Summary: The gang rescues a woman who speaks Spanish and ends up spending a lot of time with Javier, which upsets the reader.

You tried to pretend that it didn't bother you but you could admit to yourself that you were jealous.
Last week the gang had saved a young woman from an O'Driscoll camp, her name was Sofia Martinez and she had been staying in the van der Linde camp since then. You couldn't say that you didn't like her, she was lovely. She seemed nice and was very pretty. The only problem was that she didn't speak much English, she mainly spoke Spanish and that meant that she spent a lot of time with Javier.
You had liked Javier for some time now. All he had to do was look at you to make you a flustered mess. You had a small hope that he felt the same way about you but now you are starting to think that he had a thing for Sofia.
You sighed as you wandered over to the camp fire, taking a seat beside Lenny and trying to ignore Javier and Sofia who were sitting opposite you.
"Tal vez deberías decirle a ella" Sofia spoke, her face turned towards Javier. "No sé cómo no se dio cuenta de que la estabas mirando todo el día" she continued and you wished that you knew what she was saying to him. However, a part of you was actually glad that you couldn't understand them, you didn't want to hear them if they were flirting.
"¿Puedes por favor bajar tu voz?" Javier spoke back, you didn't know what he was saying but you could tell that it was a question.
"¿por qué? Ella no puede entendernos, y eso probablemente la está volviendo loca" she giggled and you had to fight the urge to roll your eyes. "Cuéntame sobre ella" she smiled, looking to at Javier in a way that you could only describe as curious.
"Es la mujer más hermosa que he visto en mi vida" he sighed, a small smile tugged at his lips as he stared into the fire.
"Eso es una declaración bastante audaz" Sofia hummed, tilting his head at her.
"Pero es verdad. Ella es hermosa por dentro y por fuera. Ella es amable con todos los que conoce, siempre trata de hacer felices a las personas, incluso cuando está triste. No hay muchas personas así en esta vida, ella es una belleza rara y ni siquiera lo sabe" Javier gushed, his smile only growing and it crushed your heart to see him smiling like that when he was talking to her.
"Dile a ella" Sofia smiled, nudging his arm almost playfully.
"Ella no quiere escucharlo" he shook his head as his smile fell from his face.
"Usted, señor Escuella, está completamente ciego. Ella quiere escucharlo, necesita escucharlo. Créeme" she giggled again as she placed her hand on his arm. That was enough for you, you couldn't sit here and watch this any longer. You smiled at Lenny and said your goodbyes before standing up and walking towards your tent.
"Lo haré, pero si lo arruino todo, te culparé" Javier nodded as he watched you walking away from the camp fire. Sofia had been right, he had been watching you all day and many days before that but he never saw you staring back so he always assumed that you weren't interested in him that way.
"No arruinaras nada" Sofia assured him, patting his shoulder in a friendly manner as he stood up. She smiled as she watched Javier walking after you, happy that she had managed pushed him to talk to you.
You disappeared into your tent and took a seat on your bed, picking up a book. "Hey, Y/N" Javier smiled as he stepped into the tent.
"Oh, hello Javier" you smiled slightly as you looked up at him, trying not to completely melt when you saw his usual charming smile.
"I haven't seen you in a while. It feels like forever since we last spoke" he said as he walked further into your tent, standing in front of you.
"Yeah...well, I've been busy and you have been spending a lot of time with Miss Martinez" you shrugged and turned away, looking back down at your book, dismissing him almost coldly. Javier didn't say anything to that, he wasn't really sure what to say, all he could do was look at you wondering if he had done something to upset you. "I'm sorry, you didn't deserve that" you apologised with a sigh as you looked up to face him again. You knew that he didn't deserve to be spoken to like that, he had done nothing wrong.
"Miss Martinez doesn't speak much English and I'm the only person in camp who speaks Spanish, at least the only one who speaks it well enough to hold a conversation" he explained why he had been spending so much time with her as if you didn't already know that.
"I know...she must be rather lonely" you sighed as you placed the book down on the bed beside you.
"She is but she has caught word that her family are staying up at a camp on the other side of Valentine...I'm going to take her there tomorrow morning" Javier told you. Your eyes widened slightly in shock, you didn't know about this. Sofia was returning to her family tomorrow, you were happy for her but felt a little selfish for being happy about her leaving.
"That's nice of you...you gonna miss her?" you asked, looking up at him and trying not to seemed phased.
"I don't think so...she is nice and everything but I don't know her well" he admitted, shaking his head.
"She's pretty" you mumbled without even think, looking down at your lap with a small frown.
"I suppose...but eres la unica mujer para mi" Javier spoke softly as he took your hands in his and gently pulled you up to your feet.
"I don't know what that means" you sighed, glancing away from him.
"It means..." Javier smiled softly, using his thumb and index finger to lift your chin and make you look him in the eye. "...you are the only woman for me..." he told you, his voice barely above a whisper now. You looked at him with wide eyes and not knowing what to say. You've wanted Javier to feel the same about you for a long time, of course you wanted to hear him say something like that but you just never thought that he actually would.
"Javier...w-what are you saying?" you asked, cursing the small stutter in your voice.
"You are beautiful inside and out. You are kind to everyone that you know and always try to make people happy, even when you are sad. There are not many people like you in this life, you are a rare beauty and you don't even know it" Javier gushed, his smile never leaving his lips as he made his confession to you.
"That's...you're...I don't even know what to say Javier, I..." you stumbled over your words, too shocked to think straight.
"Would you like to know what Miss Martinez and I have been talking about?" he asked, stroking your cheek softly as he pushed some hair out of your face.
"...sure" you nodded lightly, wondering where this was going.
"You. You couldn't understand us and I know that we shouldn't have talked about you like that but I couldn't help it. I told her about you and she told me that I should tell you...everything" he explained, quickly ridding you of all the worries you previously had about them both spending so much time together.
"You really feel that way?" you asked, a small smile tugging at your lips and you brought your hand up to gently rest on your shoulders.
"Of course I do. I have felt that way for a long time but I never told you...I didn't want to scare you away" Javier chuckled, feeling rather foolish now for not telling you sooner.
"You could never do that Javier, I feel the same way about you. It's embarrassing but...I've been feeling rather...jealous of you spending so much time with Miss Martinez" you admitted, your cheeks turning pink as you hung your head.
"That's nothing to feel embarrassed about...actually I get a little jealous when I see you talking with the other men" he admitted, chuckling slightly and he lifted your head up to look at him again.
"So...what now?" you asked, scanning his face and just trying to take in his features. This is probably the closest you've ever been to him.
Javier didn't say anything to respond to you, instead he cupped your cheek and pressed his lips gently against yours. You instantly responded to the kiss and slowly wrapped your arms around his neck. His other arm wrapped around your waist and pulled you against him, pressing your body against his.
Everything stood still as you finally kissed the man that you had been pining over for long, and it was completely perfect. You felt like you could stay in the moment forever.
Javier smiled against your lips before returning to the slow but passionate pace he had set, it felt amazing to have you in his arms at last.
