((Katiea POV))
I was shaken awake and opened my eyes to see Fili and Kili grinning at me way inside my comfort zone. "Rise and shine sleepin beauty~" they said in sync. I giggled and pushed their faces back. "Creepers."
I stood and noticed something, my leg was completely healed! "I can walk again!" I said happily only to have my mouth covered. "Shh, I'm happy for you but you need to keep your voice down until we get out of Rivendell." I heard Thorin whisper in my ear. "Yes sir." I whispered back.
I ran to hide in privacy and changed my clothes. I changed back into pants and a shirt. When I was done I joined the others. We all snuck out of Rivendell and where on our way. "Hey Thorin! Now that we're out of Rivendell, can I celebrate that I can walk again now?" I yelled. "Go ahead."
To my surprise I was lifted up by Fili and Kili who chanted and ran around. "KATIEA CAN WALK AGAIN KATIEA CAN WALK AGAIN!" I laughed was set down. "You three are odd ones!" I heard Balin say with a grin. I jogged back and walked next to Thorin. "I'm happy your feeling better." Thorin said tossing an arm around my shoulder. I felt a sudden stinging pain and threw his arm off of me. "Ow!" I cried. "What's wrong??" He asked. "Um...I think...I just pulled a muscle or something...I'll be alright~" I said with a nervous laugh before shrinking back to the back of the group.
Once I knew nobody was looking at me I looked at my shoulder. I had a large cut on my shoulder, "I'll sow it when we stop..." I said, wondering where it came from.
We walked for quite some time and I ended back up at the front with Fili and Kili and Dwalin and Thorin. It was great until we ended up walking on a small cliff. "Uh...sketchy..." I mumbled. I looked at Dwalin who was next to me and he looked back. "Stay close to the wall lass." I nodded. We walked along the wall but that became quite difficult once the down pour of rain started. "Ugh! I can hardly see infront of me!" I said. "Don't worry, it will stop soon!" I heard Bilbo say. Suddenly we all heard a loud crash. "This is no thunderstorm. it's a thunder battle!" I heard Balin yell. I looked at Fili. "What's a thunder battle?!?!" I said scared. Suddenly the ground shook and I almost fell from the cliff. I screamed then Dwalin grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me back up. My heart was pounding in my chest. "The stories are true..." Bofur said. I looked through the thick rain to see a large boulder flying towards the mountain we where on, then a large man like figure. "GIANTS! STONE GIANTS!" I was officially scared. I reached and held onto Kili's hand tightly. Suddenly I watched the ground we where standing on start to split. "Oh my god..." I whispered. I held onto the wall and half of our group was separated, me being with Kili, Balin and some others. "KATIEA! KILI!!" We heard Thorin yell. "THORIN!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Kili held onto me as tightly as he could. I hugged him and cried into his shirt. We felt the stone leg moving then suddenly saw as we where being hurled towards the mountain. I screamed when we hit the wall. "KATIEA! KILI!" I heard until I got the wind knocked out of me when my stomach hit the wall. I was soon being looked at and held. My vision was blurry but I could tell it was Dwalin who was lifting me. "Are you alright lass?" I was about to answer until I heard Bofur. "Where's bilbo?!?" I jumped out of Dwalins arms and looked over the edge. "Bilbo!" I screamed before reaching and taking his hands. While I pulling my foot slipped and I fell off the cliff. I screamed and grabbed onto the side next to bilbo. Suddenly Thorin swopped down and lifted bilbo to safety then me. I was shaking as I watched Dwalin lift Thorin. Once he got back on, he glared at Bilbo and I. "I thought we lost our burglars!" Bofur said in relief. "They've been lost, ever since they left home." Thorin said looking away from us. I felt my heart break. Bilbo helped me up and we followed the group.
We where all looking around the cave and I sat and looked at my shoulder again. I winced at it then grabbed my sowing stuff.
"What on earth happened?" Balin asked coming to check on me. I poked the needle through my skin and started to sow it. "To be completely honest I'm not sure, I noticed it when we first left Rivendell and Thorin touched my shoulder." Balin nodded and took a seat next to me. I finished sowing it and put my things away.
I stood and pulled off my shirt, it was soaked. I didn't even think about the fact that I didn't have anything underneath to cover my bruised and beaten body other than a wrap I had around my chest.
All the dwarves looked at me in awe, Thorin looked at me in horror. "What happened to you?!?!" He said. Kili and Fili looked at a loss of what to do.
Thorin came near me and I backed away from him. "Stay still halfling I only want to look!" He said. "DONT TOUCH ME!" I screamed. I backed away and tripped over a rock and fell only my back.
