*Sav's POV*
The next day, I tried to put yesterdays events with Eli out of my mind as I walked up to my office building. I walked in and saw the elevator doors starting to close.
"Hold it!" I called out as I rushed forward. A hand stuck itself out and the elevator doors binged back open. I hurried on. Eli was standing there with a small smile on her face. I gave her a smile. "Thanks so much!"
She shrugged, saying "No biggie!" I grinned again.
But noticed the uncomfortable silence that engulfed us. We shifted nervously from foot to foot. Why was this so.....wrong? Why did I suddenly get a bad feeling from her? From the encounter we had yesterday? Eli didn't seem the kind of girl to snitch about something. She was like me, and I knew I wouldn't. When the doors open, we parted ways without another word. I tried to shrug off the bad feeling I had while I got to work.
Chris came to surprise me with Chipotle for lunch. He knocked while I was in the middle of writing a synopsis to be forward to him, actually. His knock startled me and I jumped in my chair before I glanced up and saw that it was him. I smiled as he came in, the smell of food invading my nose and my office. He set them down before he leaned in for a kiss.
"Hello love," he greeted. I smiled.
"Hi," I said, blushing. He offered me a bag and I took it. We took out our food and began to eat, talking, making small talk, most of it relating to work because i mentioned the report. When lunch was over, he gathered our trash and threw it away. I got up to walk him out. He stopped me at the door, by taking me in his arms. I blushed as I nearly stumbled into him.
"I love you," he murmured.
"I love you too," I said.
He brought his lips to mine and I couldn't help but relish in the feel of his soft, warm, lips agianst mine as he held me close to his body. He gently bit my lip, asking for entrance and I granted it. There was no use in fighting for domninance, so I've learned, so I just let him controll the kiss as his hand caressed my backside and, if possible, pull me closer to him. I was just about to pull away, to get back to work, when I heard someone's throat being cleared.
Chris and I jumped apart to see who had interrupted us. Sara and Eli stood there. Sara held a disaproving look, while Eli had a look of evil glee. I had no doubt in my mind she told on us. Sara crossed her arms and took a step forward.
"Both of you, my office, NOW!" she said, her voice escalating with each word she said. I hung my head as I followed Chris and Sara to the elevator. When I passed Eli, I heard her mutter "whore." Despite the situation I was in, I couldn't help but come back with "bitch". I heard Chris chuckle, so I knew he heard me. Eli huffed and turned on her heel, her head in the air and went to her office.
To say the ride up to the top floor was awkward or uncomfortable, that would have been the biggest understatement of the century. You were in there with your boss/love/boyfriend and HIS BOSS/ex-lover......so yeah... That ride was fun.
Sara didn't look at us while she led us to her offfice. She pointed at the chairs in front of her while she walked around her desk and sat down. I looked at my hands while I sat down with Chris. The silence before she spoke was deafening and my heart pounded with each silent moment that passed. I dared a glance up. Sara's face was in a sneer, a look of pure hatred, disgust and a bit of longing. She looked at Chris, who held her light eyes without so much as flinching.
"YOU FUCKING IDIOT! Do you know what you've done? Sleeping with some whore that works for you, someone who's BELOW you and your stature that you've built up! Do you know what that will do to the REPUTATION OF THE FUCKING COMPANY YOU AND I BUILT FROM THE FUCKING GROUND! This is by far one of the most stupidest things you HAVE EVER DONE, FUCKING CUNT! You're lucky I've known you for most of your life, because I would have fired you the moment I began to suspect something!" she screeched at him. He didn't flinched. I opened my mouth to say something but then she turned on me.
"AND YOU, YOU STUPID SLUT! SLEEP WITH HIM TO GET THE POSITION? MOST LIKELY. YOU'RE RECORD WAS NOTHING SPECIAL. WE COULD HAVE PICKED SOMEONE ELSE, ANYONE ELSE TO FULLFILL YOUR PATHETIC JOB, I WANT YOU OUT OF THIS FUCKING OFFIC WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR. YOU'RE A STUPID SLUT NOW GET OUT!" she screamed.
With each insult, each sneered word she through at me, my eyes watered that much more. I stood up shakily to leave. But Chris grabbed my arm. I looked down at him, but he wasn't looking at me. His face was twisted in pure rage. I've never seen him this angry. His eyes were pinned on Sara, who by the end of her rant, was standing. Chris got to his feet slowly, letting go of my arm. I heard the wall tick by, signaling a second had gone by.
That's when Chris lost his shit.
"HOW DARE YOU FUCKING TALK TO HER LIKE THAT! IF ANYONE HERE IS A SLUT, ITS YOU! YOU SLEPT WITH ME, THE ENTIRE TIME WANTING MORE MONEY, WANTING FULL CONTROL OF MY DAMNED COMPANY! WHY DO YOU THINK I BROKE IT OFF? HUH? AND DON'T YOU DARE EVEN LOOK AT HER. SHE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE MORE OF A WOMAN THAT YOU'LL EVER BE. SHE'S GONE THROUGH HELL AND BACK MORE THAN ONCE AND SHE'S FUCKING AMAZING. AND YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU'RE FIRED! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY BUILDING. GET THE FUCK OUT OF THIS COMPANY AND I SWEAR TO GOD THAT IF I EVER SEE YOU WITHIN SO MUCH AS A BLOCK AWAY FROM HERE OR MY GIRLFRIEND, I'LL HAVE THE COPS SO FAR UP YOUR ASS, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO FART WITHOUT THE AIR TOUCHING ONE OF THEM!" he screamed. I shrunk away from him. his tone single handedly pushing me away.
