Y/N's POV
We all made our way back to the classroom. At this point, I could barely think straight. My head ached from having used my quirk so much today. Luckily, I didn't use it all in one short burst, otherwise I would have landed myself in yet another coma. I walked into class and immediately collapsed in my seat. Sho-chan made his way over to me.
"Are you doing all right?" he asked.
"Don't worry, I'm perfectly peachy!" I flashed him a smile. I then saw Ochaco-chan enter through the door with Izu-kun.
"Ochaco-chan!" I waved her over. "You did great! I would have gone to you after the fight, but knowing you, you would want some time to think about what had happened." I then pulled her into a hug.
"Thanks, Y/N-chan!" She gave me a big smile. "You know me best!"
"That's why we're best friends!" I said, laughing. We began giggling together as Izu-kun and Sho-chan just stared at us.
"Well.. ummm.... what do boyfriends do when their girlfriend is occupied with something else?" Izu-kun asked Sho-chan.
"I think we kind of just wait for them to finish doing whatever they are doing." Both me and Ochaco-chan stopped laughing. Slowly, both of our faces turned into a bright shade of red.
"What are you two talking about!!" We both screamed in unison at the boys. They immediately began laughing. "Rude!!" We somehow managed to scream in unison again. The boys looked at each other.
"Do you think our girlfriends are secret soul sisters?" asked Izu-kun.
"Deku!!" screamed Ochaco-chan.
"Possibly." replied Sho-chan.
"Sho-chan!!" I screamed.
By now the class was staring at us. Everyone had wide eyes.
"Hey, Ochaco-chan..." I whispered to my bestie. "Why don't you just float us into the next solar system?" I asked.
"I don't know if I'd last that long, but believe me when I say I'm willing to try." We then bolted for the window. Just as we were about to make a jump for it, we were both grabbed by our waists. Sho-chan had wrapped his arms around me while Ochaco-chan was caught in Izu-kun's grasp.
"Let us go!" I screamed.
"Yeah!" screamed Ochaco-chan.
"Hey, Midoriya, what do you do when your girlfriend tries to run away by jumping out of the window?" asked Sho-chan. My face was practically on fire.
"I don't think this is normal... Maybe we should teach them a lesson." replied Izu-kun.
"Don't you dare! I have the entire UA student body to back me up!" I screamed.
"And I got Y/N to back me up!" screamed Ochaco-chan.
"You're lucky I used my quirk so much earlier today!!" I screamed.
"If you hadn't, I wouldn't be taking this gamble." shrugged Sho-chan. I suddenly came up with an idea.
"Hey Sho-chan~" He looked down at me questioningly. He gave me a look that said 'What the hell do you think you're doing?' "I'm visiting someone tomorrow~ I'm baking a cake and I'll make you one as well if you let me go~" He immediately let me go. "I'm free!!" I yelled. I looked over to see Ochaco-chan still trapped.
"Hey Izu-kun~" Food worked for Sho-chan, what would work on Izu-kun? Then it hit me. "There's a reeeeaaaally rare All Might figurine that was released last year~ There's only five of it in the world~! All Might owns 2, I own one, and a friend of mine owns the other two~" His eyes widened. "If you let Ochaco-chan go, I'll give you one~" He immediately let go of Ochaco-chan.
"Success!" We cheered.
"Just to be clear, we're talking about the golden All Might figurine which was released last November in only the USA, right?!"
"How did you know?" I asked.
"It was either that or the rose gold one, apparently there's 5 but no one claims to have any of them."
"I actually have all 5..." I admitted. His eyes widened.
"H-how?!"
"It was released in America on April 23rd but All Might wanted to give them to me for my birthday. He wanted me to be the only one with it, so he travelled all throughout America until he got all of the figurines." Izu-kun just stared at me in shock. I guess he couldn't quite process the information I had just given him.
"W-wait, so you're serious about the golden one, right?"
"Why wouldn't I be? Give me a moment, I can go get it right now." I was about to teleport, but Sho-chan stopped me.
"You're going to pass out at this rate."
"You're right..."
"Sooo... Where's Aizawa?" asked Mina.
"Yeah, we've been in the classroom for a while and he's still not here." I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. It was a text message from Aizawa.
Eraser:
I won't be able to make it to class. Tell them that there will be a two day break and that they are dismissed.
Flower Queen:
Alright!
I walked to the front of the class.
"Okay, everybody! I have just been informed that there will be no school tomorrow or the day after tomorrow so use this time to rest! That is all, you are all dismissed!"
I grabbed my bag and walked out the door. I waited at the school gates for Sho-chan.
"I'm going to visit someone important to me tomorrow, want to come?" I asked.
"I plan on visiting my mom." he replied.
"What time?"
"At around 2:00" he replied.
"That's the same time I plan on visiting my friend..."
"After, do you want to go to meet up at a café?"
"Sure. Don't forget, you promised me you'd make a cake."
"I'd never forget!"
