Stars Dance
Chapter 4
-
Selena's Point of View

I WOKE UP early for the class that I had early this morning. I wrote the first part of my introduction about Zayn last night. I looked over on my night stand where my notebook lied, then at Lucy who was knock out asleep. Her words about Zayn reminisced in my brain, and then I took a glance at my notebook once again and went to reach for it, to see what I had written:
-

His name is Zayn Malik, and his middle name is Javaad. He is 21 years old and doesn't exactly know what he is here for, yet. However, he explains to me that is mother gave him his birth name with an "I" though later on in his late teens he decided to change it to a "Y" because it appealed to him more. Zayn is from a town in England called Bradford. He explained to me that his household and family life was and still is mostly made up of only women, and said nothing about a father figure in his life and I didn't want to press further even though for this project I know I am suppose too.
-
Setting the notebook down in my lap, I sighed and lied back onto my bed only for a few minutes, thinking on how I was suppose to approach Zayn with these questions, however he seemed like a one word, one answer type of guy and would grow angry if you pressed on him for further questions. I didn't know him well enough and I wasn't comfortable in asking him just yet either, even though I know I should for the sake of this project paper.

Zayn's Point of View

I was just walking out of my dorm, when I got a phone call from my mother saying that my father wanted to see me. That son of a bitch never showed up here unless it was to get me out of something. My mum was one that called up my father from the states where he lived with his new family, to get my ass out of Bradford because I was doing some pretty fucked up shit and she could no longer control me. Then that bastard showed up one day and locked me here in this university, trust me I wanted to leave but I for once sat down and thought about my actions and everything I was doing and way my mother decided to put me here.
-
I stayed and haven't looked back since. At first shit around here was boring but a few familiar faces popped up here and there and I settled here since. Now, with Selena around I didn't plan on leaving anytime soon. I headed towards the café in which my mother had told me my father was. I walked in the café and noticed a lonely man at one of the tables in a business suit sipping into a coffee mug.
-
I sighed and I didn't want to do this, I approached him and didn't even announce my arrival, when I just sat down in front of him. "What do you want?" I stated in a hurry. "I have a class in a few and for the first time, I rather not be late."
-
"Zayn son, I'm trying." He stated. "I have been trying for five months now." He says.
-
"You can keep trying but I want nothing to do with you." I tell him in whisper. "You have some nerve calling my mother for information on me. Leave me the fuck alone." I tell him.
-
"I am a changed man. You have to believe me, I am trying to make peace with you, your mother and sisters." He says.
-
I scoff and laugh breathlessly. "Every time you come up here to talk to me, you only make a fool of yourself." I tell him. "Nothing you say or do will change my mind, just keep paying my college, and leave me alone. That's all you have to do as a father, not my dad, but my father." I tell him. "This loving son nature that you want from me, isn't going to grow for you ever." I admit. "I don't feel and will never feel that for you, you killed it in a matter of seconds, and it had been dead for 10 years." I tell him. "You're wasting your time." I admit. "Put all that energy, into your new family and leave mine alone." I say before he even gets a chance to speak, I get up from the table and walk out of the café angrily.

