his attention. He looked up and smiled. "Oh.. hey can I come in?" He asked.
"Yeah sure," He entered and I closed the door behind him. I gestured for him to sit down. "I just wanted to see you before you leave again," He said. "Nice! Is there something you want to tell me?" I asked.
He was about to say something when someone opened the door.
Liam entered. Immediately he saw Aiden he frowned and hurried towards me. "What's going on?" Liam asked casually. "Aiden came here to say goodbye," I replied while he sat down beside me.
Aiden didn't say anything. "So, Aiden, what do you want to tell me?" I asked curiously.
"Uh... maybe we should talk outside," He said glancing at Liam. I don't like how Liam is making him feel uncomfortable. I was about to reply when my phone's ringtone stopped me.
I checked the caller ID. It's my sister. It's been a long time since we talked, but we both lead busy lives. I picked up my phone.
"Hey, sissy" I answered. I always call her sissy. I heard her brittle voice. "Jane, something happened. You need to come home," She said crying. "What happened?" I asked worriedly. She was quiet on the phone. She didn't answer me.
"Talk to me Julie," I said.
I stood up and started pacing. "Gran...grandfather died," She said crying.
I stopped walking and stood still in shock. I don't understand. How? Why?
He wasn't just my grandfather, he was like a father to us. When our dad wasn't there for us, he was there. He taught us so many things a father should do. I remember how much he loved to play his piano and sing to us.
My sister's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. She was calling my name on the phone. I wanted to answer her, but I couldn't. I just can't seem to form any words.
Aiden and Liam stood up looking at me with concern. I could hear them calling my name, but I couldn't answer them.
How did he die? Was he alone? Was anyone there with him? Was he sick? No one told me he was sick. The last time I spoke to him was three weeks ago.
My family is far away from me, and yet I don't call them as much as I should. My work took over. I was too focused on being successful. I was only gonna go back when I made something out of myself.
No, the truth is that I was too focused on forgetting the past because everything about them and London reminds me of it.
"Jane, are you okay? What happened?" Liam asked snapping me out of my thoughts. "He..he's gone... Grandfather gone," I finally let it out. I turned to face Aiden.
Aiden also seemed confused. "Wait! What?! Grandpa Joe? Died? But... but I saw him before I left. He was fine. He was healthy. What happened?" Aiden asked.
The same questions I'm asking myself. "I need to go. I need to go to London now. I have to see him. Liam please I have to take some days off," I said hurriedly.
"Okay, you know what? Let me call my pilot to get the plane ready. I'll go and get my things. I can't stay anymore. We'll be on our way in the next two hours," Aiden said trying to calm me down.
"No, you can stay. You're not done with your business here. I'll find my way," I said to him. "No, he was like a grandfather to me. I'm going." Aiden insisted.
"I'm going with you. Let's take my jet, it's ready" Liam said. "No, Liam you have a lot of work to do at home. Aiden will take me to London." I said to him.
"No, I insist let's take my jet. I have a factory in London I can use that opportunity to see what's going on there. You can take some days off." He also insisted.
"You don't need to go through that much trouble. We're taking my jet" Aiden said, facing Liam.
"Yours is not ready, mine is ready. So we're taking mine," Liam said firmly clenching his teeth. I could see that they wanted to argue so I stood between them.
"Stop! What's wrong with you guys? If this is how you two are going to act like a child then I'll find my way. I'll fly in a cargo if I have to. I don't need this" I said in a brittle voice.
I haven't shed a single tear and I don't know why. I'm trying to stay strong. I just don't believe he's gone. My mind is telling me when I get home I'm going to see him. Maybe it's just a prank, and they want me to come home.
"Fine. We're going to take yours because it's ready," Aiden said. Liam smirks like he just won a battle. I gave him a mean look and he stopped.
Aiden got on the phone with someone to cancel the private jet he booked for tomorrow.
It's going to take us 11 hours to fly to London. This is going to be the longest flight.
It's been two hours since we left Korea and two hours feels like forever.
"Are you okay?" Aiden asked. I gave him a sad smile "I'm fine," He smiled and nodded.
I sat back to relax and I slept off.
I dreamt about my grandfather and the time we had together. I saw his smiling face and I smiled back.
I felt someone waking me up.
"You've been sleeping for the past three hours and you won't stop crying," Liam said wiping the tears that I didn't know were falling.
"I was crying?" I asked, touching my face.
I was crying. Liam nodded. I saw Aiden sleeping and John reading a magazine.
"You're going to be fine, Jane. Everything will be fine," Liam said, pulling me into a hug. I rested my head on Liam's shoulder and he rested his head on mine. I let out a breath feeling comforted. And with that feeling, I slept
off again.