"Katiea...we only want to help you...please dear." Balin said softly. "No...please just get away from me." I whimpered. I was in pain from falling on my back. "Katiea why are you pushing us away?! We only want to help!" Thorin said. "How do I know that once I tell you you won't leave me?!! How do I know you won't think of me differently?! How to I know you won't call me a coward and leave me behind in this god awful place! How do I know...I won't be left alone...to go back to that horrible place I'm forced to call home?" I felt tears streaming down my face.
All the dwarves got a look of sorrow in their eyes. "...what are you talking about? Why is your home horrible?" Dwalin asked. "Yeah, homes are supposed to be somewhere your safe and happy!" Ori said.
"My home used to be...before my father died...now it's just a place if pain and misery." I said wrapping my arms around myself. "Come now...surely you don't mean that lass..." Bofur said. Fili looked as though he wanted to explain the whole thing. "Katiea your being ridiculous. Tell us where those came from immediately! I don't care where they came from! Tell us and stop pushing us away. We've all been wanting to know now jut say it!" Thorin said, I hung my head low and looked at my feet. "How am I supposed to tell...the great King under the Mountain that I got all of these from my mother?" I said in a low tone. I heard all the dwarves gasp. "What..." Thorin said.
"Yes...my mother gave me...every bruise...every scar...and every gash you see on me. She hates me and she wishes me dead. She was actually hoping I died on this journey." I said and I shook trying not to cry, though I failed. "Katiea...why didn't you tell anybody?" Bilbo said coming closer. "Who was I supposed to tell?!! I have no friends!! No family!!! The only person that knew was Fili!" I yelled. Thorin glared at Fili. "Why did you not tell us?!" He yelled at him. "DONT YOU DARE YELL AT HIM!" I snapped. "I told him because he came to me and I just told him. But I made him promise not to tell any of you!" I said. Fili nodded. Thorin looked back to me. "Why would you not tell me? Or any of us what where you thinking?" He asked.
I started crying and I fell to my knees. "I didn't tell you...because I didn't think you would care, you would probably think I was a weak small child...a fool. After this is all over you would probably just send me back home and I would be beaten or killed for coming back." I whispered. I felt a blanket being tossed around my shoulders. Bofur rubbed my arms. "Of course we care," he said. "Your not weak, or a fool! Not in the slightest." All the dwarves said as they crowded around me except Thorin. He stayed silent. "Katiea...when we go home you can come live with me." I heard Bilbo say. I was about to reply but Thorin beat me to it.
"Katiea won't be going home. I won't allow it." He said. I looked up at him in shock. "W-what?" I asked.
"If you think I'm letting you go back to your home your sorely mistaken. I will not allow you to be hurt like this." He said. I stood and looked at him confused. "What are you saying..." I asked timidly. "You will live in Erebor with me. Where you will never be harmed again. If anyone tries to lay a finger on you in a harmful way agin, they will regret the day they where born." He said. I looked at him in awe.
"I'm...I'm going to live in Erebor?" I looked around at the other dwarves who nodded and smiled. "W-what!!?" I asked in complete shock. "Yes. You will live in Erebor with us."
((Thorin POV))
I looked at Katiea, who had tears streaming down her face. "Thorin..." She whispered. I looked at her. Suddenly she ran at me and jumped on me wrapping her arms around me and her legs round my waist. I held onto her and she cried violently. "Thank you so much!!" She cried and held onto me tighter. "Katiea, calm down now dear." I heard Balin said. I shook my head and held onto her. I carried her to the corner of the cave where I was going to be sleeping and sat down. She still held onto me shaking. I moved her to sit in my lap. I petted her hair until she calmed down. Soon I realized that she had fallen asleep. "Is she okay?" Dwalin asked me coming over. I nodded. "I believe so, I'm shocked...by what she told us. I can't imagine anyone who would harm their child like this." I said looking down at her. "A cruel being her mother must be. I must admit, she's grown on me, I hate to see her so harmed." Dwalin said. I nodded and he went to go to bed. "Bofur, your on watch." I said and he nodded. I noticed that Katiea started to shiver.
I let go of the halfling and grabbed the blanket next to me on the ground and laid her down on it. I threw my fur coat over her, she instantly snuggled underneath it. She moved and used my arm as a pillow. I sighed and laid on my back and felt her roll and hold onto my vest with her small hand. I placed my other over hers and held onto it while holding her in my other arm. I looked at her face and saw a tear rolling down her cheek. I wiped it away and sighed "sleep well my love..." then a soon I fell into a light sleep.

Hey, I don't usually do these author notes but I am. Agh dramatic chapter, I hoped you enjoyed it. I was crying while I was writing it and I still kind of am. I hope you all are enjoying the story I'm trying to update it as fast as possible but I've been a little busy lately.
