Cheryls POV
1 hour later and Toni still hasn't returned.
"Fangs, What the fuck was in that letter Toni slipped in your pocket?"
"What letter?" He asks confused
I shove my hand into his pocket and grab the note.
"You havent read this?" I ask
"No, i havent,"
I hand it to him just in case there is something that I'm not supposed to know in it. He scans it over quickly before reading out loud.
"Dear fangs, I'm writing this letter because I'm going away for a long time, I don't know how long, I don't know where. but the ghoulies and I made a deal, if I leave before 11:59 on July 4th there would be no more attacks and no more blood spilt. I'm doing this to protect Cheryl and the girls, and to protect the serpents. Do not let Cheryl come look for me, it's no use anyways and she'll get hurt. I leave temporary command of the serpents to you with Cheryl and Sweetpea being your right hands. I love you all and I'm sorry but if I told anyone about this they would've come after Cheryl. If you guys need more, in my nightstand there is a small velvet box of a few things that will help make sense of everything. I have a burner phone on me, the number is at the bottom of the page and it will only be used in the event a ghoulie or ghoulies attack a serpent property, Pops, or goes anywhere near Cheryl or the girls. If you use this and it's not an attack, life or death scenario they will kill me and then Cheryl. Thanks, I hope to see you again soon... Toni Topaz." He says finishing in shock
"So she just left?" I ask "she left me?"
"Cheryl go get that box she's talking about," Fangs says
Angrily, I walk upstairs. Toni left me, she left me with the girls and didn't even say a proper goodbye. I grab the box and go back downstairs.
"Here it is,"
We open it to see a bunch of different things, but the first thing we pull out is a dirty piece of paper.
"I-is that blood?" I ask seeing a reddish brown stain
Fangs nods
"Maybe when the guy stabbed her he gave it to her," he reasons
Sweetpea grabs it and starts reading,
Basically if Toni didn't go with them, they would've tried to kill me.
"So she did this because they threatened me?" I ask
"Ya Red, She did," Sweetpea says
Another thing I pull out is a letter, in a red envelope and in bold black letters it says- my love
"Boys can I Open this late when I'm alone?" I ask shyly
"Of course Cheryl," fangs says with a soft smile
Just as all of this is going on all 4 girls come downstairs because of the noise and see me crying.
"Mommy what wrong?" Kait asks
"Where's toni?" Madi asks
"Girls sit down," I say ushering to the couches
Worried they all sit down beside Sweetpea while fangs sits beside me.
"Girls Mommy had to go away for... a bit,"
"Like the night?" Alex asks confused
"Sweetie, I don't know how long she will be gone for, or where she is,"
"When did she leave?" Madi asks
"About 2 hours ago,"
"She didn't even say goodbye. Where did she go? And with who? She's always with one of you three?" Alex says
"Little ones why don't you go get something to eat? Mommy has to talk to the older girls," I say to Kait And Tayleigh
"Ya c'mon kids I'll make you sandwiches," Fangs says bringing them to the kitchen.
I hand Madi the note where the ghoulies threaten me and Alex the one Toni wrote. They read in silence and switch.
"So the ghoulies threatened you, and Toni left?"
"Yes, the ghoulies told Toni if she didnt go with them they would come after me and then you girls and your sisters."
"We could've fought, the serpents, all of us could've helped you guys,"
"The funny thing about your mom is that even though shes in a gang, your mom hates violence. I shot someone with a bow and arrow in junior year and she got so mad at me, Remember that Pea?" I say
"Ya she was not happy we let you do that,"
The girls let out a small laugh.
"Your mom, is too tough for her own good, she is protective and she thinks 4 steps ahead. The problem with that, is that she only sees the consequences of the first step so the other three always bite her in the ass,"
"Will she be ok?" Alex asks
"I think she I'll be fine," Pea says
"What if they kill her?" Madi asks quietly
"They want something out of her, they want her for a reason so they wont kill her sweetie,"
They nod and walk away. And I? Hope I'm right about that.