Sara didn't move. She was frozen with fear.
"WHAT PART OF GET THE FUCK OUT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND YOU STUPID WHORE!" he added. She blinked, her jaw dropping, before she scrambled away, a shoe falling from her feet in the process. He turned to watch her run. It was only when she dissapeared into the elevator did he turn to look at me. He reached for me and pulled me into his chest.
I collasped onto his chest as he hugged me to his chest.
"I'm so sorry," he said. I looked up.
"Thank you," i said. He looked surprised. "For defending me." He smiled.
"I only spoke the truth, love," he said, kissing my forehead. "I'm just sorry that you had to be talken to like that." I leaned up and kissed his jaw. He bent down to place a soft kiss on my lips.
"I should get back to work. We both should," I said softly. He groaned and I giggled.
"And this is why you're the responcible one," he said. I shrugged and we walked back to the elevator. I kissed him before he went to his office while I waited for the elevator. When it opened, Eli stepped out. My face fell.
"Still here?" she asked, sweetly. I rolled my eyes.
"Yes, you dumb bitch," I snapped. "Because I, unlike you, am smart enough to know that if I was going to get rid of someone, I'd go to the person who controls the company, not the bitch who wanted too." I stepped next to her and stepped in. I hit my floor button. Right when the doors started to close, I heard Chris call her name. Boy did he sound pissed. I couldn't help the smirk that came onto my face at the thought that she was probably up there gettitng her ass handed to her.

When work ended, Chris came to get me. He drove me to his apartment because he wanted to have dinner after a (extremely) stressful day at the office. I didn't blame him. I was going to ask him to come back to my place for the same reason. We got out and went up to his place. Dinner was pizza, at my request, and beer at his. We were chilling on his sofa afterwards when I realized how late it was.
"Shit," I said, getting up. I grabbed my shoes and bag and started to head to the door. I heard Chris get up behind me.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"It's nearly midnight," I grumbled, putting a hand on the wall to put on my shoe. I put on the other and reached for the door.
"Why don't you just stay here?" he asked. I turned and leaned against the wall.
"I can't. I don't have clothes," I said. He rolled his eyes.
"So?" he said, shrugging. "I think I still have your clothes from the first time we had dinner together. My face blushed at the memory. I bit my lip, debating in my head.
"Come on," he said. "One night?" (an: didn't mean for that to happen. :) but oh well) I smiled and nodded.
"Yes but for one night ok?"
He grinned and grabbed my hand, before he threw me over his shoulder. I sqealed as he shut the door and carried me to his room. He threw me onto his bed and I landed with an oomph. I pouted as i took off my shoes.
"SO gentlemanly," I grumbled as I took off my vest. I heard him laugh behind me.
I got up and undressed quickly, feeling his eyes on me. When I was done, I got into the bed and he joined me a second later, his arm sneaking around my waist and pulling me to his chest. I rolled over to look at him. I gave him a kiss, meaning to have it short, but he gripped my waist and pulled me on top of him. He just watched me, his eyes going over every part of me. I shifted and looked down at his sculpted chest. He reached up and made me look into his eyes.
"You are beautiful," he said. "Don't hide it from me. (GOING TO QUOTE TFIOS) I'm in love with you, Savanna Blackwell, and I will not deny myself the simple pleasure of being in love with you."
I smiled and nodded. "I love you too."
He grinned again and sat up, wrapping his arms around me. He kissed me, hard and deep for a moment before he pulled away, his face serious.
"Move in with me," he said. My jaw dropped. What?
"Move in with me, Savvy," he said again. I looked away. Could I? Maybe? Should I? Yes? Would Sam kill me? Definitely. Did I love him? Yes. Do I want to? I'm not sure.
"I'll clean the place up a bit, get some paint on these walls, anything you'd want."
I looked at him, seeing the sincerness in his eyes and I couldn't help but see how much he actually wanted me. He wanted me to be here. I sighed.
"Are you sure you want to see me when I have morning breath? Bed head? Bitchiness? PMS? Period? All of the things that come with being a woman," I said. I didn't want him to get into this without him knowing everything he was gettting himself into. I also didn't want him to kick me out if he sees me in a moment he doesn't like or want to see. The rejection part is what is scaring me the most right now. I didn't want to lose him.
"Of course I do," he said, smiling at my question. "I love you and I'd be here even when you go bitch mode on me, in the case of that event I'd go out and get you icecream and rent your favorite movie."
My heart swelled at his answer and I threw myself at him, crashing my lips against him, kind of painfully. His arms around me tightened.
"So is that a yes?" he questioned against my lips.
"What do you think?"
