Cheryls POV
I got the call 3 hours later.
"Cher," Toni says " I got her, we are at RG,"
"OMG Toni I'm on my way,"
"Bring Mads, and the twins," She says
"Ok love you,"
"Love you too baby,"
She hangs up and I go get the girls who are sleeping. I walk to Madi's room.
"Mads, up we're going to the hospital,"
"Why?" She asks sitting up
"Toni found Lexi, Shes home kid," I smile
She perks up and runs down stairs when I get the twins.
"Girlies, get up we have to go to the hospital,"
"Why mommy?" Kait asks
"T found Lexi," i smile
They run down the stairs and we all file into the car and I speed to Riverdale General.
"Hey speed demon, slow it down," Madi jokes
I just laugh as I pick Tayleigh up (because she cant run), and we all run and find Toni on the 3rd floor where she texted me she was.
"T!" I yell seeing her
"Cher!" She hugs me and pecks my lips
"Where is she?" Madi asks
"She's still in with the doctor, he'll be a few minutes," She says "Fangs and Pea are going to get food if you girls want to go find them,"
"Ok," Madi says taking her sisters hands and going down the hall
Toni looks at me and hugs me.
"T how was she?"
"Babe, we found her in an underground abandoned cellar, she probably lost 30 pounds and-" She starts before starting to break down "She had bruises and wounds all over her body, they cut most of her hair off. She was in her underwear and t-shirt,"
I just hug her.
"She was literally in hell, Cheryl," She sobs
"You found her, you got her out," I whisper
"Did she say anything?" I ask after a few minutes
"She screamed when I first broke the door, started crying until she noticed it was me. Then she broke down and once we got her out of there, Kev is chasing suspects now, doesnt know if he's going to catch them, they have two women and a mn in custody already, they think there is 2 more running,"
We hug until the doctor comes out and says to go talk to her. I walk in and I see her lying in that bed, she is a shell of what she looked like before this. Bruises and cigarette burns all over her body and cuts from what look like a blade on her arms. Her hair that used to be all the way down her tailbone is now cut to her chin.
"Moms?" She says turning her head to see us
"Hey kid," I say sitting down next to her
She looks shocked when she sees Toni.
"They told me you d-died because me," she says looking at her hands "They told me you started drinking because of my disappearance and Tay and- and crashed your motorcycle, th-they told me- it was my fault,"
She starts crying.
"Mommy I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry,"
"Alex its fine, ok? I'm fine," Toni says
Toni touch's her hand and she flinches away.
"I- I tried to change my mind, I called him and started walking home, th-they came after me and Tayleigh was there, I didnt know I swear. I'm so so sorry," She says sobbing
The doctor asks us to leave and let Alex sleep.
Toni brings the little ones to Fangs and Jug as I stay in the hall with Madi.
"Mads," I say as she looks through the window at Alex sleeping and begins crying
"Her- her hair her face wha-what happened," Madi sobs "I should've protected her,"
"Kiddo you couldn't've, some things are out of our control." I say hugging her
I see Toni talking to a doctor and drop her head.
"Why dont you find the little ones?" I ask
She nods and walks away as Toni comes to me.
"Cheryl, they rushed the, rape kit done on her and there are 2 different DNA patterns. recent and enough to show repeated assaults," She says crying "I'm gunna kill them,"
"Babe, you cant,"
"I'm done with non lethal bull shit Cheryl, I will end this,"
"No you wont, we have 4 children that need both their mothers,"
"Cheryl,"
"Toni, this isn't even up for debate,"
She nods and hugs me.
While we wait in the waiting room, Madi posts on Instagram and texts Chad.

Chad took this really hard and really helped Mads and Kait while Tay was in the hospital.
"Mom, is she going to be ok?" Madi asks
"Physically, yes, emotionally, hopefully someday," Toni says
Madi nods.
After a few hours of silence a doctor comes in.
"Cheryl, Toni, Alex is asking for you."
We nod and walk to her room.
"Hey Lexi," I say walking in
"Don't call me that please," she whispers
"Ok, I'm sorry," I say sitting down
"Can I tell you guys, what they told me? I want to figure out what's was lies,"
"For sure Alex,"
"You two had marital problems and got divorced," She says looking at her hands
"100% false, we never even fought or anything," Toni says grabbing my hand
"Ok and its obvious you're alive but did you turn to alcohol?" She asks looking at Toni
"No, not at all. The only alcohol I drank when you were gone was a glass of champagne last night after the election,"
"Did you win?" She asks confused
"Ya sweetie I won," I say
"They told me you dropped out the day after you found out I was missing,"
"I thought about it but i didnt, Tones wouldn't let me," I say smiling at Toni
"When Tayleigh di-died you blamed me for what happened," She says breaking down
"Baby Tay didnt die," I say "She was hurt for a while but she's ok,"
"No, no, no dont lie to me. She stopped breathing in my arms, on the road, she-she when I was trying to stop the bleeding with my jacket she stopped,"
"Kiddo, she did stop breathing but she fought and came back. I promise you, I'm not lying," I say
"Why dont I go get her?" Toni suggests
Toni leaves and Alex keeps talking.
