I failed to hold in a drunken giggle as the random guy's sweaty hands roamed my body. I looked up, spotting Quinn jump onto some guy's back. I cheered her on, trying to shake the thoughts of Ethan out of my hazy mind. How did this happen? How did the arrogant bad boy find his way into my brain?

I stared at the drunk guy dancing with me, only managing to see a blurry blonde guy. I was far too drunk to see any facial features. He was a blur to me. Despite not seeing what he looked like, I knew he was the complete opposite of Ethan. This guy looked like the type to live with his mom until his thirties. He was dressed in a light blue, short-sleeve shirt and light grey jeans. His hair was jelled to one side and his shoes were polished to perfection. Without a doubt, giving me crazy 'mommy chose my outfit for kindergarten' vibes.

Whereas Ethan was the free-spirited badass. He was tough, independent and serious. He was wearing slim black jeans and a light grey muscle-fit sweater. His hair was slightly jelled but still rough-looking, screaming 'I'm a guy who doesn't give enough shit to spend hours on my hair because I've got better things to do'. He was taking my breath away with just one look my way. A look with those intense, green eyes. A look that said more than words could ever say. Too bad guys are all assholes...and love, for the most part, doesn't exist. Or it exists but is incredibly rare. Or it's unrequited.

"You're really pretty" Blondie smiled down at me, as we swayed to the music. I laughed, bending down to pick up my glass. It was a mix of random alcoholic beverages I found in the kitchen. Might as well add more variation to the already unique concoction I had in my system.

"I'm surprised a girl like you is at Noah's party" He added, watching me down the mix of vodka and a couple more drinks. I downed the remainder of the mixture, ignoring him a little longer. Ignorance is bliss, isn't that what they say? An image of Ethan's green eyes popped into my mind and I shook my head, stumbling a little. The blonde, nameless dude, wrapped his arms around me and I laughed some more. It was officially getting a little too messy for my liking. But I was way too drunk to stop myself.

"I'm here to ruin his life" I grinned, drunkenly pointing at Ethan. The blonde dude looked at him with a knowing look in his eye.

"Ethan? Yeah, I know him" He nodded.

I scrunched my eyebrows, his words registering in my brain."Then I don't wanna know you!" I stabbed his chest with my finger. He laughed, catching me as I nearly fell backward.

"Why do you want to ruin his life?" He asked.

I raised my eyebrows."You have the nerve to question me?" I gasped.

"I'm afraid I do" He nodded, laughing awkwardly. I put a hand to my mouth, trying my best to look shocked. I probably looked stupid, let's be real.

"How rude!" I shook my head, wiping a fake tear.

"You're a great actress" He chuckled, still holding me up so I wouldn't topple over. Suddenly, I was pulled away from blondie and thrown over someone's shoulder. What's with people throwing me over their shoulders today?

"Thanks, I'll take it from here" My abductor spoke to blondie. He had a deep familiar voice, and I couldn't help but feel like I've heard it many times before. I might've been slightly too intoxicated, to be able to remember where I heard it or haven't. What? Whatever.

Blondie waved at me and walked off into the crowd."Put me down" I muttered into my abductor's back, feeling the alcohol whirl around in my stomach. One sudden movement and everyone would be covered in processed booze.

"No" He replied.

I groaned, loudly.

"Hey, moody fucker!" Quinn barged into the situation, thankfully. She blocked our way, waving her hand in my abductor's face. I stretched up and twisted my body to see him better. Oh, crap.

It was Ethan.

"Quinn, let's go," He spoke, calmly."I'll take both of you home"

Quinn scoffed, shaking her head."That's myyyy bitch you stole" She pointed at me, giving me a quick air-kiss, before going back to angrily glaring at Ethan.

I put my hand to my heart."Oh my gosh, my baby! I love you!" I choked up, stretching my arms out to her. She tried to grab them but Ethan gently pushed her away. Excuse me? Asshole.

"Okay, and?" Ethan questioned her.

