Lights flickered on and off as Nagisa ran down the long hallway of the broken school. A loud, unsteady laugh came from his right. Something wasn't right about this. He heard loud footsteps walking fast toward him. He ran into the closest room possible. His breathing was heavy.
Darkness surrounded him. He pulled out his phone, trying to call the police. No connection. He turned his flashlight on and searched the room. A thick red substance covered the window, the air smelling like death. The chairs had been tipped over, the school bags ripped to shreds.
He turned toward the front of the classroom and instantly regretted it. A tall woman hung from a thick rope around her neck, her face had been peeled off. Nagisa fell to the floor, tears streaming down his face. This was the end of him. Or was it?