"Is Tay angry at me? For what happened?"
"Not at all, she was angry at herself and still is for not listening to you. Can I be honest with you?" I ask
She nods
"Tay thought it was her fault you were kidnapped,"
She just shakes her head.
"Was Madi expelled for punching Chad?" She asks
"No... actually her and Chad became pretty good friends,"
"Malachai told me Mads thought it was Chad's fault, and she beat him up and Madi was not going to school,"
"Completely wrong, Mads barely missed school and never punched anyone,"
"Good" She nods as Toni walks in carrying Tayleigh
She sets Tayleigh down and Tayleigh wobble/runs to Alex's side. Alex just hugs her.
"I'm so sorry Tay,"
"It was my fault Alex," Tay says hugging her back
"Look at me Tay, never say that ok? Don't blame yourself ever, this one was my fault,"
Tayleigh nods and Alex wipes her tears.
"I missed you, Taylor and Madi are too crazy without you,"
Alex laughs and hugs her again.
"Tay go back and see KT and Mads ok? Fangs says he bought you candy," Toni says
Tayleigh leaves and we sit down again to talk.
"Was there anything else?" I ask "Did they tell you anything else,"
"No," She says shaking her head
"I'll be right back," I say getting up to the go to the bathroom
Toni grabs my hand and looks at me confused.
"I have to go to the bathroom T," I say
"Ok,"
Toni's POV
Cheryl leaves and I keep talking to Alex.
"Actually there was another thing, Did Cheryl and Fangs leave the serpents?"
"Nope,"
"I'm sorry about all the questions, it's just confusing,"
"Kid its fine, can I ask you a question?" I ask
"Sure,"
"What happened to you hair?"
"They cut it off within the first week, they were trying to take away my identity, my everything. I would talk about Madi sometimes when they let me speak and they told me I didnt have a sister that we dont look a like and cut it. They liked to Warp reality, there was 5 people in all, they were always there, Everyday, every hour."
"5?" I question
"Malachai, Dylan, Mrs. Smythe, a lady named Penny and a man, very tall- with the old serpent jacket on, he never really came in or anything just yelled at Malachai" She says "They didnt let me eat, I only slept 2-3 hours a night, I tried to run, I did, it just never worked," She says starting to cry
I hug her and she tenses up before accepting it and hugging me.
Cher and i sit in her room and let her sleep.
"How do you think shes gunna be?" Cheryl asks cuddling into my side
"I think shes going to be ok, maybe not today, maybe not even next week, but eventually," I say rubbing her arm
She kisses my cheek and the doctor walks in.
"We feel Alex is stable enough to go home. I feel she needs to heal with her family at her pace, in her own space," He says
"Really?" Cheryl asks shocked
"Really," He says "We will give her a wheelchair and crutches because her legs are fairly weak, we have some meds for her but I can go over all of that with you and I need to put a cast on her right arm. Can one of you come sign some forms?"
"I'll go, can wake her up babe?" Cheryl asks
"Ya for sure, get Mads to come and bring the clothes Fangs had for Alex," I say
"Ok," She gets up and follows the doctor
"Hey Lex," I whisper and lightly shake her
She wakes up immediately in a panic before looking at me and calming down.
"Sorry kiddo, didnt mean to scare you but the doctor said you can go home," I smile
She smiles back and slowly swings her legs off the bed.
"Mads is bringing some clothes for you to change into." I say
She nods as MAdi walks in. They both perk up and Mads runs over and hugs her.
"I missed you Lexi," She says
Oh shit. Alex jumps back.
"Just Alex," She whispers
"Ok," Madi says confused
She looks at me and I just shake my head.
"Here's your clothes, do you need help?" Madi asks
"Oh, ugh, um. Toni can help me," She says looking at me and hobbling to the bathroom.
MAdi looks at and shrugs while sitting on the bed. I walk into the bathroom and shut the door.
"I just didnt want Madi to see the bruises," She says as she nervously takes off her shirt.
