Before I start, I will say this right now: I WILL NOT BE FOLLOWING THE ORIGINAL STORY OF RE: ZERO. I will incorporate several elements from the story, but I will branch off into my own story. Also note that I do not remember the exact events of the story, so expect quite a few things to change.

Stand: Fall Out Boy

Stats:

Power: A

Speed: B

Range: B

Precision: C

Potential: D

"Is that all sir?" You looked up at the cashier, who had finished scanning your items.

"Yes, That will be all." You responded, your voice hoarse from misuse.

"That'll be 15 dollars 17." The cashier handed you your bag as you handed them a 20 dollar bill.

"Keep the change." You grabbed your receipt and turned, exiting the door.

Out of the gas station, you took your backpack off, before arranging the contents. All it was, was a novel you had been reading, a water bottle, and a black case containing three very important items you had been ordered to protect with all your strength. As you brought your newly purchased items into the bag, something crunched behind you, around the corner.

Instinctively, you turned to the source of the noise, a humanoid figure appearing behind you. It was somewhat muscular, wearing the yellow rubber hazmat suit. On it's chest and the backs of it's hands were circles, all containing the hazmat symbol. It wore a gas mask and welding goggles. You scanned the darkness, intent on finding whatever made the noise. When nothing was spotted, you sighed.

"I'm just tired." You muttered aloud, before putting the rest of your items in your bag. It was mostly snacks, with a large bottle of soda, which you planned on drinking when you got really tired.

You yawned as you continued walking. You were ordered by your father, who worked for a large company known as the Speedwagon Foundation, to deliver something to an abandoned storage facility. You didn't know what you were delivering, only that there were three of them. You didn't even know why you had to do this at night. All you knew was that it had something to do with your stand, Fall Out Boy.

You shrugged to yourself as you patted your bag, making sure it was still there. If anyone tries to rob you and run, you had the tools to catch them. Fall Out Boy had three main abilities you could easily utilize: A beam of heat you called Phoenix Strike(more like Phoenix Snipe, But Whatever), an ability that let you see in the dark, with perfect thermal vision, which you called Light The Dark, and a third secret ability, which not even your father knew about.

As you walked, you stopped at an intersection, pressing the button to cross. After a minute, the light turned red, and the crossing light flashed. You began to cross, yawning again, closing your eyes.

"Hey!" You snapped your eyes open to see an.... unexpected sight. Instead of the dark street you were in before, you found yourself in a dirty street, surrounded by humans.... except they weren't. Most of the ones passing you had traits of animals. You looked around, making sure you weren't hallucinating.

"Excuse me." You looked down and right to see an old lizard woman.

"You were right about to walk straight into the road. Are you alright?" She asked you. You nodded, taken by surprise.

"I wasn't watching where I was going. Please, excuse me." You responded.

"Oh alright. Make sure you keep an eye on where you're going next time." She said, walking off. You nodded, your heart racing.

Where am I? You thought to yourself, looking around. This was not the street you were on. Eventually, you managed to calm yourself.

"Hey, that girl's gonna get hit!" You snapped your head up at the shout to see a little girl who had fallen in the road, with a carriage fast approaching her.

What the- as you watched, a person in knights armor rolled into view, snatching the girl to safety. The people around you burst into applause as you started walking, trying to get a feel for where you had disappeared to. As you walked, you soon happened upon a street that held multiple shop stalls, judging from the several items on display. Trying to read the signs brought no help to you. It was complete gibberish. You looked around, noticing a boy in a track jacket pull some coins out of his pocket, before showing them to a fruit vendor.

"What is this?" The vendor asked. Before the boy could answer, the vendor continued.

"This is foreign currency, this is worthless here." He stated. As the boy slipped the coins into his pocket, you got a good look at them. They were yen.

Is he also not from here? You asked yourself. As you started to walk to him, he started to walk off. You started to jog after him.

"Excuse me, you there in the track jacket!" You yelled out. The boy turned around in confusion to see you.

"Um... hello?" The boy spoke in perfect English. Something dawned on him as he looked at you.

"Wait, you called this a track jacket?" He asked. You nodded, and he spoke again.

"Does that mean you're from-"

"Earth?" You interrupted. He nodded.

"Japan, what about you?" He asked.

"(Country of origin)." You responded. The boy scratched his head.

"Strange. My name's Natsuki Subaru. What's yours?" He asked.

"Y/n L/n." You answered.

"Well, it's nice to meet someone I can relate with, L/n." Subaru responded.

"Um, you can just called me Y/n." You responded, looking around. You had forgotten that the Japanese refer to people by their surname.

"Alright Y/n. Do you have any idea where we are?" Subaru asked. You shook your head.

"I just kinda arrived and almost walked into the street." You responded. Subaru sighed.

"Same, except I didn't walk into the street." He mumbled. You smiled at this.

"Good for you. Listen, how about we split up? Neither of us know what's happening, so we can search around the town, find what we can, and meet up here at, say, sunset?" You offered. Subaru went over it for a moment, before nodding.

"Yeah. Meet at the shopping stalls at sunset?" He asked, probably double checking. You nodded.

"You go... that way." Subaru pointed behind you. You shrugged.

"Alright. You're going the opposite direction?" You asked. Subaru nodded.