Selena's Point of View

I was walking towards the building where my class was, when I spotted Zayn walking the same direction he looked angry and his eyes were set where he was going. He pushed past anything and everything, that he didn't even notice me. I trailed right behind him, thinking he was going into our lecture hall he walked right past it. I couldn't help but grow curious and looked into the lecture hall as well before walking past it as well and following Zayn.
-
He took a turn down this hallway that was rather dark and walked into a room with a red light above it and closed it shut behind him. I look down the hall before I walked through it as well. Hoping that the door wasn't locked shut, I turned the door knob slightly and peaked in. My eyes grew wide when I noticed that Zayn was destroying the room from top to bottom. I could hear the tossing of things around and the sound of glass shattering everywhere. Suddenly everything stopped and he sat in sofa that was against the wall.
-
Without thinking I walked in and the creak of the door caught his attention. "Selena." He stated.
-
"Are you ok?" I whispered, noticing the mess that he had created before looking back at him and where he sat.
-
"Leave." He said in monotone.
-
"Zayn, what's wrong?" I ignored his plea and walked slowly towards him, finding myself sitting on the sofa next to him.
-
"Shouldn't you be in class? What are you doing here?" He said.
-
"I noticed you didn't walk into the lecture either, and you looked upset as well, I couldn't help but follow you." I admitted.
-
Zayn glanced at me. "I want to remind you that this?" He motioned the distance between him and I. "Is only for a project." He stated. "Don't get any ideas." He said.
-
I scoffed and nearly chuckled. "Bold of you to assume, I would ever lay eyes on you." I told him. "So don't flatter yourself." I rested my head on my hands. "I just grew curious that's all." I lift my shoulders carelessly.
-
"And why not?" He questioned. "Now I'm curious." He admits. "Everyone wants to be with me. Everyone." He strains.
-
"I'm not everyone." I say carelessly. "I'm not the kind of girls that just throw themselves at you for a chance to be with you." I confess. "Once this project is over, we will have no reason to cross paths ever again." I tell him.
-
"Something tells me otherwise." He says scooting closer to me. "Everything coming out of your mouth, sounds like bullshit to me." He says.
-
"What makes you believe otherwise?" I raise an eyebrow at him.
-
"You." He eyes my lips. "I'd like to learn more about you." He whispers. "Something tells me that you don't let your guard down so easily."
-
I clear my throat. "Anyway, since we're not going to class." I say, setting my bookbag onto the ground and taking out my notebook with a pen and holding it in my lap. "You wanna continue on this project?"
-
"Are you always this boring?" He chuckles.
-
He takes the notebook from my grasp and flips through the pages, until he finds his introduction paragraph. He reads it and then glances at me. "That's the introduction paragraph that I wrote about you. Short and to the point." I explain.
-
"You wrote this about me?" He slightly smiles.
-
"You really didn't give me much and I was really too afraid to ask." I admit.
-
"I haven't started yours yet." He admits. "I need to know more about you in other ways before I can write a paper." He says, in a low voice, eyeing my frame. "About you, I'm still trying to figure you out." He smirks.
-
"I've said enough so you could write at least your introduction paragraph about me." I sigh.
-
"There's other things I don't know about you." He says. "The way you think." He smiles, pushing away strains of my hair away from my face. "What triggers you."
-
"Triggers me in what ways?" I question.
-
"Emotionally." He says. "Mentally, and sexually." He said eyeing my lips before he pushes his own against mine.
-
His touch only fueled me further, and a voltage of what seemed like electricity jolted through my nervous system. I was caught in between Zayn's reins and I didn't want it to stop. He pressed his mouth onto mine even more and took my bottom lip in between his teeth. He moaned lowly that is sent shivers down my spine. "Selena, oh Selena." He whispered. "There's something about you." He admitted. "You drive me insane and you don't even you're doing it." He admits. "From the moment I saw you, I needed to have you." He said. "For me, and only me." He admitted breathlessly against my lips.
-
I've never had such a passion ignited inside of me. Not like this, not from anymore. For the first time I wanted more. I yearned for more, Zayn was a closed book but I wanted to open it. He lighted something in me that I knew I should admit to him that I feel. I need to stop this before, this got out of hand. "Zayn please stop." I said, breaking out contact and wiping my lips.
-
I stood up from the sofa where we sat and I paced the shattered mess of a room. "You're just so confusing." I whispered to myself, I don't think he heard me.
-
"Is something wrong?" He said standing up from the sofa.
-
"I just...this is too much for me." I admitted. "One thing led to another and I just-..." I said holding my hands up to my lips. "This isn't right, none of this is right." I whispered lowly, forgetting that he was even here.
-
"Why isn't this right?" He questioned.
-
My eye darted towards him realizing that he caught onto what I was saying. "It's just-...I've never, things were leading in another direction and I've never done anything like that. I've had a boyfriend, but I've never been touched like that." I whispered the last part out of embarrassment.
-
"And you trust me enough to tell me this?" He added.
-
I sighed, knowing it was too good to be true. "Go ahead Zayn and tell the whole campus that 'm a virgin. I knew your act of kindness, you weren't doing for free either." I roll my eyes.

***

Zayn's Point of View

I never met a girl like her. One that took stance in her own thoughts and feelings. Every girl on this campus wanted to be with me, and they would stop at nothing to get it. I've been with a variety of girls, but none like her. From her shy timid stance, at the Frat New Years party a few days ago, she wasn't like the girls she was with.
-
I couldn't sit here and write a paper about her, when in reality I knew nothing about it. It would be dumb as fuck if I just bullshitted through the whole paper. She actually showed an interest in me and wanted to know more about me. In a non sexual way. That she didn't know anything about that, only made me want to know her more. I wasn't how anyone made me out to be, I am just a troubled by with dark thoughts, that I rather keep to myself. I held up a guard to keep people out because no one at least I believed should know me at such a personal level.
-
However, the girl that stood right in front of me, who was whispering things to herself, not being able to process the fact that I had said all those things to her ears, saw past that. She saw right past my personal shield that I held up for so long. I looked over at the girl who was leaning against the tables that I had made a mess with the glass beakers all scattered in glass
whispering things to herself and wouldn't even dare look at me in the eyes.
-
I approached her slowly and took her hands into mine. "Selena listen to me." I added. Her eyes became watery when I took my index finger from under her chin and turned her glance towards me. "Whatever you may have heard about me, in reality between you and I here in this room alone? I'm anything but." I explain. "I'm complicated, I have a complicated past." I confess.
-
"Thank you so much." She whispered.
-
I didn't hesitate for a second to attach my lips to hers, except this time she wasn't against it. She molded her lips against my own and I felt her tear touch on my own skin. With my hand I pushed the scattered glass from the table and I lifted her up and sat her onto the table. She wore a dress so that allowed me to stand in between her legs. I cupped her face and kissed her with such intensity that with each breath a moan escaped my lips. "You're so beautiful." I bit on her bottom lip and pulled her closer to me by her waist.
-

We were both so caught in the moment that we didn't hear the door creak open. "Selena what the hell are you doing?" I knew that voice all too well. It is the voice that haunted me all first semester of college. I turned to look at the shadow that occupied the door. It was Lucy and she looked very angry. I stepped away from Selena and wiped my lips from the lingering touch of her lips that just made we want more.
-
Selena hopped off of the table, and took a step closer to the door where Lucy stood angrily, with a pile of photographs in her grasp. "Lucy I-I can explain." Selena exclaimed.
