Kasuan sat on the edge of the bed and started to get dressed
" You leaving already ? " Kenisha asked laying naked under the covers, her face bare and her hair a mess.
Kasuan sighed, he put on his pants and shoes and looked back at her " Look, what me and you had going on gotta' end. I love Adryian-
" If you loved her you wouldn't be with me " Kenisha said sitting up and kneeling behind him. She started to rub his back while placing gentle kisses on his neck and shoulder.
Kasuan didn't know how he got into the situation he did but he felt it was time to end it. a month ago around the time his son was born he remembered he was drunk at a club with Devin the next he was in bed with Kenisha and for some reason he couldn't leave her alone. When he disappeared for three weeks he took her with him and she was there for him when he needed her. She was a good person to talk to and she listened to his problems and gave him good advice, the good pussy was just a plus.
Kenisha knew how to play her role as a side piece too, she didn't nag Kasuan about leaving Adryian or wanting more, she didn't try to be petty towards Adryian or tell everybody what they had going on, she just played her part
" We can't do this anymore " Kasuan sighed, it felt wrong now.
" I understand, I'll keep our secret safe with me " she said moving away from him. " but don't come back when you want me " she added
Kasuan shook his head to himself before getting up and leaving. They both knew he'd be back.

Adryian drove home from the clinic with Tania and Keyarri. Kasuan was busy so she had to take Sehkani with them which had her mad cause she didn't like bringing him out the house
" you good?" Adryian asked looking at Tania and then back at the road
" I'm fine" Tania mumbled, she leaned the seat back and closed her eyes. Her body was sore, She had cried that whole morning and was honestly tired. She was mad at herself for even getting involved with Devin
It hurt her to give up her first kid but she was doing what was best, she wasn't ready for a baby
" So what you do with the money Devin gave you ? " Keyarri asked, she didn't have a filter at all.
" I spent it " Tania replied. " I was being spiteful because he wanted me to get rid of it "
" Tania you gotta' slow down.. you catching a label out here " Adryian said honestly. Kasuan told her what folks were saying about Tania, she was having sex with any and everybody now . It was even rumors going around that she was having sex for money. " One day it's gone be worse and you gone catch something that's gone fuck you up for life " Adryian added
" Whatever Adryian " Tania mumbled
Adryian wasn't about to waste her breath anymore, it was up to Tania now to listen and change or do what she wanted, Adryian wasn't about to baby sit her anymore. She dropped Keyarri off at home before pulling up to her Aunt's house.
Adryian stopped Tania before she got out the car. " What's up with you Tee ? " she asked " Like for real, what's going on ? "
Tania looked at her " You just don't get it " she said, Adryian held a confused look on her face. " Ever since you came down here your life has been perfect, you got it all.. I can't even get the nigga I like to like me back. I've always been in your shadow, even when we were younger. You JUST moved down here and people only know me as YOUR cousin "
" My life isn't perfect " Adryian replied
" See, there you go.. you don't even appreciate the little shit. You got the nigga every body wants , a beautiful baby, you're fine as shit and everybody in the hood wants you and you're smart. Hell, you got a nigga to pay off your whole tuition while ima' probably be in debt till' I'm twenty something going to a weak ass school "
" I'm not about to sit and feel sorry for you tee when shit could be good for you too. Instead of worrying about me and what I got going on and trying to compare us, worry about yourself and try to level up. You always worried bout the next bitch that's your problem. You knew Devin wasn't shit and you still fucked with him. My life is far from perfect but I'm not finna' sit up and let it stay bad. You got to do better for real, I can't take care of you forever "
" You don't get it " Tania said, she put her purse on her shoulder and got out the car. " Bye Adryian " she said before closing the door and walking towards her apartment.

* 2 months later *
" Why is it so cold ? " Kasuan shivered helping Adryian get her suitcase out the rental car they had gotten for the the weekend
" This is what I had to grow up with " Adryian replied
They had taken a trip to Chicago for her mothers birthday weekend and ever since they had touched down all Kasuan had been doing was complaining about the temperature. When they finally got settled, Kasuan was dead tired, he took Sehkani and went to Adryian's old room for a nap.
" Where you going this late ? " Adryian's mother asked, sitting at the kitchen table looking through old bills. It wasn't even late Adryian thought, it was only 7 in the after noon
Adryian zipped up her coat " I'll be right back " she said.
" Don't go running into trouble now " her mother said giving her a look, Adryian chuckled before leaving out the house
Before going to her destination she made her way to the Hot chocolate stand that her and her older brother always went to, nobody made hot chocolate like them and Adryian missed it. Memories flashed through her head of her and her brother and she walked to the near by cemetery where he was buried.
Adryian went to the flower shop she always went to-to get flowers for her brother nearby. Usually the shop was bright and full of good energy and friendly faces but today, the owner of the shop Mrs.whitaker and her husband were the only ones there. Mrs.whitaker stood at the register and watched Adryian look around while her husband cleaned some vases. Usually they would play music, today the store was quiet and empty. Adryian thought nothing of it though because it was almost closing time.
She grabbed a bouquet of roses and smelled them before walking up to the register
" Hey " she smiled, Mrs.whitaker gave her a fake smile back before her face returned back to its resting bitch look " long time, no see.. is everything alright ?" Adryian asked
" Just feeling a little, ... under the weather " Mrs.whitaker replied eyeing her husband
" Well I hope you feel better .. "
" Thank you " Mrs.whitaker replied giving a soft smile " will this be all ?" She asked, Adryian nodded her head yes " that'll be twenty dollars and thirty nine cents "
Adryian pulled out the money and passed it to her " Thank you " she smiled, she turned to leave and Mrs.whitaker stopped her
" Congratulations on the baby " Mrs.whitaker managed to say without sounding too nervous
Adryian flashed a smile " Thank you " she said, she didn't remember telling her but she must've seen the baby on her mother's social media account.