I groaned, again."So let me go!" I punched his back, receiving a smack to the butt in return. I gasped, rubbing my butt-cheek. Why were his slaps so painful, though?

"Let her go!" Quinn kicked him, almost falling over in the process. I noticed Trent coming up behind her. His face was blurry but something told me that Quinn was about to be in the same position as I was in.

Next thing I knew, Quinn was kicking and screaming on Trent's shoulder as we were being carried outside."You take Quinn's car, I'll take Mel in mine" Ethan told Trent as he slipped me off of his shoulder and placed me against his car. I squinted at him, angrily.

He looked into my eyes for a brief moment, then proceeded to unlock his car."I'm not your toy!" I rejected randomly as he attempted to lift me again, to place me into his car.

He put his hands up in defense."I know, I know! Get in, please" He ran a hand through his hair, motioning to the passenger seat. Trent walked over to us with a very annoyed Quinn in his arms.

"She wants food," He deadpanned, clearly wishing he never interfered.

"Food!" I clapped, excitedly.

Ethan swore under his breath, giving Trent a look of pure exhaustion. Trent grinned, placing Quinn down for the time being."I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering" He winked at Ethan.

I looked at Ethan, who muttered something incoherently. So I plopped into the passenger seat, hitting my head on something by accident."Let's go grocery shopping!" I cheered.

Trent looked at Ethan and they both raised their eyebrows. Quinn laughed, almost falling over."Yeah! Let's goooo!" She punched the air.

"Well, this will be fun" Ethan muttered, making his way to the driver's seat. Oh, you bet it will be.

"Please, Mel. Leave the Peppa pig toy alone" Ethan ran a hand down his face. I squinted my eyes at him, sitting on the grocery store floor next to the huge Peppa pig plush toy.

"For your info, she needs my protection" I slurred, kissing the toy.

"From what? Being cooked?" He raised an eyebrow.

"What the hell, Ethan?!" I gasped, covering Peppa's ears. He bit his lip, trying to hide his amusement.

"What? They even ate bacon in the cartoon! That's cannibalism if you ask me" He mused.

"You're disgusting" I struggled to get up, eventually falling ontop of Peppa."Oops, my bad, girly..." I patted her head. Ethan stood there, watching my pathetic self. At least I'm not a dickhead like you, Ethan.

"There you are" Trent panted, worry taking over his features. Ethan pulled me up onto my feet and my head spun from the sudden movement."I can't find her" Trent tried to catch his breath, shaking his head. My eyes widened.

"You lost Quinny" I gaped, struggling to keep my eyes open.

"No, I didn't lose her. She ran away" He rolled his eyes.

I snorted, walking off. This is ridiculous! I bet I can find her before they can blink.

"Melanie"

I stuck my tongue out and pretended to gag. Hate that name.

"Melanie, stop. Let's find her together"

I mocked him, making ugly faces to myself. Mindlessly, I grabbed a box of cereal as I walked away from him. I inspected the box, staring at the weird animations on it. What a weird looking frog...

I threw the box behind me and entered the snack aisle. Why did I walk off again? Haven't got a single clue.

I grabbed some snacks, humming to myself like the drunk idiot I was. I couldn't remember the last time I was this wasted. Come to think of it, I couldn't remember anything at that moment. I laughed to myself, opening a KitKat. I'll pay for it anyway. Eventually.

Still humming, I strolled down the aisle. The song I was humming, didn't even exist. But that didn't matter, just like everything else.

That was before I bump right into someone. "Fuck, my KitKat!" I squealed, catching it before it hit the floor. The person coughed and I rolled my eyes at them. The ignorant piece of ass nearly knocked me and my KitKat out, and has the nerve to be pissed at me? I rose up, straightening my back in the process. I was ready to give them a piece of my drunk mind when my eyes met the other ones.

I froze, staring into very familiar, grey ones. The eyes I hated so much. The emotionless eyes I always tried not to look into. The drunken, high ones...that haunted me.

"Mom?" I gulped.