I see several bruises about the size of my hand or bigger on her torso and over her kidneys. She turns around and reveals several scratches making out "DG" on her back.
"Dylan George, if you were wondering," She says noticing my silence "Thats what it stands for,"
"Oh," was all I could manage to say
I help her into the shirt and then she puts on the jeans that used to sit tight to her legs but now look almost baggy. And finally I hand her a brand new serpent jack with mat black leather.
"Toni you didnt have to get me one, I don't deserve it," She says taking it in her hands
"Yes I did and yes you do, you're the strongest person I know Alex, you deserve this more than anyone,"
"Thanks mom," She hugs me and we leave the bathroom
"Love the jacket Alex.: MAdi says
"Thanks,"
"Hey mom Chad just texted me, he's at Pops if we wanted to pop by and say hi," She says
"Only if your up for it Alex," I say
"Ya why not," She says
She gets her cast on and learns how to use the crutches with it. After more review of her X-rays, the doctor put a cast on her left foot because he saw a break the radiologist didnt report. We say our goodbyes and leave to go to pops. When we get there the four girls get out and walk in front of us.
"Mads come here," i say
"Whats up?"
"Did you tell CHad not to call her Lexi?"
"Ya I texted him,"
"Ok good,"
She catches up to Lex and the girls when I start talking to cher.
"I was helping her change and on her back she has scratches that look like they're gunna scar, he wrote DG for his initials on her back Cheryl," I say trying not to break down
"That's terrible," She whispers as we get to the restaurant
Chad hugs Alex who is genuinely smiling.
Alex's POV
Chad and I talk for a few minutes before I notice his hair changed.
"I like what you did to your hair Chad," I say "looks nice,"
"Thanks," He says shyly "I like your new jacket,"
"Toni got it for me," I smile
"I like your hair short by the way," He says "You're so pretty,"
"You're cute," I laugh at his attempts to flirt "but no I'm not pretty,"
I look like a disaster. I havent slept in 2 months, have bruises all over my face, my hair is so knotted and tangled because they didnt really do anything with it at the hospital and I have a large scar right from my left temple to my jaw from a knife- and that's only the visible stuff. Never mind the facts that the last 2 months I was constantly told I was ugly and disgusting, i started to believe it.
"You're beautiful Alex," he says
I just blush and look down at my feet.
"Lexi, do you want anything to eat?" Kait asks
"Kait, dont call me that please and tell moms I'm not hungry,"
When I was in the cellar the 5 would use Lexi as a taunt, when they would do things to me and... hurt me they would use Lexi. Pretty much every time i heard that name I wanted to vomit.
"Alex, Mommy says you should eat," Tayleigh says
"Fine just get me a burger and water,"
"I've got to get going Alex, I'll text you ok?" He says looking at his watch
"For sure, see you soon," I smile
He hugs me and says goodbye to my moms and leaves. And We go home to eat.
"Alex do you want to take a shower?"
I nod and crutch up stairs.
Tonis POV
We got alex a waterproof cast so she could swim and shower and everything so I wasn't worried until I heard crying coming from upstairs. The girls didnt seem to notice but Cher looked at me concerned.
"I'll go make sure shes ok,"
I walk upstairs and hear what seems to be her throwing up.
"Alex can I come in,"
"S-sure,"
I walk in just as she throws up again and then stands up.
"Are you feeling sick," I ask
She looks in the mirror with disgust.
"I'm repulsive and I saw myself in the mirror for the first time in months and I feel- maybe Dylan and the others were right." She says with tears rolling down her cheeks "I'm a repulsive, disgusting slut. Maybe I dont deserve the kindness other people show me and maybe I have no future because I'm a whore,"
I cant really see what shes looking at because shes not facing me but shes fixated on a spot on her torso.
"Baby they are wrong ok? You're the best and strongest kid I've ever met. Your sweet and kind, and you're not a slut ok? I promise you that, don't let them define you."
"This might make you think different, they said it would make you hate me," She says turning
immediately I know what shes talking about. She has dark purple hickeys all over her breasts and basically everywhere her bra covered early. Several scarred bite marks and some newer ones lined her breasts, some looked infected even.
"I know I'm terrible," She says closing her towel
"Alex, your not terrible. Its not your fault," i say hugging her
"But it is, If I wasn't stupid, Tay wouldn't have been shot and I might have my life together,"
"You're not stupid, you were brave. And brave people when they hit a point where they are scared have clouded thoughts and uses their actions to protect people at all costs. Thats why you remind me of Cheryl so much- your too brave for your own good.
We hug for a wile before she has her shower and I go downstairs.