" You're welcome, stay safe " Mrs.whitaker said waving goodbye, Adryian walked out the shop and Mrs.whitaker rushed to her husband
" Why didn't you make a move " she said angrily
Mr.whitaker motioned her to look ahead, she looked outside and two cars sat in the parking lot. " Witnesses " he said
" Do you think this is going to work ? "
" I know it will " He replied " I'll call Tyriq now "
Adryian walked out to where her brother was buried, she didn't plan on being at the cemetery for long. She kneeled down and looked at his tomb stone, she missed him a lot
" Hey bj " she sighed, she wiped the tear that fell down her face and placed the roses next to his tombstone " I miss you so much " she said
Two tall men walked up from behind and one pressed the barrel of a gun to the back of her head, she jumped up and looked around, cars surrounded the area and men stood by them with guns, they wore all black and had on mask. Adryian cursed under her breath and slowly stood up with her hands up
" Why didn't you tell me she was this fine " one guy said in a raspy voice
" I would fuck " the other guy said that was holding the gun to her head. Tyriq smacked the back of his head and gave him a look. He winced in pain. " My bad boss "
Tyriq kneeled down behind her " Missed me ? " he said into her ear.
Adryian's eyes widened, he grabbed her by her arm and lifted her up so she was standing on both feet. They led her to a black suv with tinted windows. Mrs.whitaker got out the car and started to tie Adryain's hands behind her back, she had a shocked look on her face
Adryian looked over at Tyriq " You don't have to do this " she said. Two men grabbed her and started to put her inside of the back of the truck " Tyriq... Tyriq " She yelled out but he ignored her. One man blindfolded her before speeding off. The car was silent and she didn't know where she was going. Adryian tried her best to stay calm, she knew she had to play it smart if she wanted to see her son again.
An hour later somebody yanked her out the car and walked her towards a house deep in the woods, she couldn't see anything, all she could hear was the sounds of leaves crunching beneath their feet. She almost tripped over the few sets of steps in front of the house before they walked inside, they took her down to the basement and sat her down on a chair. A guy took the blind folds off her face and she looked up at Tyriq
Tyriq grabbed her face and aggressively kissed her, she tried to move away from him the best she could before biting his lip.
" Shit " He yelled, stood up and rubbed his lip that had started to bleed. He chuckled before slapping her across the face
" Why are you doing this ? " she asked
" Why'd you have to leave me for that scrub ? " Tyriq asked " He started this war, if he really loved you do you think he'd put you in harms way like this? I love you Adryian, you should be with me.. Sehkani is my son and you know it " he said
Adryian looked at him like he was crazy, she didn't know Tyriq had deep mental problems but it was definitely showing now. " Tyriq.. I already told you, he's not your son. Just leave me alone "
" Here you go with the lies Adryian, all you do is lie " he yelled before walking away and thinking to himself
Adryian looked at her surroundings, the basement dark and cold, there was a pallet and a blanket on the floor and a bathroom. Two men stood at the stairs leading upstairs, and one stood behind her. There was also a window but it was covered with metal bars.
Tyriq walked back over to her and kneeled down in front of her. He placed a hand on her face and caressed it, she made a face. " I've missed you so much.. being inside of you" he said " I know you miss me too " he said sliding his hand up her leg, she moved around the best she could before spitting in his face again
He stood up and wiped his face with his jacket sleeve, he held a look of disappointment. He shook his head before he back handed her hard on the face again.
" You disrespectful bitch " he said
At Adryian's mother's house
Sehkani began to cry loudly in his bassinet waking Kasuan up from his deep sleep. He quickly sat up and walked over to see what was wrong with him, he picked him up and began to rock him
" What's wrong lil' man ? " Kasuan asked " You hungry ? " he checked his watch " Yeah you are, it's time to eat "
He grabbed the baby bag and walked to the kitchen to make him a bottle. He rocked Sehkani as the bottle warmed up and looked around
" Where's Adryian ? " he asked her mother, Paula who was still looking through the bills on the phone
Paula moved her phone from her ear " She said she was going out right quick, she'll be back "
" She didn't say where she was going ? "
" I know my daughter .. she probably just went to go see old friends around the neighborhood " Paula said before bringing her phone back to her ear and continuing her conversation
Kasuan pulled his phone out his pocket and called Adryian four times and got no answer. He walked to India's room " Aye you talked to Adryian ? " he asked
" No I thought she was in the room with you " India said
Kasuan rushed back to the kitchen and grabbed the bottle before going back to India's room. " I need you to watch him for me " he said passing her Sehkani and his bottle
" Why can't you watch him " She replied
" I just need you to do it " he said starting to leave out
" Where is my sister? What's going on ? " India said with a confused look on her face. Kasuan left the room, he had a gut feeling something bad was going on. He threw on a black hoodie and a jean jacket over it, put on a pair of distressed skinny jeans and a pair of grey Nike running shoes before leaving the apartment
Good thing flew all his boys and a few of his workers out just Incase. He called Jayceon as he made his way to the Airbnb they had rented for the weekend.
" Yo what the fuck you mean Adryian missing " Jayceon yelled into the phone
" Adryian missing, I don't know where she went but she ain't answering the phone and I got a bad feeling it's Tyriq "
" How could it be Tyriq? Nobody even knows we here " Jayceon replied
" I don't know but I'm on the way to where you at now "
" iight I'll call up the guys " Jayceon said before hanging up the phone.
Adryian couldn't be missing he thought to himself. If something was to happen to her, he didn't know how he would go on, he would blame himself forever.