"Also, you said something about April 23rd and All Might getting you a bunch of figurines for your birthday. Is your birthday April 23rd?"
"Yup! What's yours?"
"Mine is January 11th."
"Cool! It's like you were literally born to be number one!" He looked at me confused. "January 11th! 1/11 (or 11/1 depending on where you live)."
"Oh... I wonder if my dad planned my birthday as well..." he said, laughing. I began laughing with him and we eventually reached my house.
"Stay for a while!" I said, dragging Sho-chan inside. "Since you can't come with me to visit my friend, I'd like to tell you about her!"
"You seem very happy to be talking about her."
"Of course! She was actually my very first friend here! She's also the person I told you about when I suggested you visit your mom AND she's the reason why I absolutely love the color pink!"
"And here I was thinking you liked pink because it was the color of the sakura blossoms and in a way, it represents your quirk."
"Nope! It's all because of her!"
"Is she also the reason why you're always smiling?"
"Partially!"
"I'll have to thank her then."
I rested my head on Sho-chan's lap as I lay on the sofa.
"Let's start off with why she became my first friend. When I was initially discovered, the people didn't trust me. I was constantly paranoid and kept my guard up. I wouldn't trust anyone. Not even my own mother... Every time someone tried to approach me, I would either run away or bombard them with petals."
"That must have been very pleasant for the people who were on the receiving end..." I giggled before returning to the story.
"At first, they didn't know what to do with me, so they sent me to a mental hospital. Not one of those places you'd see in a horror movie or anything like that. It was a place where people who were said to have depression and stuff like that were sent. It's also a normal hospital. The second and third floors were for the mental patients, while the rest were rooms for surgeries and recoveries and other stuff."
"So they thought you had depression?" asked Sho-chan.
"No, they just didn't know where to put me. Eventually, I warmed up to the nurses there and I went with them to deliver food and stuff daily to the other patients who stayed there. Most of them would ignore us, but one woman always greeted us with a smile. Her eyes always seemed sad, but she kept a smile on her face. Soon enough, we got to know each other and I started spending my days in her ward instead of mine. I would only return at night to sleep. I stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks before I was permitted to live with my mom."
"What about the whole thing about pink?"
"Oh! That was when I first started getting to know each other. We asked each other questions, but when she asked me what my favorite color was, I couldn't answer. She then told me I had a 'pink aura' around me. I told her it was probably just my quirk, but she said it wasn't."
"Pink aura? Your quirk?"
"If you pay attention, I glow a light pink when my quirk is activated." I began summoning petals.
"Stop! You're supposed to rest!"
"Don't worry, summoning petals doesn't do anything. I could coat the entirety of Japan without getting even the slightest headache. Look!" I held up my hand to show Sho-chan the faint pink glow that came from my skin.
"That's really pretty."
"That's what she said too."
"Are you sure this isn't the reason?"
"She told me it was because of my personality. She said that the color pink symbolized hope. At the time, I felt like I had lost all hope. Although I was free from my father's grasp, I couldn't help but feel like something was missing. Not to mention, in the back of my mind I always considered the possibility that my dad was hiding around a corner, ready to take me back. She also said that it was related to warm and comforting feelings. She said that my presence made people feel calm. No one had said that to me before. Her words were exactly what I needed to hear at the time. For the first time in my life I found someone I knew I could trust."
"Well, whoever your friend is, they aren't wrong."
"Well, that's just about it!"
"Are you going to make the cakes now or tomorrow?"
"Jeez, always thinking about food." I laughed. "I still need to go to the grocery store to get the ingredients."
"I'll come with you."
"It's already 5:00 p.m. and the sun is beginning to set."
"Exactly why I should go with you. After all, you can't use your quirk for a while."
"Fine." I gave in. I was too tired to argue with him today. I quickly grabbed my stuff and we headed out the door. I was pretty cold and I was only wearing the shirt and leggings I had made with my petals before. I was too out of it to make myself a jacket now. Subconsciously, I held onto Sho-chan's left arm. It was warm and comforting. We eventually reached the store. I grabbed some flour, eggs, sugar, butter, milk, frosting, and many more items. After grabbing the items I needed for the cakes, I made my way towards the snack aisle. Sho-chan and I split up at some point, but I didn't mind. I grabbed some pocky and scanned the shelves for anything else of interest. Just as I was about to grab (favorite chips) someone wrapped their arms around my waist. In a state of panic, I readied my fist to punch the person behind me into the next solar system, but to my relief it was just Sho-chan.
"Jeez, Sho-chan! You need to say something before you come up behind me like that! I nearly punched you in the face!"
"Sorry, I just left to go find something, but when I came back, I realized you weren't in the aisle with all the frosting. I began running around the store until I found you."
"Well you just left, so I decided to wander around as well." I then grabbed a bag of (favorite chips) and placed it in the cart. "Is there anything you want?"
"I want cold soba for dinner."
"Alright, let's go grab the ingredients."
We made our way around the store and grabbed everything we needed. Afterwards, we went to the check out counter and made our way back to my house.