"I was planning on doing that already. Don't get yourself killed, Alright?" Subaru asked. You scoffed.

"I should be asking you that, but whatever. See you at sunset." You said, turning around.

"See you at sunset." Subaru responded, before you both went to explore.

Honestly, this town was both really interesting, and really boring. There was so much to see, and at the same time, you couldn't read anything, so you had no idea what was happening. You passed by shops, what seemed to be residential buildings, before you stopped for a while. Leaning against a building, you looked around.

You hadn't found anything of interest, nor have you learned anything. As you pushed off, ready to explore more, your eyes were caught by a strange looking building. It looked like someone had tried to disguise a church as a normal house disguised as an abandoned home. Interested, you walked to the open entrance.

Inside was a single person, neatly arranging books, seemingly after what seemed to be a session of some kind of church. As you were about to walk away, he caught sight of you.

"Oh, hello." He called out. With no choice but to respond, you called inside.

  "Hi."

"What brings you here, young man?" The man asked. You shrugged.

"Just exploring." The man gestures inside.

"It is hot outside. Come in, it would be nice to have company." You shrugged and stepped inside.

"Do shut the door behind you. It seems the previous staff forgot to shut it, and let out the cool air." As he turned around to stack some books, you summoned your stand, which grabbed the door and shut it as you approached the man.

"Say, Boy, you look like you're new here." The man commented as he turned to face you. You nodded.

"I am. Just passing through though." You remarked.

"Ah. Do you know what building you stand in?" He asked. You shook your head.

"You are in the church of the Crusaders. Do you know what that is?" He asked again. You shook your head again.

"No, I don't." The man laughed.

"I'm not surprised. This place isn't quite known. Many people worship the dragon, and so do the members of this church. However, the people here also recognize a group of heroes, lost to time." He stated. You sat down in a chair, interested.

"And they're called the crusaders?" You asked. The man nodded.

"Yes! So far, we have found writings of Four of these groups. We call them generations of crusaders. Each has taken an impossible task to save the world from an unknown threat, a power which could rival the gods!" The man declared. You cocked a brow.

"Tell me about these generations, please." You asked. The man seemed happy to answer.

"Of course! We know the most about the first generation, which we call the Shooting Star Crusaders, or the Stardust Crusaders for short. Five men, joined later by a sixth, embarked on an impossible quest to stop a god who wished for darkness to fall upon this world. On their journey, they stopped many of their worst enemies, all gathered by this evil deity." The man spoke. This was starting to sound similar to a story your dad told you.

"This man had control over time, and made a terrible foe for the Stardust Crusaders. In the final battle, half of them were killed, and the only way this god could be stopped, was with the leader of the Crusaders, a man we call The Star, to steal this power for himself. We call the battle that ensued, The End Of The World." Those Words clicked within you. The World, The Star. Your father told you a story of a group of men that had went to stop an old enemy, who had a stand with the power to stop time. You bit your lip before asking.

"What set these Crusaders apart from the general public?" You questioned. The man's face lit up as he answered.

"These men all had strange powers, which aided in defeating this god. There was the Star, who had unmatched speed and power, the Seer, who could predict the future, the Knight, with sword skills none could beat, the Magician, who had complete control of heat and flames, the Emerald, with the power to posses others and shoot gems at unimaginable speeds, and finally, the Fool, who controlled sand." The man provided all the info needed. You heard this story, and it seemed this guy was missing a few details, such as the identity of the men he described, and the name of the abilities they held. He could only be talking about stands.

"What of the other generations?" You asked, to which the man nodded.

"We have the Diamond Crusaders, where a large group took on the lord of destruction, with the power to destroy anything he touches, even the very air. After them came the Golden Crusaders, who went against a man with the power to erase time as we know it, and lastly, the Stone Crusaders, who went against a man who tried to become a god. Those are all we know of." The man said. All of that matched with things you heard from your father and his stories from the company he worked for. It was all stands. You swallowed as you stood up.

"Well sir, it was great to here this from you, but I need to go. I promised to meet a friend soon and-"

"Oh of course! I would hate to interrupt your day any more than I already have. Do have a great day sir, and thank you for stopping by." The man said. You smiled and nodded at him as you left the building. The sky was growing dark, so you had to head back to the shopping area to meet back up with Subaru.

As you walked, your backpack bouncing on your back, your head was filled with thoughts.

That man was talking about the stories of various groups of stand users, who had to stop another one from performing their evil deeds. But all that happened in your world, in Japan, Italy, America, not wherever this was, so how could they know?

You stopped thinking over it as you looked at the sky. The sun was setting, but Subaru hadn't arrived yet. Where could he be? You looked around as the sun dipped lower into the sky. As the shadows expanded, you couldn't help but feel a bit of anxiety.

Your stand, Fall Out Boy, got its power from radiation, mostly solar radiation, so being out of the sun left you on limited energy. As the sun got lower and night descended, you decided to look for Subaru.

As you stepped forward to start searching, your vision distorted, and you fell. You couldn't breath. It was getting dark. As you tried to take a deep breath in, your vision went black.

Your vision cleared up slowly, and you found yourself almost exactly where you were before, but it was light out. You looked around to see Subaru, in front of the shop owner he had tried giving yen to.

  What?

And so the story begins. You guys voted that I use my own stand in this story, and so I did. I hope you enjoy.
